Pls do not be depressed. Job is not the only way out. Why not try business. Dont you have friends who could loan you cash?

Jobs are hard in Nigeria because we are all corrupt. We would rather help our unqualified family member than a qualified graduate. Corruption begins at home.

One of the major factors responsible for the high level of unemployment in Nigeria is the rapid growth in population. There has been an increase in the growth of the labor forces along with the inadequate supply of jobs. The rapid population growth has been coupled with rural-urban migration. This has increased the population in cities thereby raising the level of joblessness undecided

Also the problems of lack of electricity and low purchasing power angry

The reason is quite simple, but many see it otherwise: the percentage of those seeking employment is way above the percentage of the available jobs. Now, I'm talking economics!
(And we're raising socialists daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly all round, these are people who thinks the government owe them. And parents trains kids to go to school, get a job, marry, and live, and die).
Then, Companies are crashing, employment opportunities are dropping too.
If you ask me how to get a job, I'd tell you: "you must be extremely competitive like game.

Because there are no enough jobs to employ the available Nigerians ready and willing to work.

And the reason for the above is because Nigerian government for many years refused to make policies that encourages the startup and growth of small scale and medium scale businesses and industries.

The resultant effect is the skyrocketing rate of unemployment and under-employment in Nigeria today, and it will continue for the next centuries to come until Nigerians develop sense and start voting the right leaders with right vision and goal.

In Nigeria, a young man or woman will have a beautiful business idea and skill....but he or she cannot get capital to kickstart his or her viable business idea unless he or she is from a rich family background that can fund his or her business ideas.

Nigerian banks will claim they give small business loans, but the collateral is out of reach of young entrepreneurs, and even the interest rate can kill big/established corporations like Google, Microsoft or Facebook if at all they succeed in taking the hell-fire bound loans offered by Nigerian banks.

What about basic amenities that support and encourage the growth of businesses like steady electricity supply, good road network, affordable internet, etc, do they exist in Nigeria NO!!

It is small scale and medium scale businesses that grow a nation, not the big companies....any booming economy you see anywhere in the world, go and check, there are uncountable number of successful small scale businesses.

Nigerian government need to focus on helping more small and medium scale businesses and industries to spring up and grow faster....that's the only way out, not through N-Power or increase in minimum wage.

It is easy.... What is hard is getting an employer that will treat you like a human being...

Virtually all are evil. And I don't blame them.
In Nigeria once you treat underlings with the respect they deserve they start disrespecting you..

E.G
Because my dad is an irredeemably nice man, our gateman always takes his sweet time to open the gate for him .. Sometimes when he is tired he even pretends to be asleep.. But you see those tenants wey dey slap am, abuse am, etc.. If you see the way he rushes to open gate for them eh..

This country is not moving foward. Do not let anyone deceive you. The Rich helps the Rich, the Poor wants to steal from the Poor.
There are jobs, but do you have a rich father or uncle to refer you?
As a youth with dreams and aspirations, Do what you must do. Legally or Ilegal and LEAVE WHILE YOU STILL CAN.

This country will never get better. Take it or leave it!

There are jobs in Nigeria, but it is strictly connection. There are people who if you connect with them, job will be yours.some parents are ven keeping jobs for their children who are still in the university

Also those without connect can also get jobs, however, it is low-paying jobs. E. G schools are awash in Nigeria but they will be offering graduates 20,25k as salary. And we will be complaining of the type of students we churn out. How can a graduate sometimes even with masters teach well with such meager salary.

This country is a joke, just manage where you are and if you get the chance, leave this country and never come back

There are jobs in Nigeria,

Is either you are over qualified for the Available job or not qualified,

We have vacancy in my unit and have been sourcing out for qualified candidate but still yet to find one.

The qualified ones want something close to 6 figures.

1. Nigeria is a country that does not encourage merit.
2. The youths themselves are mostly lazy (Many are hard working, doing 1 - 4 jobs to make ends meet, but a great majority are lazy)
3. Our educational system is whack, does not prepare us for life outside the four walls of a school.
4. Even with the advent of the internet that places almost any information we need at our fingertips, a lot of us prepare to browse for fun and sexual gratification instead of using our phones to learn valuable skills that can advance our economic status.
