So far in Nigeria , a country of 200 million people, less than 30 people have died, one at least was in the public eye.

The rest, less than a thousand people, have only tested positive and some may have been asymptomatic.

It is left for you to believe this or not, but probability suggests you wouldn't know anyone that has been afflicted.

By the way, how many people do you know personally have been killed by Boko Haram?

Another thing I noticed is that as soon as the European union gave Nigeria a 27 billion grant, the cases started to rise uncontrollably. Anyway thats my observation.

One straight reason could be that
Ghana(population-26m) has done about 70,000 tests in the past weeks, meaning they have identified and isolated most of the infected citizens. In Nigeria(population-260m), we have done less than 10,000 tests and are already complaining kits are finished.
Based on our population, we'll likely have more cases than Ghana and we are not even there yet.

To be honest I marvel at the level of Ignorance displayed by many Nigerians. And to worsen it, everyone has turned specialist statistician and medical juggernut with some funny theories that made me appreciate even more the number of years I have spent through med school and practice.

And my answer is simple! Visit any isolation centre of your choice, have someone cough into your face then go home to your aged parents and tells us the story from your first hand experience in 3wks.

The numbers displayed on worldometer is grossly underreported cos it doesn't include deaths in the communities and homes as well as cases in people who self isolated and the assymptomatic patients that never got tested.
