fstranger1: I agree with you, there's nothing impressive about crime, scamming and depriving people of their money. But in the company of people like him and considering his background, he outdid himself. one bellhop became convinced that the first-generation Nigerian-American was a porn director Hmm I always feel Americans underestimate Nigerians. |

^^Oh yea I saw that cnn story too, thoroughly embarrassing. But this guys story seems bigger, or maybe the fortune writer just embellished it. Abi the US agents dropped the ball and cooked up this he's-an-enigma tale to make him look bigger and save them some face? Dunno. I think that final getaway story sounds kinda unreal but it's not wise to underestimate Nigerians like that. 1 Like |

there are two ways to this story; either the FBI guys embellished this story to cover their asses or this is one hell of an intelligent dude we are reading about. that final get away story seems too good to be true. |

Re: Tobechi Onwuhara: The King Of Home Equity Fraud by tyor: 12:10pm On Jan 26, 2011 |
To start with, this story is stale. The FBI got White house approval to arrest him in early 2007 and his picture was put Second next to Osama Bin Laden (bn the no. 1 most wanted), a little girl that was missing (bn the 2 most wanted) and Tobechukwu Onwuhara (No 3). He was on the list throu-out 2008, dunno about now. The amount as disclosed by FBI was in hundreds of billions. As at the time our local authorities heard, EFCC froze his accounts with all Nigerian banks. As this time, I was working in a bank our review showed that he cleared his account (by way of transfer to another bank) which had 8bn a week before he was declared missing. His last known address was a house in VGC and he has loads of nigerians working for him and he was a toast of marketers (bank deposit agents). FBI can neva catch this guy! I stand to be corrected. |

This guy is an intellect. What is called hacking when you cant practice it, it's awkward i know but the guy is good, just stay put and watch out what comes out of this all, to me there is no case against him, the guy is simply teaching the bank a harsh lesson. |

you seems to be a block head.Crime is a global issue and its not peculiar to a particular people. Who says scam is good? Rather than addressing the issue at hand u r busy pointing fingers. Thats y Nigeria can never move forward, always pointing fingers.INEC DDC machine was not working rather than fix d problem they were busy pointing fingers at the NYSC members. You must'nt comment |
