2kaybiel: I had an interview in one firm in lekki God on my side I made it through. The problem I had last 2 weeks ago was accommodation. The recruiter asked me how I intend relocating because the job demands I resume work by 7:30am to 8:00am, I told him I will figure it out. So, I tried everything I could, I called friends that know friend may be I could get a place or room to squat for 3months in Ajah or a nearby place but all to no avail. Now, I am wallowing in regret, no money no job. Pain me walahi!
I can teach ICT as a computer science graduate. I can handle any issue with computer and printer I can code
Please, if there is any opportunity for me help me out.
Thanks You can code and you're not targeting the tech companies in Yaba and other parts of the mainland? You're not applying for remote jobs? What's your tech stack? |

Programming › Re: I Need Your Help Here React Developer by 4dor: 10:07am On Sep 09, 2019 |
First things first, I think you need to keep things simple beacuse you're mixing up a lot of things.
1. You should stick to arrow arrow functions, once you do this you won't need to bind (using this). Most modern codebases do this, moreover we should all be ES6 complainant.
2. Once you initialise state like this...
state = {} you don't need a constructor. You only need a constructor once you do this.state={}
3. To understand how events work please Google "Reactjs form tutorial" a good number of insightful tutorials will come up. |

My little observation. By the way, their accent is confusing at times. My first night, was ok. Just still tired from the trip. Pictures coming soon It's time to download Google maps. Once you do this you'll never get lost again. |

Davoneskay: They all governed like Illiterates. Their academic experience never reflected in their governance. At a time, Oyo politics was called amala politics. Governed like illiterates and illiterate Governors are different things from a point of syntax and semantics. The initial statement was clear, waxing philosophical is not necessary. Btw Amala politics was a metaphor for corruption, greed and self centeredness. Amala Politics = Stomach Infrastructure |

Please who are the illiterate Governors you're talking about? |
Travel › Re: Should I Move To The UK Or Return To Nigeria? by 4dor: 11:46pm On May 13, 2019 |
ShyWhale: I am a Nigerian in Germany with a German Masters degree. It's quite difficult to get professional jobs in Germany as an African as we are usually the last of the pack. The only luck I ever had was to get internships, internships that takes several months to get and usually only for short periods. The high percentage of Africans even with German Phds doing menial jobs is highly discouraging and depressing. Most are trapped in the race for survival and I can't imagine myself living life like them. I feel I could do better with my skills and education that spreads across Europe's top countries.
I made the decision to return to Nigeria, harness my skills and start up a processing company. At 25 and the sole breadwinner of an extended family, they are asking me to stay put, saying that the Nigerian environment is not good for business (I feel they are only scared of losing out on the goodies they get from me).
Also last year, the family introduced me to a female in the UK, talking about marriage to her. The said lady is a Nigerian within my age range, but born and raised in the UK. Though I have been to the UK severally to see her, I have made no commitments whatsoever as she is not the kind of lady I would marry all things being equal. She and the family have however given me a ultimatum to decide now.
What do you advice? Your first paragraph is not totally correct, you can't use your industry's experience as a general verdict. I work in Tech and I can tell you that German companies are 'stealing' Nigerian Software Engineers on a daily basis. So what type of Masters did you study? Did you do a feasibility study before embarking on the Masters? Can you pivot to another career? Have you checked the careers in demand in Germany? You need to sit down to figure these things out. Btw if your girl and your family are giving you an ultimatum on a lifetime decision then it simply means you're not man enough and you need to stamp your authority before you can think about marriage. |

I tried doing setState in my render method and it gave me errors. Do you have any idea how I can solve this? After looking at your code for some minutes, I think the real problem is in the Search Component (changeInput method and the stuff you are rendering). You might what to rewrite it. I tried doing setState in my render method and it gave me errors. Do you have any idea how I can solve this? Yes...that's where Ajax comes in to do the dirty job. How do you want to fetch the data real time? Thank you A real time weather update sounds like it but I hope to build one for currency/stock price. I have two ideas for fetching data in real time 1. Plugging Ajax into componentDidMount 2. Socket.io I might end up using socket.io |

Bede2u: Yorubas will say that igbos should be more concerned about abia state. Yes we are very concerned about that. But if u look beyond pettiness u will see that lagos is very important to every tribe in nigeria. It is nigerias first major city and it was built with money from all parts of nigeria. Allowing a greedy, tribal mad man like tinubu to decide solely who gets what in Nigeria's New york is very dangerous and counter productive. It was built with money from all parts of Nigeria? This is false, thank God for Google. Lagos didn't come into the Nigerian picture until 1914 when it was made the capital of amalgamated Nigeria. All you need to do is search for trade and commerce in Lagos before 1914, also search why the British had to make Lagos a colony as far as 1861. |
