PoliticsRe: Obasanjo: People Can Mourn Me The Way They Like When I Die by 5thcolm(m): 4:25am On Aug 11, 2020
sodiqapril:
Obasanjo is a man who doesn't mince words, he used to critize kashamu when he was alive so while should he stop now that he's dead all in the name of don't abuse the dead..as I've always said. Nigerian policiticans have this easy, when they're alive nobody critizes them because of fear when they die also we don't talk because we don't want to insult the dead.
Sensible comment!

I have always said our culture is our problem in Nigeria.
Bad leaders have no reason change their ways

Where you there when the doctor was killed? You guys will just hear things and escalate it as if it were facts.

We're you not aware of the fact that Trump said it was all a hoax when the opposition called his attention to the development?

China reported to WHO and that is all that matters. Whether WHO did the right things is another topic. The American news media saw everything happening in China and reported it. Why didn't the US leadership spring into action immediately?

Ofcourse, they where waiting for China to come cap in hands to tell them about the pandemic personally before they can take action.

See, the problem with the US leadership, with Trump, is that he expects to be asslicked at every given time. He has that delusion that he is the most powerful man in the world and so everyone must bow. And he thinks leadership is a reality show where you can willfully phuck up and blame it on the camera man. Imagine the old punk trying to blame the past administration on his mess up, 4 years into his administration.
You are making sense here...

My question to anyone blaming china is. What was the U.S. doing when china built emergency hospital in 10 days and finished it by February 2nd, meaning they have taken this serious since january and everyone knows about it. Now everyone is saying china hid information. What information exactly did they hid?

I live in the U.S. and i can tell you the only difference in this lockdown is that some business did not open, aside that everyone pretty much do whatever they like in the name of human right.

The government cannot enforce any law cause it's would be term as abuse of human right. .. that is the price to pay for democracy and that is why Aristotle and Plato said democracy is not sustainable

Sheer dumbness from your comments! Same Lagos that traffic rules are being broken by the second? Or is there another Lagos?

The narrative still remains that the CP just want to settle old scores with SP. A shame..
So you are going to ignore the fact the club does not have a parking space and causing serious traffic in that area abi
PoliticsRe: Quilox: Akin Alabi Accuses Police Of Demanding Bribe To Release Impounded Cars by 5thcolm(m): 10:27pm On Dec 23, 2019
I'm not sure if i can call it bribe, it's cost of towing and space to keep your car

Based on my experience in the US, if your car ever gets towed based on traffic violation. You will pay fine of 300 dollars upward depending on how long the car stays at the tow yard.

You don't expect to get your car back for free and let the government bare the cost of towing and space to keep your car

The only part I don't support is them stripping her naked and recording.

In Nigeria,if it was a guy who stole half of what she stole,he would have been disgraced and probably treated worse.
Abegggi, let them beat sense into her head,so that she will not steal again next time grin
But what if she actually didn't do what they accused her of.
There is a reason why police abroad treat suspects with respect. If you justify torturing a guilty person, then someone wrongfully accused of been guilty would also be tortured. These tortures can have irreversible consequences.
Let's say no to torturing of any suspect.

It's more disappointing this comment is coming from a female

SportsChelsea’s Fikayo Tomori Reveals Why He Chose England Over Nigeria, Canada by 5thcolm(op): 8:01pm On Oct 08, 2019
Chelsea defender, Fikayo Tomori has revealed why he decided to choose England over Nigeria and Canada.

DAILY POST reports that Tomori, who is also eligible to play for Nigeria and Canada was included in England squad for their Euro 2020 qualifying games against Czech Republic and Bulgaria on October 11 and 14.

Speaking on why he decided to choose England ahead of Nigeria and Canada, the 21-year-old said he would have represented either Nigeria or Canada had they extended an invitation to him before the Three Lions did.

“England is such a big nation, as well as Nigeria and Canada, so I think I was going to be happy with whoever called me up – but it’s nice it is England,” Tomori told Goal.

“It wasn’t England all the way. I had certain people and certain things that I had to consider. I spoke to my family and people that I care about it and that’s the decision I came to. So, when England came calling, it was difficult to say no.

“It was just more of a thing I was waiting for a call-up because the last international break I didn’t get a call-up from anyone. This international break, I was waiting for a call-up and England called me up.”

Someone disagreed with your assertion that Naira Marley is great and asked for your definition of greatness to know why you think Naira Marley is great.

I honestly don't think that is to much to ask.

You only need to tell us what greatness means to you and how Naira Marley is an example, perhaps, we might learn a thing or two from your perspective.

Thanks

easy. Name one relevant thing you've done in your life. That your country knows. Either good or bad. Not all greatness is positively inclined. Be guided. Expecting your answer
Oga define greatness first, then he/she would name one relevant thing based on your definition
PoliticsRe: Sanwo-Olu Says Less than 700,000 people pay taxes in Lagos by 5thcolm(m): 1:12pm On Oct 02, 2019
I don't agree with that figure. The agency in charge is obviously not reporting the right figure or the governor is intentionally giving the wrong figure.

All established companies and government workers by default get tax deducted from their salary.

The question is, is the governor really saying that the total number of bank workers, teachers, insurance workers, government workers and many other registered companies in lagos workers is only about 700k?

We don't need to think to much to know that the 700k figure is not accurate

I estimate workers working in these establishments to be at least 2-3 million. That is me being very conservative with my estimate

What exactly is your point?

May we know what Oby's remark had to contribute to issue at hand?

Buhari met with Trump. Do we an Oby to tell us the essence/import of the meeting?

The last time I checked she was no spokesperson for the government so why the busybody strivings to be notice/seen to be relevant?
An who appointed you to be a spokesperson on nairaland?
Twitter is a free to comment platform like nairaland, i dnt expect that you have issues with anyone commenting on whatever topic they desire.
So the question is,
What is your issue with her commenting on buhari's trip on Twitter?
Would you have criticized me if i made the same comment on twitter?
And why are you even commenting on nairaland since we didn't appoint u as a spokesperson?
