You don't need TB tests for visiting visas. TB tests are required for visas that permit you to be in the UK beyond 6 months. Terminalbond: 1 Like |

For someone applying for tier 2 visa (general) and has dependents who will have them join him later. In the Online visa application form, when filling the information on dependents, can he answer "NO" to the question on whether the dependents are travelling with him. If he answers "No" now, hope it won't affect them when they eventually want to apply for their dependent visas? Note: All other dependent information such as name, relationship, date of birth have been filled. |

dubaiprince: The answer is NO because you are not going at the same time. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 2:55pm On Jul 02, 2020 |
You can do it yourself. Ensure that you input all the information requested, your financial info must clearly show adequate funding and income sources, and information filled should show strong ties to Nig. Some agents fill in false info which most often than not, lead to 10-year bans. See link below for more visit visa info https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-visa/documents-you-must-provide Pjsax1: |

Hi Guru in the house Please your advice the details of my case is below: I was born in UK in 1980 when my parent come to study Two years after my birth they took me back to Nigeria without UK passport and my parent did not allow me have access to my birth cert anyway story short. After 33 years my parent decided to give me my birth certificate which I used in applying for British passport which was granted in Nigeria by then I already had 2 kids in Nigeria. Now i'm in uk and I want to bring my wife and kids to uk, My question now is can I apply for British passport for my 2 kids because they are born before I got my British passport. please I will really appreciate advice and response. Thanks |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 9:41am On Jul 03, 2020 |
Yes, you can. It makes no difference when they were born as long as they're under 18 when you apply for them (This is because you qualified for citizenship at birth even though you didn't apply immediate). You'd need to earn a minimum of £18,600 to sponsor your wife's visa as your spouse. Apply for your children's British passports before your wife's application as your spouse. OLUPROMISE: 1 Like |

OLUPROMISE: This link will help you understand how to go about your kids British passport https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/461318/children_born_outside_the_uk_sept_2015.pdf but for your wife you need to apply for spouse visa(its costly but you got no other choice) If you are working right now and earning £18,600 gross then that is a good start, the rest of the cost comes from application fee, NHS surcharge, TB test and English language test but if your wife has a degree then its quicker to get that degree evaluated through UK Naric, it will cost you about £160. Above all you need to get a DNA test done for those kids so as to clear up any doubt that they are your kids. 2 Likes |

Good Day NL's, Please can someone apply for UK 2 years standard visitor VISA after been issued 6 months earlier but unable to travel due to COVID-19 |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 12:24pm On Jul 04, 2020 |
Only those with expired 30-days vignette will be able to apply for new vignettes to enable them travel. Nothing has been said about replacing non-immigrant visas which weren't used as a result of Covid-19. kcfastshooter: 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 12:27pm On Jul 04, 2020 |
Always better to apply for 2 years after previously travelling to the UK on the 6 month visa. This allows you to show history of travelling to and returning from the UK before you apply for the longer duration visas except you have a valid reason to travel frequently to the UK (i.e. visiting your child who schools in the UK) opomulero: |

Has anyone who was awaiting a decision from UKVI before the lockdown received a reply on their application? I’m just wondering if they are attending to people who have already done biometrics. |

I didn't say they don't. I said it was better (because I don't know the OPs personal circumstances) except the OP has a reason to be in the UK frequently. LoyalRoyalty: |

I guess I am in the same "situation" as you... I did my biometrics March 3rd (Tier 2) and up till now, I am expecting them to return my passport. Meanwhile, UKVI confirmed to me that a decision has been made since March.. I don't know why TLS is yet to return passport despite opening for passport return last week. johnez1987: 1 Like |

moskito36:I had my biometrics on March 19. A decision was not reached before the lockdown. Did you get an email from UKVI that your passport is ready for collection? How did UKVI confirm the decision to you? |
