If your Ecom biz is being operated with Pay on Delivery mode and you run conversation ads, you better optimise for lead Conversion instead of purchase Conversion

Your order form is only collecting leads and not purchase

The real purchase is when you use the card payment option on your sales page

This is the more reason you should start building your list by collecting leads with Optin form on your presell page and you follow them up with email Marketing.

This will save you a lot from FB hammer and at the same time you are building your own audience outside Facebook. A digital Asset to build your business on your land.

I got a call this morning from my client.
Uche please can we restart the campaign.

But it's going to cost more than it was, I agreed and we fixed the price at 18k

What am I talking about?
I'm talking about a product I marketed on Facebook for my client using Facebook ad.

I met the client on Nairaland we got talking, the negotiations wasn't smooth because he doesn't have the amount I asked for.

But I decide to settle for less because of my inexperience and being my first e-commerce ad.

I have to improvised by using Mailchimp free landing page tool to create a landing page, form page and thank you page for the product.

I create some custom conversion events and set up the ad.

I told my client to send me video demonstration of the product which he did three and sent them to me.

But before then I tested the product organically by posting on my Facebook and WhatsApp story.

Two sales came in, my friend who brother it confirmed it works.
My confidence skyrocketed and I went on a beast mode.

The daily budget was 500 naira only
The event tracking was landing page views.
The optimization window was "one day view and one day clicks".

I first ran a video view campaign for three days for one dollar daily budget which was 360 naira then.

After three days I created a custom audience of 95% video view and lookalike audience out of it.

I targeted the 1% lookalike audience and engaged shoppers together.
Orders start falling in at an average of 5 in a day.

Covid 19 struck and lockdown was enforced nationwide.
We had to stop but before we did it has generated 112 orders.

The price of the product was 13k
And wholesale price of 47k

The orders were 108 for 13k
4 for 47k

50% of it was delivered and paid for by customers.

Many more dropped their phone numbers on the comment section and page inbox.

If I have to put them into consideration then the leads were on average of 10 per day.

Here is the keynote of this case study.

1: The offer was good
2: The product is a unique product
3: The video demonstration was the masterstroke.

Did I do anything extraordinary?

No, the ad set up wasn't the best but the offer was too good.

The screenshots below are proofs and the videos are that of the product.

Here is another offer.

We are restarting the ad by tomorrow but if you need the product we can still sell it to you at 13k per piece before it increased to 18k once I restart the ad it will be only be sold at 18k per piece.

I thought email marketing works majorly for people selling ebooks and courses online, i hardly see people selling physical products online asking for people's email on their order form.
Then also mosy people hardly check their email and most dont pay attention to whatever you are marketing to them.
So i don't think this will work bro

Everything you sell online even if it's spiritual materials email marketing still work.

1: Email can be use to track goods especially the ones coming from foreign countries.
2: Email can be use to retarget the abandoned cart customers with some incentives.
3: Email can be use to announce a new inventory.
4: Email can be use to create a custom audience.

I don't know who you are viewing their landing pages and stores but majority ask for email address.

Alright.
If the option of lead conversion is used and they submit their emails, as a marketer must i send them emails or what?
Then secondly, can i retarget using the emails i received to boost conversion.
Alternatively i will appreciate if you can talk on lead conversion, its advantages and uses.
Thank you.

Hello does CTA (Cost To Action) marketing works in advertising your own trading sites ?

You can send them emails because they have become your leads.

If you are in e-commerce business if you get the lead you call them to confirm their order and close the same that is when it becomes a sale which means that the sale occurs offline.

You can use the email to create a custom audience for retargeting.

The recommended audience size is minimum 100k.

10k is too small.

What are you wanting to achieve with your page like Campaign.

If it has been like that for hours it's probably your budget is too low.
