What happens @ MMA does not relate to what happens at heathrows or DFW. If they preach due process, let them practice it.
Certainly not, but as long as we are worse we have no right to complain.
The deportee was shouting because he knew that life as a free man in Nigeria is much worse than life in jail in the UK. That's a shame.

Only if all Nigerians decide NEVER to fly BA anymore, then they will change. These people look at Nigerians like slaves. I had an experience recently with one of their kind and was disgusted by her ways of reasoning. Nigerians need prayers. We need God to wipe off this bad reputation very soon.
BA was alive before Nigeria was born and it will survive well after a Nigerian boycott. Becareful though, the Brits may hit back by banning direct flights from Nigeria . . . it hurts both ways.

We need God to more urgently restructure our nation before we start complaining of how others percieve us. Our President has to run to Germany every minute he has a cold coming . . . and you expect officials of Lufthansa airlines to take you seriously?

@4him

You know they will, because their British cousins are getting away with it. But if there is some form of documentations, they will not be doing these sh*t. Can you imagine a raggedy l@ss TSA employee talking trash to my cousin at the aiport using all kinds of foul languages. He didn't shut up until i turned on my voice recorder. I was so close to getting that bastard's job from him and give it to somebody else that makes sense. These people fear evidence and informations.
bros, at least you live in a country where the law is the law. Even if Ogun radio was at the MMA, officials and police will still treat you like a common criminal, extort money from you and get away with it. If care is not taken sef you and your voice recorder will spend the next few weeks as a guest at Kirikiri.
Enough of using the laws in developed countries against them, like mamaput said, these airlines already fly at high risk terror threat alerts  . .

@Lady T

Sweetheart, there is nothing wrong in deportation but do it with some kind of dignity and human right. The only reasons why most of these airlines are doing these things are because Africans, especially Nigerians refuse to act. There is power in Economic power. And if Nigerians start flying a lesser abusive airline and document the abuse from British airways by taking photographs of the ills that happened to that deportee and posting it online or sending it to media outlets, most of these abuses will stop. Because they know bad publicity is bad for business, no passenger (Be it Japanese or American) wants to hear or see any bad news about the airline they are flying.
Bros, the Americans are probably silenting taking notes from their British cousins on how to deal with unruly Nigerians. The Japanese are even stricter when it comes to illegal aliens, i doubt if they will bat an eyelid over Nigerian boycotts.

People will still fly BA, you can boycott it from now till Christ comes, as long as you dont have the mental capacity to get your own airline you will still crawl back to beg them at the end of the day or continue flying around the world just to move from London to Lagos.
How many "lesser abusive" airlines are flying direct to Lagos?

if he was tied up in the cargo hold then i'd agree with your accusations of "subhuman conditions".

never tap a police man on the shoulder when he is doing his job. or thinking he is doing his job.
BA as well as us airlines and Israel fly high risk . the atomsphere is tense enough without people adding to it
Excellent point.

@Mamput
It's easier for you to say that in the cozy of your home. People all over the world migrate from one spot to the other for different reasons. Most Nigerians do it because of the harsh economic condition @ home. But regardless of time being up or not, Treat African deportee as you would an American deportee or a Chinese. We are all human and possess certain human dignity. The Deported Nigerian must have had it so bad for him to yell out in pain. These people know it's against their own law to brutalize or torture anybody but they do it because it's "AFRICANS".
No American will disgrace himself living as an illegal alien anywhere in the world.
Until we get our own house in order and stop paying (dis)honorable legislators $1000/day in lunch money then we have no right to ask for "dignity" when we are caught violating the laws of other lands.
RomanceRe: NairaLand Queens by 4Him1(m): 6:07pm On Apr 20, 2008
If she's 16 then she's more than old enough. At that age most American children already hold paying jobs that 35 yr old Nigerians are still looking for.
Maturity has very little to do with age, i've seen teens here who reason far better than 29yr olds.

Sweet T:
IT'S HIGH TIME AFRICANS START SPEAKING UP AND QUIT FEARING THESE OPPRESSORS. WE DID NOTHING TO DESERVE MOST OF THE ABUSE WE GET BOTH AT HER HOME AND ABROAD.
To start with, are they the ones oppressing us at home? If they were so wicked why are we in their country in the first place?
Why dont you get your own airline before you talk of boycotting theirs?
TravelRe: 136 Ba Passengers Removed From Jet Over Deportee Row by 4Him1(m): 6:03pm On Apr 20, 2008
Sweet T, sorry but your's is misplaced patriotism.
On this same thread there were reports of whites being removed from airlines for disturbing the peace, none of them is crying racism and threatening to boycott the airline.
We all know how Nigerians behave, we seem to think aggression, shouting and being unruly are the best ways to solve a problem. Unfortunately i doubt if the pilot is willing to risk his life with unruly passengers at 50000ft in the air.

To start with the deportee was in gross violation of recognised law, to plead on his behalf is more confirmation to the British authorities that we are a people who condone illegality.

ah ah smooching and other extracurricular activities is allowed naaa,who said its not huh huh what im saying here is some guys can b patient till when married to have sex,depending though on how much they love d girl in question
my point too. If you love a girl deeply then you'd be willing to wait till u're properly married to her to initiate sex. You cant deny though that sparks will still fly before then.

that is not normal o. shocked
You're dating a guy and he doesnt want to touch you? Something is seriously wrong with either of you.

Abi o, not all guys are only looking for sex in a relationship undecided
good thing you added that qualifier. All men are looking for sex in every relationship, if the girl doesnt turn you on sexually you wont even be wasting your time with her in the first place. The difference though is that sometimes we want more, companionship shld come first - sex next.

Either you are purposely denying the obvious truth or you passed through the Nigerian society without the society passing through you. I expected to to at least know a little because it's mostly women (young women) that can attest to this your hilarious claim. 90% of Nigerian married men cheat, 1/2 of the remaining 10% do not cheat b/c they can't afford it and not b/c it's morally wrong and your response can only hold water if and only if you hang out with the remaining 5%.
Stop shouting. Before you blame married men for cheating please look inwards. Nigerian women dont believe in making an attempt to look good the minute they are married. Its not easy to see your luscious secretary everyday at work when your own wife has transformed overnight into an overweight, nagging madam.
A good percentage of Nigerian men dont cheat, that you've been unfortunate to be surrounded by serial cheaters is not my fault. I can boldly declare that ALL the men in my family are committed and faithful to their wives, many of them running close to 20-30 yrs now.

Needlelady:
Do you have to be naughty this sunday morning? You've suggested I'm lesbian, I got  emotional issues, no man, broke etc. What else can you suggest? i'm a transexual? I think I occupy your mind always and fulfil your luscious fantasy. It's allowed but in moderation because soaps can be  expensive now.  I think it's time for another trip to the bathroom, hommie, bearing in mind that Funmi is in her bathrobe. Dreamer! undecided undecided
Cut out the jokes pls, you must have a ridiculously low self esteem if you think everyone that replies your posts does so because they fantasize about you. Doing so is a gross waste of time considering there are better looking and more mature women than you everywhere else to pick from.

Hell no. . . not in this Nairaland to find PROVERBS 31 men- - -NO WAY!.
that they are not interested in you does not mean they dont exist. You people yelling "no way they dont exist" are not the type proverbs 31 men would be interested in anyway.
RomanceRe: NairaLand Queens by 4Him1(m): 4:35pm On Apr 20, 2008
Needlelady:
I disagree,  most Nigerian men are not interested in your perspective, they are only interested in how fresh your body is and how they can insert their winnie  in your  slot machine , that's why they waste their years chasing college girls when their dutiful wife is at home putting their lives together. They only think of perspective when thy need a wife(whome they'll eventually abandon sexless at home while chasing honey bunnies in the universities and high schools) pathetic!
I honestly have never met "these nigerian men" you talk about. Those i know are faithful committed men willing to make sacrifices for their wives.
Men will look outside not because they cant get enough sex but because the woman inside is failing in her duty to keep the marriage well oiled.\

Just to reiterate, marriage is more than sex. Very important - if the girl doesnt stimulate you sexually then no point dating her, but you're still willing to wait as long as she wants before you broach the issue of sex.

I think needlelady has serious problems with relationships.
