Jesus loves you.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 6:46am On Feb 27
I understand you perfectly. Now understand this, if your god loves us and he can watch one of us rape another and consistently do nothing then were is the love? Do you watch the people love hurt themselves and do nothing about it? So your god watches all the worst sexual impulses play out live and does nothing. I don't know what else to call that kind of god but porn watcher.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 7:56am On Feb 27
Same difference, Christians still die from sickness so how are they saved from it?
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 4:50am On Feb 29
You say that because you think/agree sex crimes to be bad. Now, think in God's perspective and our perspective. In God's perspective, lying, stealing, masturbation, abortion, sorcery are all bad. Imagine rooting for God to intervene in every crime case. He's not the police. But He sees it all, and will judge it all in the last day.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 6:49am On Feb 29
According to you, your god created the universe, has any police force claimed to wield such power? How come to display this power is now a problem? He is still resting from the creating or as we can see he is busy enjoying the porn?
Re: Jesus Saves. by Goshen360(m): 7:01am On Feb 29
That's how you and your cohorts quote scriptures OUTOF CONTEXT......
Re: Jesus Saves. by MrPresident1: 7:07am On Feb 29
I am not sure I have any cohorts.
Please explain the verse.
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 12:05pm On Feb 29
By being healed. BTW, God can save anybody from sickness, Christian or no Christian. He's benevolent. But He didn't eradicate sickness. Jesus good friend Lazarus was sick and died. Many other people in the Bible were sick including the great prophet Elisha. But God has a healing provision.
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 12:11pm On Feb 29
Display of the power is not the problem but neither is it the modus operandi. You seem to have an idea or definition of what you expect a "God" to do. He doesn't necessarily operate according to our expectations or mould of thinking. God doesn't intervene into every sin or stop man from every crime.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 2:08pm On Feb 29
Then we can stop pretending you a preaching a god of love or salvation.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 2:15pm On Feb 29
That doesn't work for every Christian? Then what is the point of accepting this "saving"?
Re: Jesus Saves. by solite3(m): 9:48pm On Feb 29
LordReed:no one can be a Christian except they are saved. Jesus is saviour
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 10:19pm On Feb 29
That doesn't answer my question.
Re: Jesus Saves. by sonmvayina(m): 10:23pm On Feb 29
Jesus saves from taliban, ISIS, or boko haram?.. Or from hunger or sickness??..
You have not figured it out that this Jesus story is a wild goose chase... Just to waste your time and keep you busy and distracted while they ransacked our lands for resources to steal...
Why do people really feel the need for looking for a saviour outside of themselves?.. I guess I will never find the answer to this question..
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 4:14am On Mar 01
No. Rather, we should stop holding tightly to our preconceived self imposed yet false notion of God. Notions never found in the Bible. All I'm saying is clearly stated in the Bible. All you are saying are your expectations, the supposed definition of God of which you have no examples.
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 4:25am On Mar 01
Exactly, i've never said the aspect of healing works for everyone. For many reasons, it doesn't. You asked what Jesus saves from and i readily mentioned many things. You left the primary thing. Jesus wants to save you from sin and the coming judgement. All the other things are mere bonuses/additions/advantages. For example, we say Lionel Messi scores/dribbles or smoking kills. It doesn't mean it 100% does, this is simple grammar. So you cannot discard and say "oh Jesus don't save, since not everyone is saved from sickness". You gerrit?
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 6:46am On Mar 01
I picked sickness because that is a visible one but we can explore any of the others and find the same thing. Christians still sin, suicide, get angry, are still bitter, still have malice and malicious thoughts, are sexual deviant, confused, afraid, lack direction, endlessly labour, uncertain, steal, lie, ashamed and many more.
The only one we cannot explore is judgement because of course its beyond the veil of death which nobody has pierced.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 6:49am On Mar 01
Not my preconceived notions but yours. Your said Jesus loves and saves when no such love or salvation is evident. So who is at fault? You who is preaching a love and salvation that has no bearing in reality, that's who.
Re: Jesus Saves. by Goshen360(m): 10:16am On Mar 01
Those were NOT original words of Christ, it was a parable and Christ was narrating the words of another man. Read the verse from beginning and see for yourself.
Re: Jesus Saves. by MrPresident1: 2:00pm On Mar 01
Could you explain why you say they are not the original words of Christ because i have read again and i see that they are very much the words of Christ. I have read again, and I see that it is Christ speaking
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 7:28am On Mar 03
It works for everyone, Christian or no Christian. It's called healING. Jesus can heal anyone, and He heals anyone. If you are sick today, He can heal you despite yourself. Healing is different from absence of sickness on earth. God promised healing, not absence or eradication of sickness which you continue to imply.
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 7:37am On Mar 03
Fortunately or unfortunately for you, the "invisible" is the primary one, salvation from judgement and sin. Christians don't sin, commit suicide, get angry, bitter, have malice and malicious thoughts, are sexual deviant, confused, afraid, lack direction, endlessly labour, uncertain, steal, lie. Anyone who does these is not a Christian and has no hope of eternity. No be me talk am, the Bible says so. Those who do these things DO NOT BELIEVE that it's possible to be free from them. If you don't believe, it's near impossible to be saved.
Re: Jesus Saves. by Image123(m): 7:39am On Mar 03
Love is evident because Jesus still loves you and would save you despite yourself.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 8:00am On Mar 03
You do know the meaning of evident right? How is Jesus loves me evident?
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 8:10am On Mar 03
Wow so you are one of those "Christians do not commit suicide" people while pastors have killed themselves quite recently. You need to rethink that approach because you only stifle those who you would call brother or sister from reporting how they truly feel. Striping them of identity because they have suicidal thoughts is not going to help. Think about that when you talk about love because your attitude certainly is not love.
Christians commit all these things every damn day so please spare me the double speak. Even you I no doubt have you own because no man is perfect.
The invisible is just that invisible. It cannot be primary to anything because you don't even know it, never seen it, never witnessed it. So as far as we are concerned it is not primary. Living in this life now, thats primary. How you treat yourself and your fellow humans that's primary. Not some anomalous nebulous event nobody has a freaking clue about from a book of fairy tales.
Re: Jesus Saves. by LordReed(m): 8:13am On Mar 03
So why do Christians die of disease then? why didn't it work? Why are there Christians with amputeed limbs? Why is it not working for them? Why are Christian children getting inoperable cancers in the brain and dying before the eyes of their Christian parents? Why is it not working for them? Need more examples of how many more Christians it is not working for?

The Parable of the Ten Minas
11While the people were listening to this, Jesus proceeded to tell them a parable, because He was near Jerusalem and they thought the kingdom of God would appear imminently.
12So He said, “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to lay claim to his kingship and then return. 13Beforehand, he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.a ‘Conduct business with this until I return,’ he said.
14But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We do not want this man to rule over us.’
15When he returned from procuring his kingship, he summoned the servants to whom he had given the money, to find out what each one had earned.
16The first servant came forward and said, ‘Master, your mina has produced ten more minas.’
17His master replied, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very small matter, you shall have authority over ten cities.’
18The second servant came and said, ‘Master, your mina has made five minas.’
19And to this one he said, ‘You shall have authority over five cities.’
20Then another servant came and said, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have laid away in a piece of cloth.b 21For I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man. You withdraw what you did not deposit and reap what you did not sow.’
22His master replied, ‘You wicked servant, I will judge you by your own words. So you knew that I am a harsh man, withdrawing what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow? 23Why then did you not deposit my money in the bank, and upon my return I could have collected it with interest?’
24Then he told those standing by, ‘Take the mina from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
25‘Master,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
26He replied, ‘I tell you that everyone who has will be given more; but the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
27And these enemies of mine who were unwilling for me to rule over them, bring them here and slay them in front of me.’”

Continue to ask for clarity if you're still not sure.
Re: Jesus Saves. by MrPresident1: 6:57pm On Mar 04
You said those words are not the original words of Jesus and that he was narrating the words of another man. From the passage you quoted, I can see that Jesus' words were in quotes which indicates that it is Jesus speaking, in reply to what they told him.
Re: Jesus Saves. by Goshen360(m): 2:40pm On Mar 05
You're sounding like a man with a negative intention to the world as people read what you're saying. Why is English comprehension this hard to understand if you don't have a negative intention?
Vs 11 to 13 says Jesus told a parable of noble man and described the translation.
Vs 14 gave the clue to vs 27 about the noble man's enemies who do not want the noble man to rule over them.
Vs 15 to 23 described the transaction between the man and his servants in the continuous parable Jesus was telling to them....still in the context of the words of the noble man.
Vs 24 to 27 were the RESPONSE of the noble man to the rest of his servants and connects with verse 14 about the enemies of this noble man who do not want him, the noble man to rule over them.
Re: Jesus Saves. by MrPresident1: 4:53am On Mar 06
Jesus is the Master and the parable is about himself.
I don't have any negative intention, it is you who is trying to twist what is untwistable.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
Jesus is the King, when he returns he will recompense everyone for their talents and their deeds. Those his enemies that would not that he should reign over them shall have their recompense too as he promised
Re: Jesus Saves. by Goshen360(m): 11:32am On Mar 06
I laugh in tongues!
Go and study what parables are and how it's being interpreted. That interpretation is YOURS and not Christ. But, let me give you that line of thought for the sake of argument assuming your interpretation is (or was) right.
Were those enemies brought forth hither in front of him and slayed before him? After all, he didn't say those enemies SHALL BE SLAYED.....(to mean future tense).
