this is why the number one improvement needed on this planet now for technology is battery tech. where is the self charging battery that cannot run out of juice? where is the battery that lasts a week of intense use in a phone or tablet? ***Tinfoil hat time**** i know this CIA/Mossad pple are sitting on tech like this so that the energy market wont crash. how come with all the incredible advancements in tech daily, there has not been any breakthrough in batteries? the same tech that has managed to produce things like google glass? ![]() ***#ok rant over |

^^^no he did not. @dayokanu i suppose all those naturalized austrians, eastern europeans, black africans are your 'germans'? abi just how many of those your so-called germans in bayern and bvb are really germans? clearly in your trolling blurs u forget basic rules of reasoning. abeg go away from this thread with your rubbish yarns |
joanana: Its not funny o. thats exactly what happen to my samsung galaxy s2eeyah. sorry. @ fixylani no vex o. na so me dey play my own. it was just the tone that was amusing. thats why i asked which rom he was running. infact sef, ROM and KERNEL so now no light, no vibration etc? |
fixzylani: I was charging my Samsung Note 1 and NEPA took the light. But I noticed it was still charging even after I removed the charger. So I removed the battery to restart and it has refused to turn on EVER since. Someone pls help me. ![]() which rom are u running? |
Not sure if trolling. ![]() WHICH VERSION OF UBUNTU ARE YOU TRYING TO INSTALL? HOW ARE YOU ATTEMPTING THE INSTALL? FROM A CD/DVD OR FROM A THUMB DRIVE? paulabdeel: please pardon me if am doing this incorrectly, first time. I have a general problem with my laptop. I cannot instal Ubuntu or any of its derivatives. It is an HP Pavilion dm4 64 Bit. Small distros instal. What do u mean by small distro? does windows work correctly on this laptop? which other OS(es) work on this? paulabdeel: Recently I was able to instal the Super X OS, by chance. Usually soon after I I click on the boot up installation screen, it goes blank and dark . There was power outage and I had to use d flashlight of my phone. The installation splash screen was showing faintly. Still using the flashlight I tried to instal it, no way. I decided to click on TRY . It came up immediately. I didn't have this problem with the earlier Compaq laptop. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I would love to dual-boot the system. Thanks.ordinarily i would say the laptop has a hardware defect, notably the flex connecting the screen to the motherboard. this issue is common with some HP models. BUT if you say other OS work fine on it, then that’s even more weird. you would have to list those OS. cant fathom why full fledged linux OS don't have driver to display the VGA whilst "small" OS does. The power outage/flashlight part ...... what is that? what does power outage have to do with this?when you click on try, u said it comes up. so why not try to install when the desktop boots up fully, u do know that the option to install is right there on desktop when u boot a live session? like i said earlier: Not sure if trolling. ![]() |
femi9naija: Thanx a lot my nicca. Custom ROM is d way. Pls recommend 1 based on JB. Phone is LG nitro HD.Please refrain from asking people this type of question unless u know that person uses exactly the same hardware as you. you don’t expect people to recommend what they don’t/never used. flashing custom roms may seem trivial, but there is no surer way of damaging your device. that said kindly direct your attention here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1448 you will find all that you need there. one word of advice though: READ THOROUGHLY AND CAREFULLY ANY THREAD THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AND ALL THE STICKY THREADS. ONCE AGAIN READ AND UNDERSTAND never take anything for granted. personally when i get a device i spend close to a week reading up threads on it on XDA so i can understand fully what that device will entail for me challenge wise |
^^^ how? i actually watched that video through waiting for the "thing" you just discovered ![]() u have just been watching streaming movies and football? |
If the problem/ desire is to run windows apps on linux. firstly know for a fact that you are not likely to get it running/looking properly like it does on windows. that said, the options available are. 1. Virtualization. install a Virtual Machine like VirtualBox. its free. it works fine. visit www.virtualbox.org and follow the instructions to install on a linux pc once installed, also install the Guest Addons and create a VM. with this you can get a CD or .iso file of a windowOS, preferably Windows XP or Windows 7 (for performance reasons) with this installed in a VM, you can go ahead to literally use windows-in-a-linux PC. thus guaranteeing that the apps 'work' well. 2. using tools like W.I.N.E. first step to using this is to visit www.winehq.org get the instructions to add the PPA for your linux distro eg ubuntu. add it too your system and then update. now to make the use of WINE easy for you, there are projects designed to automate the setup of WINE for various apps, so u dont have to worry about hacking your way. one is PLAYONLINUX. visit www.playonlinux.com download the latest app and install. run it and allow it to get all its updates. this tool has a listing of various windows applications and the WINE configurations needed. all you need to do is supply the .exe or cd of the app you want to install and use the playonlinux tool to configure it. the app will download the necessary versions and configurations needed for that particular app to work, then install the .exe with the proper settings. That way it helps to take away the pain of configuring your application. where the particular app is not listed there, you may still attempt to install manually via a rightclick and open with WINE but note that some apps may not work as expected. or at all there are also other tools, feel free to explore with google. But frankly i'd be honest with you, except its a matter of life and death, any app that is not native to linux is not worth the hassle to get to work. and except you have some pretty special needs, most popular apps have their linux equivalents. its better to spend time to learn them than all this WINE hassle |
swintiney: There is an application in Ubuntu called "WINEHQ" (WINDows EMulator). This program will enable you run a lot of windows programs in linux distros especially the Ubuntu. You can download and install with "apt-get install wine".MISINFORMATION!. 1. WINE is actually called "Wine Is Not An Emulator" (W.I.N.E.) it is NOT a windows emulator. It does not emulate windows. it does not have runtime libraries and a separate kernel/userspace by default 2. It will NOT enable you to run a "LOT" of windows programs in linux. it enables you run a few/some with varying degrees of success. you also have to deal with UI and performance issues, and most of the time need to hack some stuff to get decent results 3. merely running apt-get will ensure you get outdated wine packages, and lord knows how many issues with the wine install. there is a Wine PPA maintained by the Wine Devs that contain up to date packages and hacks |
this peepus are truly chickens is there nothing u guys can do right ni? WTF!!! Just to hang on in the Europa cup till semifinal or even final sef, come lose gallantly as usual, una no fit. mcheew |

ok. so they want to be gay. fine they want to get married. fine but can someone explain to me why two MEN who decided to follow THAT path want to have children? why? they want to raise a surrogate child in a gay home where he/she wakes up daily to see daddy and daddy kissing? maybe even walk in on them having sex? I wonder what the odds are on that child also being gay. this is the part that really sickens me about this thing. u want to screw men? have fun. kids are for heterosexual humans. all the arguments for the 'natural' expression of homosexuality fall flat at this junction. sex is for procreation. if truly nature intended men to be gay, it would give those ones uterus and boobs. but then I digress. as far as I am concerned if u want a child u better make that child the natural way before returning to your gay ways. society should by no means accept this part of gays. nonsense |
I didnt comment on that cuz i felt by now leopantro ought to know better about THAT kinda complaint ![]() |
isquar3d3: 4llerbuntu pls do u know if HTC c has a problem wt WiFi? tried to use swift 4g wit d phone yesterday but didn't browse. it connected wt d WiFi tho. I use an mtn sim.first thing is it has nothing to do with the sim/network hmmn, do you own the swift 4G router? if you do, i suggest you change the security modes on it to test. i know some phones have issues with certain security protocols. change the wifi security to none (open), test to see if it connects and works. then try WEP, then WPA. after trying the modes you will know which option u will settle for to use the router. if it does not work on any mode, but the Swift router is working fine, then there must be some other factor. meanwhile i recommend you install an app called wifi manager from the playstore. it gives you better information about wifi networks so you can deduce better what the issue is |
newborn99: I am not swApping with you, I want to buy the phone. Can you sell your curve2 for 20k? newman10: Android family, I greet you all. My samsung galaxy grand does not have the option of 3G only in its Internet settings. I've used the code *#*#4 bla bla bla and installed this app "3G only" from playstore, still none has worked. I've gone to xda forum and posted the problem there, search Google. Anyone have any idea what I can do again? Btw it's on JB ![]() first world problems. when u enter the service menu, u did not see a small box that has a drop down menu? that menu has all the bands/network modes the phone is capable of. one of them is WCDMA ONLY OR HSDPA ONLY or UMTS OONLY thats the 3G only option. select that other than the fact that i haven’t checked a Galaxy Grand setting page personally, i know samsung uses the exact same menu on all its phones and right under the mobile networks settings, the network mode has GSM/WCDMA (AUTO MODE), GSM ONLY, WCDMA ONLY. wcdma only/umts only/hsdpa only is the 3G option. if neither of these 2 options work, pls leave the phone be and use it like that |
texazzpete: Anandtech just gave the HTC One their first ever Gold Editor's choice award for a smartphoneyeah. too bad the company is too dense to be a business http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/08/htc-financials-q1-2013/ Instead of reaping the rewards of putting out a lovely new flagship, HTC has just reported its lowest ever profit -- a mere $2.8 million in unaudited net income -- during the first three months of this year.so how will samsung not sell 95% of the market? the S4 will meet this HTC One at the market despite the months of a head start. |

After answering 'yes', it downloaded some files over wifi, and restarted the phone.the phone is bricked. and ics for note is bad. comes with brickbug you need to flash with odin on a pc. flash either gingerbread or jellybean stock rom |
Leopantro: Could anyone explain to me why there is a keylogger folder in the system folder of every android phone and why it's always empty but when you copy the folder out and open it on a system you see a text file in it?that file is the file the so-called spy apps copy out and mail to you from fones. actually them logs should auto-delete every 6 hrs or less sef. but wait, y be say ya curiosity dey carry u go all dese kain tinz? hmmn...... take time o ![]() |
Mueeze: Thank you. I have done all that is stated above. Other plugins from the repo are actually working fine. I think the problem is the super sport plugin itself. For my guy: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBMCbuntu_FAQ best bet for a Pc. installing XBMC on a windows pc is usually a painful affair along the line someday For the folks who keep wondering whats up with the plugins. the version 2.1.1 supersport plugin does not work anymore. the version 2.1.2 one still does. what you need to do is: BE VERY SURE YOUR INTERNET IS AT THAT POINT ACTIVE AND WORKING FINE 1. go to settings/addons..... install from a zip file. choose the zip file through the file browser on the right and it will install. 2. best bet is to exit the xbmc application. 3. restart it and wait 30 secs, you should get a small notification that some supersport service bla bla has started if you don’t get, it MAY not be active. (most of the time it is an issue with the internet) 4. go to the video addons tab, open it. select the supersport plugin. 5 you will see two sections, live streaming and highlights. Live Streaming has streams that are shown on the normal supersport web package. i.e NOT EVERY AND ANY MATCH. Its a select few. it also has lots of cricket and other sport IF they have streams for it. meaning that you should probably only check when you are sure there is some live sport that you want to watch on. Highlights to the best of my knowledge hardly ever works. i guess its the few ones they host on their web page that will show up there. IT IS NOT TRUE THAT YOU GET TO WATCH REGULAR SUPERSPORT PROGRAMMING WITH THAT PLUGIN LIKE SOME LIARS HERE CLAIM. unless of course that they have another secret plugin for sports, there are other options. the "sportsdevil" section in the Maxmunstermann addon. has about 6 different streaming sites in it. u get to watch a lot there. its a matter of choosing active links. just keep trying till u get a working one. (they have dead links too) some Aljazeera show up in the Arabic channels addon. The Veetle addon also has streams from pple streaming via veetle. etc etc etc addons are available at wiki.xbmchub.com JUST ALWAYS UPDATE WHEN YOU GET UPDATE PROMPTS WHEN YOU ENTER THE VIDEO ADDONS SECTION |

my Mtn bis just died on me again. that's the second time in march. first time I had to call customer care and give one super story like that for them to deactivate the BIS. I don't understand why they won't allow one to deactivate BIS. not even sure of what the data limit is. unfortunately the bis period expires 28 April. if u have a **solution** to share with me, pls do contact me as per usual. |
