Innoson needs the 4billion he requested to mobilize.

Is it not the same Innoson that donated billions to the fg on covid-19 ?

Innoson can source for funds from his banks. He's a businessman for crying out loud, the market is out there for him to hit recognition outside Nigeria plus the huge profit at this point of demand. If he is not ready he should sit down and stop involving the government in order to depicting the government as unconcerned.

Sentiment and emotions has eroded our reasoning as a person and a Nation.

All those person's accusing the government of not supporting innoson on this castle in the air ventilator manufacturing, particular those from the east of 9ja should answer this question with sincerity:

HOW MANY PERSONS FROM THE EAST ARE BUYING AND DRIVING INNOSON MOTORS?

If your answer to the above question is above 30% buyers of innoson from the east, then you can spur accusations and trash on the government. If below sit yourself down and reset your reasoning faculty to start reasoning well.

DON'T ALLOW HATRED AND EMOTIONS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR SENSES

Any vehicle manufacturer can manufacture Ventilators.

Dangote had already started building his refinery.

He had already received loans from his banks.

The government is right even the USA would buy Innosons ventilators, so what is he waiting for?

then why are you asking for prototypes?

What Bashir Amad said is right. Innoson and it's chairman donated billions to the government respectively on covid-19. So why ask for loan to produce what you stand to profit by ?

He is waiting for the government to beg him, so that they will have something to chestbeat.

They will even one day in the future claim that; "if not for Innoson, Nigeria would not have arrested the coronavirus outbreak".

It's either people in this part of the world are senseless or there's something you lots are not telling us about this shithole called Nigeria.

What's the big deal if lnnoson brags about saving the country? For crying out loud, companies are established to solve human problems. If a Nigerian company cannot solve its local problem, what's the use of the company?

Perhaps the reason for this stupid comment is that we have lots of underaged kids on Nairaland.

He is right. They can produce and even export it as the world demand is increasing. No need to wait for the government to tell you "do so". LlAfter all, it's your own private company.

Its not his specialty. Neither do he need to go into ventilator production on such commercial basis, without Government commitment to that effect.

Let's learn to see things from others' angle.
If you are a business person who knows demand for ventilators is temporal and just for the remaining period of corona virus, will you use such huge resources to mass-produce the equipment and, hopefully, as the virus gets eradicated soon, the company will warehouse it or export it to the moon?

If Innoson had foolishly rushed into the production, these people speaking ill of him would have still accused him of trying to profit off the pandemic.

Which way my country people

Most of the donations you read about are pledges. Most of them dont go and bring out the billions cash and deposit. Someone can make a pledge of 10 billion and pay 100,000 every month. That's how it's done.

There is nothing on the internet that justifies his position.

Innoson manufactures the plastics, metal finishing, foam, and other things.

He imports the engines from the Japanese Mitsubishi like many car producers, and critical electrical components.

So how is it 95% imports?

Is Engines and wiring 95% of a car?

He is a product of bad belle.

Ventilators are the most sought after items in the world right now. Countries are willing to pay any amount judtbto have them. If Innoson is serious, he should approach a commercial bank and get the N4b loan from them. He will make more than double of the investment if he can truly deliver within the next one month.

Oga u don't know how business of production works more than that man innoson ok?

Stop this defeatist mentality!
Dangote saw the vacuum,
he made a plan,
mopped up his personal cash and some cash from some close friends/allies,
Approached the banks for massive loan with his plans.
Govt saw an opportunity and keyed into it!!!

What has innoson done concerning his ventilator project? undecided

Lol....Dyson just started building ventilators after coronavirus....and you think boris did not see the design before placing the order? Would you buy something you have not seen before or have tested? Ps in case you don't know Dyson are vacuum cleaner makers who designed and started building their own ventilators to help shortages also adding an additional 5 thousands to the production line as part of their contributions....and lastly log onto instagram and see people from alibaba to the Psquare boys and Mavins crew promoting the young man and tagging all the necessary agencies and promissing to get him the needed meetings.....like I said preparedness meets opportunity.....if you cannot find a place in your heart to support your own please stand by yourself.

Oga, that young man’s device wouldn’t be of much assistance in any isolation ward. That is not a mechanical ventilator. He is misinformed and do not have any clue what a ventilator is and what it does.

His machine is a manual resuscitator. It can be part of an emergency resus box. If you are performing a basic life support, that device can be used to give oxygen to the patient.

Ventilator is more complex with micro processors and we should be careful what we support and introduce into our health care system. Even the top end ones when used by highly trained medics can still harm the patient.

Ventilators aid breathing in patients who are very poorly and can’t without assistance. It gives measured amount of O2 and take out CO2. I don’t even think that Innoson has the capacity to provide a good ventilator at this time...take into account that the vital aspects of this machine need to be sterilised. The tubes that go into the patient can cause secondary health problem to the patient....Any ventilator whether INNOSON’s or Bayero Uni’s need to be very rugged and robust to withstand Nigeria’s fluctuating and unstable electricity/power.

Covid virus attacks the lung’s cilia which prevents build up of mucus. A ventilator helps to prevent that and it must be good enough to work efficiently delivering air.

That young man’s device is not a ventilator. Anyone with basic plumbing skills with the access to the parts can DIY that.

But it is okay for Dangote to ask for tax relief and other incentives before repairing the roads to the port that they contributed in destroying.

It is okay for Dangote to ask for the banning of certain food items before he will produce them locally!

The only issue I see here is that innoson should not be too Nigeria centric.

Meet a foreign govt in west Africa, possibly Ghana or whoever.

Get a subsidised contract from them, produce for them and supply.

If Nigeria comes back to the table, charge them double.
The risk you took has to be compensated.
