YOU GUYS JUST KEEP CALCULATING OF SOUTH-EAST AND SOUTH-WEST. YOU KEEP ON ISOLATING THE DECIDER OF ELECTION WINNER(NORTH WEST)? ATIKU WINNING KANO, OR KATSINA OR KADUNA OR KEEBI OR ZAMFARA OR KADUNA? IS THAT POSSIBLE? CAN ATIKU WIN 25% VOTES IN NORTHWEST? THIS MAN LOOK INTO OUR EYES AND TOLD US" ADDU'AR TALAKAWA BATA KARBUWA" MEANING THAT THE PRAYERS OF THE POOR MASSES ALWAYS GO IN VAIN.. AND YOU EXPECT ANY REASONABLE FELLA FROM THE NORTHWEST TO VOTE FOR ATIKU? HABA, MUFA BA JAKAI BANE KAMAR INYAMURAI WHEN IT COMES TO NORTH EAST THE ONLY STATE ATIKU CAN WIN IS TARABA WITH A VERY SLIM MARGIN.. HE EVEN KNOW HE CANT WIN HIS LOCAL GOVT(GANYE LOCAL GOVT) IN ADAMAWA.. MAIDUGURI, YOBE, BAUCHI, ADAMAWA, GOMBE WILL BE A FLAWLESS VICTORY TO BUHARI.. ATIKU WILL ONLY WIN BENUE AND JOS WITH SLIM MARGIN IN THE MIDDLE BELT.. HIS ONLY STRONG HOLD AREA IS THE SOUTH EAST WHICH ARE 5% AND WOULD NOT ADD ANYTHING TO ELECTION RESULTS 7 Likes |

senatordave1:there will be nothing marginal about the NC votes. The only NC states that are core APC are Kaduna and Niger. The rest could go either way, even with those two states, there is a high percentage of non-indigenes, in Southern Kaduna and places like Suleja in Niger state, APC is likely to have it tough due to the high concentration of non-indigenes in these parts. Kogi is another NC state that will swing to Buhari, but they do not have a massive number of voters and are similar to Ekiti in size. The rest of NC is up for grabs. Saraki will not allow APC smell Kwara, that one is sure. PDP will win massively there, even if he has to fight them thug for thug. Benue and Plateau are wounded lions. Benue abandoned PDP largely because of Suswam and his failure to pay salaries back in 2015, but in Buhari's four years, these people have been massacred and the only thing they have gotten in return is their lands being invaded by soldiers who further harass them and present them for slaughter to Buhari's supposed brothers. APC will be defeated resoundingly in those places because dem no go even gree them rig 5 Likes 1 Share |

safarigirl:You just got interested in politics just recently. Most importantly, politics isn't propelled by emotions but on permutations and calculations. With or without the VP slot, why give the SE a position that wouldn't count much owing to the fact that the region is pro PDP and highly anti APC? Saying the NC is the deciding factor in the upcoming elections clearly shows you don't know what you're talking about. The NW has 18M voters registered followed by 14M from the SW. The SE has just 8M, making it the least in the ranks of registered voters. If you were to be a Northern politician, you would in all honesty give the VP slot to a pro PDP region with the least registered voters? I am not surprised that you, just like others don't understand the dynamics of politcs. You would rather dress it on the altar of sentiments and emotions than what it is. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Daewang: but unfortunately that's how we find ourselves in this country. we always reap where they've not sown. the yorubas over the years have benefited more politically from the scheme of things because they tend to be smarter...and crafty. you don't act like a wounded lion all the time... you make sacrifice to get things.... if the ibos really want buhari out...come next year...they should be willing to sacrifice these VP position otherwise they will suffer the more...because buhari can never change. 1 Like |

Sanchez01:you don't know when I got interested in politics, just because I don't come here to argue blindly like most of you does not mean I just got interested In 2015, I calculated that Buhari would win and I stated it repeatedly, even on this site. Most people still think I am a Buhari supporter for telling them the truth. Now, I am calculating based on issues on ground and you think you know more than me because you have been arguing on Nairaland longer than I have? And you think I am arguing based on emotions, why? What would give you that impression? You are the one making the wrong calculations here. Buhari is still in pole position to win, but if Atiku makes the gross mistake of handing VP to SW, Voter apathy in the SE will boost Buhari's chances and Atiku will lose resoundingly. You can take that to any bank you wish. 13 Likes 1 Share |

Buterflyle0: And u think the whole of the 14 million votes in south west are yorubas abi? If he gives his vp to south west, he will still not win south west becus of Tinubu and Osinbajo. except Tinubu joins him. He will not win the election if he gives his VP to South west.. Igbos and south south will simply reduce the number of voters, south west will stilll not give him their entire votes. In fact, APC will get more votes in South west even though Atiku gives his VP to south west. The best here is for pdp leaders in south west to understand and work with Atiku for a juicy position when he wins.. The south west just want to destroy everything becus the igbos I know will simply use political apathy. Remember, igbos plenty in the north, in the west and in the south south. 9 Likes |

Mind you Igbo's don't have inferior electoral value to Yoruba.remember, the number of native Yorubas in 14 million plus vote for southwest is not up to 8 million.I laugh when people like you say Igbo don't have electoral value and I then ask whether Igbo voters are the only people in southeast.if we are electorally insignificant, let atiku say so and see whether he we smell that aso rock seat. |

safarigirl:Care to show me a recent poverty index rating? I'll tell you who a loser is: a loser is one who is near insignificant in the scheme of things. The Igbos haven't been able to get it right politically and you think that isn't a sign of losing? SE presidency is a mirage. The earlier you wake up to smell the coffee, the better it is for you. If you want to argue, do so intelligently and stop sounding like the average IPOB member! One minute you are lamenting about how your fathom offline Yoruba speakers are claiming the VP ticket should go to the SE, the next the Igbos didn't ask anyone for the Presidency, whereas the lapdog called Ohaneze has been issuing ultimata just as IPOB and MASSOB, alongside Ohaneze Youth Arm about not denying the Igbos presidency in 2023. Sanchez01:Out of those 14 million votes. How many are Yoruba vote, especially when we all know that the bulk of that votes is in Lagos - Nigeria's most populous state and a multi ethnic metropolis ? Let me agree for the sake of argument that 10 out of those 14 million votes in the sw are Yoruba votes. Atiku cannot get up to 40% of that 10 million Yoruba votes which would be around 4-5 million from Yorubas in the sw. Now compare that to 8 million from the SE, plus votes from the SS/SE in Lagos alone which would count as part of the remaining 4 million votes remaining in the south west. There is a reason why buhari have ran with eastern vps the most. Unless atiku is going to get as much northern support as buhari got in 2015, your Yoruba VP would put him in trouble . 1 Like |
