When you stand as a surety in court for someone standing criminal trial, it is incumbent on you to produce the individual on every adjourned date as long as you are still the surety. Where you fail to produce the individual, you shall either show cause why the person is absent or in the alternative loose or forfeit the bail bond stipulations. However, the remedy available to his sureties is to apply to be discharged as sureties, and I strongly advise them to do so, otherwise the law is that they will certainly loose the bail sum and then people would start whipping in political sentiments.
