First of all @mimilyrics was correct and I didnt see where she said that she couldn't get dependant visas for her kids; I can see where she said that only her husband and kids apply as dependants. She gave the lady options which she is entitled to take or not take. You are arguing off point Can her mother in law be granted a visit visa? YES. Let's assume she applied for a 10 year visa and was granted, she spends 6 months and then leaves back to nigeria to travel back to the United Kingdom let's say, 1 month later, by the time she does this twice it would mean she has spent more than one year in the united kingdom than Nigeria which should be her primary country of residence. You said if she explains the situation than they would understand but as far as the UKVI is concerned, the woman would be considered to have lied on her visa application, she is meant to visa and not be a resident. And for your information, the mother-in-law looking after the kids in the United Kingdom will be considered work even though she may not be paid in cash but payment in kind is also considered payment by the UKVI. The UKVI asks for maintenance funds for a reason, they would expect you to pay for child maintance by yourself should you need one in the United Kingdom. You can't say that you have maintenance funds but need your mother-in-law to help with the kids. The funds are there to help wih the kids. Secondly, by the third visit (after staying 6 months on each trip) mother-in-law's visa would be cancelled in situations like stated above, the United Kingdom is not Nigeria where we run things based on sentiments. its a shame that many of us just jump into shit stories, i am not a member of Christ Embassy, but as someone who is currently going through a divorce i know for a fact that this is not true, after reading the story many many things did not make sense https://www.gov.uk/divorce/overview that is a link to the uk government website on steps to be taken for divorce, you would notice the article made mention of Pastor Chris running away giving the impression he did not want to sign the divorce papers, in the uk 2 parties are required by law to sign the papers before it can proceed, if the woman waits for 5 years after they have been separated then she does not need the man to sign any papers, so then you wonder what papers the lawyers were serving the Pastor in his hotel room, thirdly if the divorce was about adultly then the third party must also be served and appear in court before a decree nissi is given, all this did not happen so you then have to ask how did she get her nissi, we are all smart people, you can read the link i sent you or google stuffs yourself |

Funny enough there is nothing wrong in having a buka kind of kitchen, it's an idea I have myself, because its a buka style does not mean it has to be dirty or that you employ foul mouth ladies, it can be a buka style with taste, all them big time restaurant are big men's buka, having said that a mobile food shop will also go places as well, target a few areas and see how well it goes have breakfast lunch and dinner and your good to go once you can make a success out of that you can franchise it as well |
It's amazing how backward how medical care still is, how do you have a doctor who believes in juju, then leave the medical profession and go and join babalawo, many people have died in Nigeria for stuffs that they should not have died from, my wife when she was in Nigeria felt tied and went to the hospital at first she was given drips they collected 25k and a week later asked her to come for blood I refused since she was joining me in the uk in a few days when she got to the uk she went for test and there was nothing wrong with her, nothing at all, I know this is strange but when you feel sick google whatever you think is wrong with you, so that your doc just does not pump you full of drips |
It shows how low we have fallen in Nigeria when people start to hail a well writen speech as a sign for being a good president, apart from the fact that it was well written that is all to say to it, it's a well written speech that is full of lies, in a country of 160 million providing jobs for 250,000 people is big massive failure and yet he did not provide even 100,0000 jobs, he talks about reforming health care pls ask him what hospital his wife is in at the present, he talked about fighting Corruption and yet till date not a single report has been implanted, his speech at the un sums him up, a bloodly liar that nobody is wiling to listen to |
its amazing how people are so quick to think arsenal will go down, chelsea lost thier highest goal scores for the last 7 seasons and replaced him with a guy who thinks not scoring goals is the work of a striker, spurs sold their heart and engine room with no replacement in sight and no striker, and you all feel arsenal is the club in trouble, we have got two proven strikers, a world class mid field player and about to get another great DM player and you think we are going to get relegated, guess to many people play champions league manager |

It's amazing what some people are saying here, the uk is vey windy now so far 3 people have died it is as cold as hell and people who could sit in the comfort of there house and watch you over the Internet came out so that the international community will be aware, so as to let them know that nigerians outside the country dint support them, the Nigerian government can lie to the world about what is going on, but the more people from outside the country protest the more the international community will get involved, next thing you would know is activist from other countries will join and try to get there government involved if not for anything at least to make sure they don't use the police and army to kill us, because of the uk protest CNN is doing a report on the stealing of our oil money, pls instead of beefing pls support |

paddy_lo:You are so stupid, so public transport which accounts for the remaining 95% runs on water abi, the farmer who has to transport his goods to the city to sell also rents a bus which runs on water abi, or the generator people use instead of steady power light from the government also runs on water, or maybe the common man who earns 30,000 a month and uses 15,000 to transport himself by public transport also uses the one powered by water The fact that you have a good job and have plenty money in your savings you think it would not effect you, i don't want to curse because its a new year, but when you loose your job and then find out that your house rent has doubled and you cant afford to take care of your family maybe just maybe then you would know what we trying to talk about |
@BEAF i know you are a pdp sponsored idiot so i only take what you say with a pinch of salt, but remember that the same people who are funding you will one day stop and at that point in time it would be too late for you |

@PointB and am sure when ghana removed subsidy they did not have light, and am sure they were 150 million people living there, am also sure that there leaders where the highest paid in the world, and am sure also that there banks where no lending as well, oh i remember they also had boko whatever placing bombs and they had high leave of insecurity as well, let me guess they had bad roads and most of all they had leaders who said they would do one thing and never do it, if not then never compare us to them, the government laid the ground work for the fuel removal, if i dont have to buy fuel to run my generator everyday i wont mind, if i dont have to buy fuel in my car but can take easy good public transport i wont mind, if we have train services i wont mind but we dont which means the not only will the fuel price increase, food price will increase and so will transportation and accommodation, and yet they refuse to pay the minimum wage and so what point in time do we panic |
@Dayo you are a disgrace to the yoruba race, what has fighting for a country to do with tribe |
@AfAM what part of that is really funny, really what part of it is funny, the fact that loads of kids wont be able to afford an education, or the fact that more people will result to crime or is it the fact that life is going to get harder for loads of people, really what part of it is funny, if you have nothing better to say SHUT THE Bleep UP |
December 14, 2011 Press Release The 2012 Budget: A Disaster Waiting To Happen! A critical perusal of the year 2012 budget proposal submitted to the National Assembly by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday showed clearly that the present government has no intention to lead the country out of the present socio- economic crisis. The budget, which was tagged: Budget of Fiscal Consolidation, Inclusive Growth and Job Creation, is actually an anti-peoples budget designed purely in the service of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) and their local lackeys who dictate to the Nigerian government. It is a disaster waiting to happen. In particular, the exclusion of fuel subsidy in the budget is not only tragic, but a declaration of war on the Nigerian people. Thus, the Nigerian people will have no choice but to confront this challenge. This further attempt to impoverish workers and the Nigerian poor, is coming at the heels of increased tariff on electricity, the move to massively sack workers in the name of merging parastatals, the attempt to collect more taxes through the return of toll gates, the refusal to adequately fund education, and refusal to pay minimum wage, which is an impeachable offence. Despite the country’s security challenges, it is curious that the Jonathan government has allocated a massive lion share of the budget to security. In the first instance, the major cause of the increasing wave of insecurity in Nigeria is lack of education and mass unemployment, which are direct consequences of the general collapse of public infrastructure such as public electricity, roads, education, health etc. The security challenges are further compounded by lack of political will and abysmal ineptitude of security agencies. No one should underestimate the general mass poverty, unemployment and discontent that has increased bottled up anger in our polity. The removal of fuel subsidy will provide the spark for mass protests such that even the increased security vote cannot buy enough arms to contain. Since the government of Jonathan has elected to punish the Nigerian people through a budget that is poverty inducing and will cause a lot of hardship, the Nigerian people will have no alternative but to resist. We call on all Nigerian workers and people to begin preparations for a general strike and mass protests. The people must be prepared in the next few weeks when the Jonathan administration begins to implement his anti-Nigerian policy. Nigerians should prepare to occupy the streets and public institutions to prevent them from being taken over by anti-patriotic forces. The NLC leadership will be meeting on Tuesday December 20, 2011, to firm up strategies and give directive on the commencement of this protest and the resolve of workers and the Nigerian people to reclaim their country back. We call on the National Assembly to side with the electorate and the Nigerian people by refusing to pass this budget. We also ask the Jonathan administration to seriously have a rethink by reviewing his budget proposal, or be ready to take on the Nigerian people. Owei Lakemfa Ag. General Secretary |
Having read the response here i can say that nigeria really has no hope, the politicians read your comments and are happy, if educated people like you are so silly as to take a matter like this and turn it into a tribal fight, how easy will it be to fool the uneducated, we talking about something that would effect everybody and all you guys can talk about is WHICH TRIBE WILL LEAD, YOU GUYS MAKE ME SICK, what happens to us being a nation |
@BEAF well what you have said is true the buttom line is that we have a government who does not want to reduce its spending but are asking us the masses to suffer so that they can get richer, the uk does not have a centre government like we do and so do not need to look to the center, we on the other hand cant do anything till abuja gives a go ahead we do need to revolt and i have a feeling the next time it happens it wont be funny |
WELL I DONT BLAME PEOPLE WHO ARE SAYING IT IS WRONG IF THEY DID IT FOR JESUS WHEN HE WENT OVER TO VISIT MATTHEW WHEN HE WAS A TAX COLLECTOR HOW MUCH MORE WILL THEY DO TO PASTOR CHRIS |
@IykeD are you talking about the same pastors who said he was from the devil and ask the body of Christians not to talk to him |
Nigerians you guys are something else, your very good at having double standards, the same OBJ when he went to see pastor Adeboye nobody said anything about Pastor Adeboye being a bad pastor but when its Pastor Chris its something else, those of you talking about not being unequally yoked with unbelievers, one quick questions are all your friends and family believers, you guys are just plain stupid, i dont attend christ embassy but am sensible enough to know that you guys are just plain player haters |
