Mo3891: This fear of certain defeat is why they are insisting that APC (Islamic and Ewedu people party ) should cede the ticket to them even when they are not bold enough to demand same from PDP. The fear is going into a contest with yorubas and understandably so, they have zero political capital with the rest of Nigerians 12 Likes |

Sammy07: It does not work that way. You should know Igbo nation are not NE and NC we have no masters in Nigeria. Ndi Igbo are one of the 3 founding regions of Nigeria as emphasized by elder Clarke. Yoruba candidate is free to try but Nigerians knows it is the turn of SE. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hellraiser77: No matter how you spin it, an Igbo candidate in APC will fail. Understand the election trend in Nigeria. The SS and SE most times always vote the same way to an extent and that is a blessing and a curse at the same time. Let’s do a simple analogy. Let’s say APC field Okorocha and PDP fields Peter Obi in an election. For the SW: the vote will be divided because the Yorubas usually vote 55/45 when the candidate is not a Yoruba. Check all elections where the leading candidates are outsiders to understand what I mean. I score Okorocha 55% here. For the SS: I can bet it that Peter Obi will win at least 70% of their votes and Okorocha will only muster maximum 30%. For the SE: Peter Obi will win with at least 85-90% of the votes. For the NC: It will almost be 50/50% for both candidates. For the NW & NE: The vice presidential candidate will be the determinant. There will be voter apathy and even if APC will win it won’t be over 60%. The North will be somehow indifferent and especially with how Igbos constantly burn bridges with their unguarded utterances. let’s say Okorocha win 60%. Now do the Maths yourself to see that APC will dig their own grave if they present an Igbo president against an Igbo presidential candidate in PDP. 20 Likes |

Even the igbos will not vote for igbo presidency because that is not what they want. They want biafra. That the igbo politicians that made up only 0.04% of igbo population are seeking for the Nigerian cursed presidency doesn't mean that the remaining igbo majority will support them. All these old monkey-looking Nigerian useless politicians always bullshiting themselves with igbos on their lips. Ndi ara ndi ara! 4 Likes |

My submission is it will amount to waste of energy debating with an Igbo person on this forum. Even when you present simple logic responds to a debate they still can't get it, rather they will play to the gallery. It is a simple political mathematics democracy deals with numbers. Since they lack the numbers it is sensible to build alliances, create conducive atmosphere for dialogue with those who have the numbers, build trust links. It is not a rocket science Nigerians both north and south will be your advocate. Not insulting us that have the numbers and still expect us to give you power for where? You can continue with your blackmailing just as you guys did last year against Speaker Gbaja just to prevent him from becoming Speaker. We are here expecting your usual chest-beating comment even when your political leaders have agreed it will take a miracle for igbo person to become Nigeria President. 13 Likes |

Ezeama400: I can tell you with all confidence that Igbo person would not get APC ticket. Igbo race has consistently displayed acute hatred for the party and it is certain that Igbo would not give the party a significant vote percentage as usual. No serous minded political party would deliberately lose an election because they want to please certain ethnic group that has not invested meaningfully into their party. What I see on the horizon is not what you see. 13 Likes 1 Share |

LegendHero:Again your figures are wrong, Northern votes will never be 50/50 in such a case where both parties field an Igbo candidate, The North majority will go APC(I don't want to throw numbers and percentages around) The southwest majority will go APC too seeing it's the party they have the most stakes in (of course there won't be an avenue to spite Igbos as both candidates are igbo).....I don't see SW voting with indifference in this case. The south south on the other hand is likely to swing majorly PDP(again no one can be sure about numbers). The southeast vote will on the other hand be a clear reflection of the acceptance of the respective candidates at home (this is why I don't like the idea of Kanu, he has dirt just like Tinubu) The choice of Vice President for the both parties will also play a minute role. APC will win if they take their time to choose the right Igbo candidate 1 Like |

The only southern candidate we know in 2023 is from the South east. That is what southern Nigeria will vote for. Any other southern candidate from any other ethnic group is on his own. |

MrColdsweat: Someone needs to refreshen the memory of this child of hate and perdition cum ipob terrorist sympathizer. Igbos do not have a stake in APC because it is a fulani/yoruba ewedu muslim terrorist party.. Maybe you think we all have short memories,, Your derogatory remarks about the party are all there for all to see and we will exhume them when the time is right. we can still remember you all labelled the few igbos in APC bastards and fulani slaves.. we can still remember how you all heaved insults on the nollywood actor kenneth okonkwo when he asked you lots to join APC The Most hated politicians alive in the SE today are Rochas, OUK and ihedioha yet you want APC to cede its ticket to a bunch of hateful people. SolaRaphael: That unity you craved for was destroyed in 1959 when Azikiwe rejected that call from Awolowo to be the prime minister (in an AG/NCNC alliance, despite AG comming second and NCNC coming third) and accepted to be a ceremonial president in an NPC/NCNC alliance. If there will be unity, it would be between the south west and the south south. This is already taking shape - if you can understand political moves. 12 Likes |
