Trade has to do with technical/handy jobs working experience and example of trade related occupation are plumbing, welding, automechanics, bricklayer, fashion designer etc. but if your area of expertise has to do with hardware repair or you can coin your knowledge toward electronic gadgets repair, installations and trouble shooting, you can give it a trial.

I wrote pte after ielts because I did not get the 20 points I needed and decided to try pte.

Grant means visa is granted. That is what Australia immigration call it.

Hello all. I'm ready to do my assessment. Im a marketer in a bank and i want to nominate marketing specialist. Pls who has gone through this process before to guide me? My degree is in law and i have 5+years experience. Kindly assist as i need all the help i can get.

Make sure your job description aligns with marketing specialist job description on the Anzsco website. Its easy for vetassess to tell you that what u do is Sales rather than marketing.I know this cause i have been through it and got a positive assessment. You also need your direct manager to be able to answer questions concerning this when called.Your degree is not highly relevant to the chosen occupation but your years of experience should cover for this.Goodluck

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

I have a degree in Computer Science, worked for 3 years in a bank (NYSC inclusive) and have been self employed for the past 8 years.
Any hope for me?

Am thinking of claiming business analyst?.

So the assessing agency will call my company? What if they are not in support of my quest to travel out?

With the opening of the new Subclass 491 Regional Work visa only a day away, the Australian States and Territories are getting ready for the influx of EOI applications expected after 16 November.

The following information has been made available so far.

Victoria
The Victorian Government will accept applications for state nomination for the 491 visa from 9am on Monday 18 November 2019. There is no fee to apply for nomination, and they can use any occupation on the Immigration skilled occupation lists.
However, all applicants for the 491 visa are required to provide evidence of a current job offer in their nominated occupation, located in regional Victoria. Evidence of the employment offer, business operations, recruitment efforts, and genuine need must be provided with the application for state nomination.

Queensland
The state nomination program for General Skilled Migration remains closed, with advice that this will reopen 'in the coming weeks'. A number of occupations have been removed from the QSOL, including:

From this date, applicants for both the 491 and 190 visa will be required to pay a $220 (incl. GST) application fee for nomination applications. This must be made via credit card (Visa or Mastercard) and is not refundable regardless of application outcome.

South Australia
Migrate SA closed their state nomination system for 190 visas from 11am on 15 November 2019, in order to make changes for the 491 visa. The system will reopen in the first week of December (exact date to be determined). Applicants for the 491 visa will open at the same time.
Further information will be published in late November.

New South Wales

Sorry about this.
First off, edit the image and blur out your personal and work details.

Your job descriptions seems too small and not well aligned. You either reassess or search for another occupation to assess. It may be tough especially when you are working in Financial control and assessing as a mathematician.

Good Day Sir, can you assist with any links on how i can kickstart my australian assessment. i seems not to understand the website i was referred to.

buzu84:
Congrats Aussielyfe.

Please my Ogas

I really need help and advise now on my next step...

I have a BSC in computer science and have about 10 certified year in the IT domain.

I had early tried applying for the Aussie PR, but i had my points cut (especially for degree and profession verification by ACS because i had my degree from a Nigerian Private university i was given an Advanced Diploma equivalent and also they cut my years of experience to just 2), which made my overall points depreciate. I was quite upset that i gave up. By the way profession opted for was IT Business Analyst.

I have recently rekindled my zeal to pursue this (by force we must relocate from this naija). Please what do you advise and what are my options.

I think it is much more difficult to change the date of birth on the WAEC cert than the international passport.

If you haven't told your CO that the mistake is on the WAEC cert or the CO didn't specify which of both you should update, then I will advise you update the passport.

The above suggestions are based the assumption that her other documents correspond with the WAEC cert.

If you must do WAEC, then you will need to communicate with her secondary school. I think WAEC has a policy of passing all communications concerning school registered students through the secondary school authority.

I may be wrong on all counts.
