MISSCONGENIALITY:like cococandy already said, those women are few. Even The so-called slayqueens, usually find one business to put their hand in, they are either selling clothes, wigs, make-up or something and these are supposed to be the laziest of the lot. In my life, I only know of three women that fit into theis description you've painted. Just three out of tens of women I have met, so, these people you speak of, are few. The majority of women want to work and earn their own money, if not on offices, then own businesses. 4 Likes 1 Share |

If he doesn't best t ur mom, encourage her to stay since he's not always at home. What t u mom need to do is get busy if she's not. Forget about divorce cos it's not necessary. She will be fine. You guys are not kids nah. Some of you should get busy if you aren't. She should look away from the man and his new wife and not even try to interfere. By the time she starts taking good care of herself and looking good, the other wife will be disappointed. If she has been sad, let her out a smile on her face. Life doesn't start and end with her husband. Let her look around she will see women who lost their husbands when their oldest kids were in primary school and some didn't remarry and are still pushing it and some picked up the pieces of their lives and moved on. She can move on as wel without living the house or divorcing. What if her husband had died, would she stop living. She supposed to have been a hardened woman by now. 1 Like |

safarigirl:it's okay. But don't you ever say slay queens are the laziest set of people. No lazy person can slay. My great grandma use to say "nyanga na work" meaning you can't slay on and empty stomach. Anyways, we ar all saying the same thing. No woman should take up staying at home and looking after kids as a full-time job. No woman should stay without having a source of income. Not just because of divorce but incase something happens to your husband and he's not able to do somethings. 2 Likes |

safarigirl: A will doesn’t need to be fair. The woman can be excluded even the children can be excluded I’ve seen cases even in the US where the individuals willed their entire weath to charities and animals and excluding their immediate family You better stop deceiving yourself. A whole dumo lulu Briggs a billionaire hasn’t been able to fight his step mother that manipulated his dad into willing everything to her. Nigerian women better wake up and start making money for themselves Incase things go south for their own good |

Plead: Im not sure why im tagged in your comment; I told the OP not to let his/her mother divorce. We dont know what region the OP hails from to start talking about will or inheritance and anyway I dont know how the first son wont inherit the lions share after the mans demise, especially when the 2nd wife has no child of her own. |

Reffone: You need to stop giving this kind of answer and say something practical otherwise people on the thread will keep giving answers you dont like. Instead of you to explain what documents the woman has, what her business/income is like or outline what steps you have taken to assuage your mother's discomfort you dey here dey yarn mamiwater smh 2 Likes |

pocohantas:when will women learn? building a man literally don't me burning the bridges of ur career path, i wonder why a women would live her dreams and prioritize on get married , and at the long run live under the mercy of the man. this is 21 century beautiful ladies! if you must get married, then taking care of the kids , home and making money shouldn't be one-sided , rather it should be together. don't let any man to marry u and toss to becoming a house wife. you needn't be married to be fulfilled, you can do just fine without men in your life, and if u must marry, stand ur ground on working, if he refused, convince him in a subtle way, if he still refuse sign an agreement that a part of what he earns is urs to keep and if he still refused, dump his sorry ass, because na devil wan use him shine. 1 Like |

I think laws may be sufficient but this is Nigeria. I am always cautious to suggest this because the few divorced families (rich and superich people) I know never properly resolved the issues. The one with the superich father, the wife gets money but is now severely depressed and her children have to live with the father to be able to afford their education abroad. The other one was between two rich people and the mom moved to another country almost 8 years ago and the man has not seen them since. Reffone: |

To me, she can separate from him but divorce It takes longe process to divorce If she lives separately from him, it's a better option She will have her life and freedom to deal with It may not affect her communication with him This is only if she doesn't depend solely on dad |

I wonder if the guys with strong opinions about this issue, will feel the same if it was their mother that was going through this with their father. Hypocrites, they will probably be plotting how to kill the father for treating their mum like that. . Your wife is someone’s mother too, your children’s mother. So before you treat your wife anyhow, put yourself in your children’s shoes and see that your life is at stake. 3 Likes |

DMerciful: Yes, Adam has been known never to take personal responsibility for anything and never to be accountable. It has always been someone else's fault, even God in this case. Despite the specific instruction given to him by God, he still disobeyed and blamed everyone else but himself for his disobedience. 1 Like |
