You fail to realize something and that is the fact that the term "Afghan" is way more broader than you think.

Not trying to play lecturer tonight. But just so you know, never call an Afghan an Arab. Many of them don't like it.

And for a fact, there is absolutely nothing "Arab" about the Afghan whether he or she is a Pukhtun, an Uzbek, a Tajik, an Hazara, a Nuristani etc.

The ethnic groups that make up Afghanistan are largely of Indo-European stock. The Arabs on the other hand, are of Semitic stock. Notice the difference.

The closest relations to the Afghans racially-speaking are the Iranians(Persians) who are also of Indo-European stock like them. So, you are right in that part.

But as for calling them Arabs or part-Arabs... no way. Just drop the Arab part.

The largest tribe are tbe Tajik and Pukhtun, who are Persians. Afghanistan was conquered by Arabs. And Arabs have settled there and mixed with the population. You have Afghan Arabs tribe. Therefore Afghanistan indigenous population = Persians + Arabs.
