Nobody, I repeat nobody should ever believe that you can study and work in the U.K. to pay off your tuition & living expenses, yet still live the “abroad luxury” people always imagine.

90% of the time, you are forced to breach your 20 hours a week allowance or start a self employed side hustle. Even if you’re earning well, e go still dey pain you to pay off the tuition. If someone ask for you loan, you go think am well before you even give response. U.K. is survival of the fittest. When you reach, you shine your eyes well.

All this one you guys are saying is skoto meow........oga said have everything prepared before leaving Nigeria. Don't cheat the government. So if he didn't have everything and worked why discourage people who want a better living outside. That's my own question.

Yes and Yes.. not even 40 hours term time. I am working 35 hours term time after final submisison of my dissertation

The best is to pick sense in what Justwise has said. UKVI didn't send him a letter for breach of student visa or anything, he studied, sticked to the rule and finished well. He has been advising people to stick to UKVI rules which is an advantage if we do that. He is living his good life in UK.

It included... point to note, VISA fees has 3 siblings aka types. So depends on the one you want

Yes, IHS costs are paid upfront during your application process.
It's £300 for each year of your course + £150 for the extra 4-6 months after your course ends. So for a year course, you'd be paying £750 (£300*2+£150).
The fee changes to £470 (Tier 4 and Tier 5 applicants) and £624 (other adult categories) in October though so if your application is made from October, you'd be paying more. IHS fees for 2 year course in October will be 470*2 (IHS fee for 2 years) +235 (IHS for 4-6 months) =1,175.

Msc in an engineering course.
Tution fee:£20k plus. Discount of £3k plus is very likely to be given. Now looking to raise £6000 to complete the tution fee and also the living expenses for the 1yr program will be taken care of by the money earn while working in uk.

You missed out IHS cost of £450 for 1 year courses (300 for each year of your course and 150 for the extra time granted after your course ends).
It will go up to £470 (Tier 4 and Tier 5 applications) and £624 (for other adult categories) in October 2020.

Correction:

You'd be paying £450 if you apply before October and if your course is for one year.

IHS is the fee you pay to use the NHS while you live in the UK.
