Pantheism is the believe that ALL things is ONE. The Universe beign ALL that is in EVERYTHING. So in a figurative sense its true.

Nothing...same way things happen in our world is the same way things happen in the other worlds. What makes some on earth get cancer (though they are very good people) while some others(so bad) live long without ailment on earth? The answer is NOTHING.

It means I am an atheists who relies on proof. So far, there is no proof that any god exists so I will treat it as non existent. Mostly for it's sake because if it does exists, then the religious definitions of it are really embarrassing. It should be happy

But of course. I will give it a stab with the proviso that I make no representations to speak for all Pantheists, here are my thoughts;

The celebrated Poet John Donne in his acclaimed poem, No man is an island, wrote :

“ Every man is a part of the continent, a part of the main………..any man’s death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind….”

The Pre-Socratic Greek Philosopher Heraclitus taught:

“moreover we step into the river and out of the river as different beings” and then he went on to say “Gods are mortal, humans immortal, living their death, dying their life.”

These two different views by fabulous doyens of their times sums up for me the Pantheistic world view, one represents the inter-connectivity and inter-dependence of things in a closed system,the "Butterfly effect," if you will. The other view quite simply postulates that everything changes, nature itself is change flowing ever onwards, and even the nature of the flow changes. These for me represent the twin-fold basic principles of Pantheism.

It is not the case that Pantheists deify the physical structures of the cosmos i.e, the Galaxies, planets and their satellites, No. Think of the Pantheist concept of Divinity more as a moving spirit or awareness that permeates the universe, is sentient, and represents the sum total of all that has been before, all that is, and all that will be. Always seeking nothing but the highest good of its integral parts. Not unlike the Christian God, but without subjective personality or to borrow your phrase without the anthropomorphism and without the earth-bound limitations of a religious deity. And then imagine that absolutely anyone can form a part of this awareness.

How did you come to the conclusion there is a god and what are it's attributes?

I don't think there is any such thing as Agnostic Deist . But let's assume there's one , it should mean not certain that God is an interventionist and that it can't be known if God does intervene .

By God's grace , I'm still building up myself though but I don't think the arguments with the atheists are for me . So what I'll do very soon is , think of a random topic that can make them apoplectic , buttress it with facts and let it fulminate .

Also, how did you come to the conclusion that a God exists? And how would you describe it's features? Is it male or female? Black or white? Veggie or McDonald's?

Hmmm. I just gave you a general definition. I am guessing you expect a personal one.

Well, I didn't grow up a theist in the first place. I grew up with the knowledge that all religions and their gods are man made and so far there has been no evidence for "God", at least as described by religion. If it exists, it is either incompetent, not interested in humans as we like to think or really doesn't give a fvck.

I am not a scientist either so do not bring in evolution

Last year, I think, somewhere in Ondo state about 10 people reportedly died "mysteriously" (I cannot remember the exact figure but the news was posted here on nairaland) and everyone in the village rushed into their houses to get water and then proceeded to their village shrine to pour water on their goddess. Apparently, they believed "god did it".

Luckily for them, some guys went there and investigated and discovered they all died from local gin(ogogoro). And thus "the gap was filled".

There are several instances like this throughout history that go as far back as when people, even in Europe, thought small pox was of the devil or a punishment from god.

I've been thinking of doing same . I read comments from people who share the same personality and analyzed the life of the luminaries who share the same personality with me and I discovered I'm not leveraging my potential at all .

Imagine having arguments with atheists who have annoyingly high levels of hebetude . I need to engage in arguments that can make me think

The concept of god was created when people didn't know much about the earth. The word "god" is used mainly to fill in gaps of knowledge, most times when we are ignorant about the subject in question. How did this get here, "god did it". It is an ignorant assumption

So this means that a pantheist is a person who accepts the reality of the supernatural existence, and order of the universe (because, connectivity means complementarity, hence order,) but is too proud to admit to God's Lordship.
