According to a blog post by Adobe, after the 11.2 release, Flash Player for Linux will only be available through a new "Pepper" API as a part of Google Chrome, and won't be available as a separate download anymore. However, Adobe will continue to offer security updates for Flash Player 11.2 for Linux for five years.

Google will provide the "Pepper" Flash Player implementation for all supported Chrome platforms, including Linux (x86/64).

As for Firefox, its Wiki states that "Mozilla is not interested in or working on Pepper at this time". But even if Mozilla changes its mind, the post on Adobe's website says that Flash will be bundled with Google Chrome only, so unless Mozilla and Adobe become partners, they probably can't use it.

USE GOOGLE CHROME BUILT-IN FLASH IN FIREFOX

1. Download and install Google Chrome

2. Open a terminal and copy / paste the following commands:

mkdir -p ~/.mozilla/plugins
ln -s /opt/google/chrome/libgcflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla/plugins/

3. Restart Firefox.


The exact same instructions above also work for Chromium (yes, using the ~/.mozilla/plugins/ folder even though it's for Chromium).

meanwhile point of correction. OEMs like techno do not produce android phones. not in the true sense.

they produce cheap knockoffs with no support runnning seriously outdated software.
they violate the GPL in every way imaginable and actually include the android market on their os builds illegally.

if u are its odexed. that means each time u install an application a little file with a .odex extension is created in /system/app

at times when u then uninstall any app the .odex does not get removed. and it stops you from reinstalling that app or some other stating yoi are out of space.

unfortunately the solutions i can give u requires u to be rooted

easiest way is google and install lucky patcher.

anytime u open it and it scans the fone it detects the orphaned apps and asks if u want to delete. delete and issue solved.

second way is install a file manager with root access.

go to /system/app look through the list of apps there u r likely to notice the orphaned .odex there. they wont have a corresponding apk. delete them.

there is an app on your phone trying to read and sync contacts. usually u shld just let the fone be for a while where there is network so it can read and sync.

usual culprits is whatsapp and facebook

when u get that force close message what u shld do is go to setting/applications/ all applications tab

tap and clear cache of google contacts sync and google services framework.

then force stop whatsapp and facebook.

open whatsapp and drop the fone without touching for a few mins say 30. hopefully it would sync d contacts and stop force closing.


there is no other solution except u reflash the phone.......... and even wen u flash after installing apps it may return.


meanwhile if u had googled that error u would have seen this.

As for this BBM story, i feel sad. I don't have any degree in marketing or sales or tech but this was on the wall for Blackberry long ago.
when i made arguments for it, it turned into a debate here on NL. sad that it has come to this.

It means the following:

1. They have finally realised sales on hardware is NOT going to be at the levels they hoped for
They did not need a genius to predict this, nor did they need to waste all the time, energy and money. and they TRIED. even paying devs for porting apps!!!!


2. They are trying to re-position the company into a software services provider instead of a closed hardware/software company.
They should have done this ages ago. the boat has since sailed.
The idea that BBM and their Email service was exclusive and restricted was at best an exercise in massaging their bloated ego.
clearly they could not come to grips with the thought that they were no longer king of the hill quickly enough.

Opening up BBM now is late. Whatsapp has over a billion users, definite majority on devices other then blackberries . every single of those users would easily give their right arm to have BBM on those devices at the time they were going to install whatsapp.

even worse, whatsapp has left their service free (0.99c a year if u going to pay. i have not paid a dime for 2 yrs now)
BBM would have been monetised and gotten paid users easily.

i doubt they can successfully sell BBM on Android now. maybe ads, but even that sef na wash. i wont ever see a single Ad on my phone!!

then check the rom wey u download if its intact.

if it is, copy it into the memory card.

u shld probably verify if that ur memory card is not the type that corrupts stuff. i.e. chinko.
if possible borrow original from ya close paddy

then
go to the xda section for that device.

look for two things.

1. the stock kernel

2. a custom kernel.

now flash the custom kernel. switch off and boot into the custom recovery without allowing the stock rom to boot.

now wipe all and try to flash the rom

if any yawa appun. say ya lords prayer and flash back to stock.

if its none of the above, help cometh from above. wait upon the lord. redemption cometh in due time if the lord tarries

BTW are u not supposed to root and flash a custom kernel before trying to flash a ROM?

maybe its different on that Tab, i dont own it, so i really would'nt know. but the little samsung i know sha, na d way be that.

Google sells nexus 4 here for N 48,000 or $309USD, can usually pick up used Nexus S for $100-200

What are your data plans for them like as well? Do you get unlimited data? 3G/LTE speed?
