This sounds like Fulani declaration against the South, I just it doesn't snowball into a conflagration, the fear of Buhari and Fulani led Army brutality is dissipating in the South gradually. Another Python dance may descend into a major conflict shocked

Why won't the army stay calm to defuse the situation with tact instead of making provocative statement in the heat of a looming crisis?

Southern masses have been provoked for too long and any small spark can set many things ablaze. The army has never issued any guidelines in the north east upon all the casualties they keep getting, it's in the south they will be acting superman.
Very stupid comment, but it didnt come unexpectedly. What part of the statement is provocative? And what is this stupidity about "Southern youths" being provoked? When would characters like you protest against your state governments that have turned your respective states into domains not deserving of habitation by humans?

And tell your useless lord called Kanu to stop meddling in the affairs of the protesters. Idiots like him would only succeed in making it more difficult for the protesters (genuine ones) to achieve their objectives.

There's nothing antipeople in this press release. Put yourself in the position of the head of the Nigerian Army. Would you fold your hands while hoodlums are running rampant? The press release doesn't say they are going to stop the protests, they're only warning "subversive elements and trouble makers" to beware.

The onus is now on the organizers of the protests to ensure that their activities remain peaceful.

They said they are loyal to the presidency in order word's if you protest against the presidency or campaign for disunity, you will be taken out

This is a subtle threat to the protesters and people of Nigeria in general.

Where did you see people running rampant? Most of the protests had been peaceful, the only few violent once said were triggered by the police themselves when they try to quell the protests using tear gas and live bullets. Or, when paid hoodlums tried to disrupt the protests. The protesters arrested the hoodlums and handed them over to the police.

Tell me one subversive action the protesters had undertaken.

What will you say of the US where not just protesters but rioters had destroyed many homes, businesses and monuments that went on for months? The US army should have been killing US citizens abi?

You did not hear of riots in 2005, not even by French citizens, but by immigrants, that went on in France for 3 weeks, with massive destruction of property. Maybe according to your suggestion, the French army should have massacred immigrants.

This is a civil issue, it does not concern the military, unless the security of the nation or government is threatened. There are numerous para military organization that are meant to deal with civil strife.

I pity many Nigerians making unguarded comments online. Currently, Nigeria is surrounded by very poor neighbors and any war will lead to invasion of the Country. People are going to die from hunger because the country has no food reserve and the war will last for many years without achieving anything. Most foreign countries will only send more arms for you to kill yourselves. PLEASE NIGERIA ARMY REMOVE BUHARI AND SAVE NIGERIA FROM CIVIL WAR.

You are right... But, the nation can't continue like this! We are going nowhere fast!!!

Sometimes, halting the nation into chaos is the only way to bring forth the right order... Typical example being Egypt!!!

Nigerians must revolt against their leaders fast!!!... They have shown that they are not only incompetent, but also remorselessly and unabashedly so!

Just imagine Buhari appointing that old hag hated by all as INEC comm.??! In the face of all these issues on ground??! What does that tell you about your current leaders??!... This country needs to unite and set things right, or disintegrate into pieces!!!

While those on peaceful protest can go ahead.

I am afraid we are getting to that point in the South, the people are gradually losing the fear of the Army, put guns in the hands of the people and they will confront the Army.
If IPOB can do it with just microphones, imagine if they have AK 47 like Fulani herdsmen to face the Army which is seen as a fulani security outfit

It is the south that is causing undue problems. It started with a legitimate grouse. SARS was dissolved. Yet the protests continued with jobless people disturbing the peace and movement of others. People living or working in Lekki had to spend hours at the toll gate yesterday because of some idiots that were shouting ’no more SARS’. Do they listen to the news at all? Little kids were in cars desperate to get home for a meal. I watched a video of a girl making noise at Lekki gate. Anyone with any brain cells will see she was just seeking attention and nothing else. Now someone is here trying to make it a northern and south issue. smh!!!!

Some of you are really funny. You claim to know but you're just a bunch of illiterates and the protest is being supported by you lot not for anything but because you feel it makes the country more difficult to govern and, maybe, the end result of that might be good for pdp.

Nothing more.

Even in the United States, whom you lot see as the most shiny beacon of democratic rule in the world, the Army is used to quell protests, most recently, the civil rights protests against the police (exactly what is happening here). But since you guys are pdp hacks, you would rather things happen differently here.

This is been economical and biased in response, we all know this is a subtle threat from the NA to protesters on a pure civilian matter that has no bearing with the NA......they should thread carefully not to escalate issues outta proportion.

The worst they can do now is to shoot down one protester and the monster in the people will be unreached on them. Remember You cannever know the strength of the masses untill you provoke them beyond control. I bet them to try any nonsense and see the other side of Nigerians. At this point dying is no longer a threat to Nigeria Youth who have long been brutalised but before we go down the Soul of Nigeria will breed. Let them try Nonsense we are waiting.

You are not educated enough to know that it's the police job to issue warning not soldiers. They only talk when it involves external aggression, this is a civil matter not a military one they think they can intimidate people.

How come they don't issue warning when Muslims kill people (Christians) in Kano and Kaduna, now the South are out they are issuing gibberish.

My thoughts exactly. I've been denied access to my means of livelihood for about a week now by the road blockades. It is their rights to protest. It is also my right to have access to a public road. It is an infringement on my rights to be denied road access. Protesters should converge on one side, while others who wish to go about their lawful duties can go about their activities.
shut up ! these protesters are youths like you. They left everything to make a statement for u and all u care about is a clear pathway that leads to your place of work. shame on u !!! I am ashamed to share desame country with u.

First, the Nigerian Army should go and defend democracy against Boko Haram. That's their constitutional mandate. Defend and uphold the integrity of Nigeria. The Army has failed it's core mandate and now they're issuing threats to Nigerian Youths carrying placards. Rubbish!!
