My point is, there is no strong opposition against PDP. Even the north is divided. I thought Ribadu would step down for Buhari or vice versa.

They should atleast come together if they are to win PDP. Apart from that, I like GEJ grin

Eleven Reasons Why You Should Waste Your Vote On Jonathan
April 15, 2011 - 14:36 — siteadmin
By Safiya Musa

One, he’s the kind of president that will vote N10bn for 6 federal universities but will give N30bn for the entertainment industry. They say it is a loan but is the the entertainment industry the most endangered? What about the health and education sectors?

Two, he’s the type of president that will vote N1.3bn for furniture in less than a year after his house was renovated for him and a similar amount spent by the deceased president on the same house? Insensitive? Selfish?

Three, he’s the kind of president that will provide intervention fund for the textile industry and less than one week later lift the ban on the importation of textile!

Four, he’s the kind of president that will increase the age of cars allowed into the country from 10 to 15 years when governments all over the world are spending billions to eliminate high carbon based carbon from the society because of
negative impact on the environment.

Five, he’s the kind of president that will set up six universities premised on a silly reason that every state should have one, created additional three when all the existing ones are in a state of uselessness due to huge under-funding?

Six, he’s the kind of president that will waive and allow duty free importation of rice into the country, denying our local farmers the revenue, the support and the patronage needed for growth; all in the name of politics. Even Baba Iyabo was unhappy and could not believe that we import rice with so much local production going on.

Seven, he’s the kind of president that will consider creating an airport in each state of the federation when the existing international and local ones are in ruins and taken over by goats and cows. Please visit Kano International Airport at night and see whether you won't have to read psalm 23 for safe landing.

Eight, he’s the kind of president that will spend an entire $4.5bn in excess crude oil account in less than eight months; arguing that the account is illegal but the people have not seen anything he did with the money. Na wa oh!

Nine, he’s the kind of president that will spend N10bn or N17bn on an anniversary with nothing to write home about. Ghana spent less than N200m and the impact is still on 2 years later – I still dey vex for this one!

Ten, he’s the kind of president who under the guise of raising money for election keeps the price of kerosene and AGO at over N130. Well, it’s good for the masses. Na only no queues at the filling station una dey see?

Eleven, he’s the kind of president who will spend so much money on a carnival like campaign around the country without spending time to reflect on the number of children without shoes, without books and without food. Or are poverty stricken people no more in Nigeria?
In sum, the guy does not have the capacity to lead us. Many say he’s nice. That’s true but so are children; but if we allow them to lead even our houses, we can only harvest destruction.
Besides, who wants a nice president? Nice neighbour, yes; nice wife, yes; nice friend, yes. But a nice president?

This is brilliant and thought provoking

But I don't pity anyone. These stupid masses deserve what they're getting!

I predict a PDP landslide even in CPC strongholds. However, President Jonathan will not complete his term as he will be bundled out in a military coup.

I've posted a detailed explanation of why this will happen in the "Buhari will win" thread on the front page. I can't be bothered to copy and paste all that here so you can all go and read page 4 of that or look at my posting history.

A coup is inevitable. All the signs are there.

Corruption has never being our major problem

Sectionalism, ethnicity and tribal divide is our main problem . . .they feed the hatred and suspicion we have for each other . .This problem is deeply embedded in the name called Nigeria as we know it . . . Our early leaders like Azikiwe , the Sultan of Sokoto and Pa Awolowo et al. , did not make provision to solve this suspicion and hatred  for each other. All they did was to shift it aside hence giving room to corruption in the form of Nepotism. It started out regionally as the resolve to hold tight to whatever you feel is good (positions, allocation e.t.c ) for your kinsmen cos of the fear that no other region will do that for you , so your need to look out for yourself and your people, than allow any other tribe come close to your chest supposedly meant for the populace. Just like a seed when planted will grow into a tree over time with roots reaching deep down to the depths of the soil, what started out as regional "hold tight for your people" syndrome became more polarized as people even in the same region began to see others as majorities or minority  . .from minority - majority debate . .it went deep down to the clan level where even in the same L .G. A . .they even fight in a very bloody manner just to acquire that wealth forcefully.

When the stakes went higher , the focused now shifted from clan driven struggles to family struggles . . . and this family struggles is the phase we are in our our corruption expedition . .a phase that is more monstrous than the regional, tribal and clan related corrupt tendencies . . .  Now people feel the need to emancipate their family and their entire generations yet unborn by amassing illegal wealth to the detriment of the others . .with the thinking that they are making hay while the sun shines . .and the next family seeing this trend and the appealing yield would fight doggedly by any means just to get his/her family to the pie only meant for the strong and mighty . .while the poor are the mercy of the strong political gladiators

The only voice of the poor is at the election but the mighty elites who  benefited from the past ensured that they also controlled the dynamics of the electoral process introducing money politics, rigging ,and the last option arming youths with guns to acts as enforcers to their greed
. . .  If the electoral process is strengthened where people can get to chose who they want , and a feeling of oneness is entrenched by solidifying development in all areas . . .  relegating religion to the background in whatever we do . . .having the believe that i can comfortable travel to other regions and trust my neighbor like myself . . .then you will see corruption suffer a very painful death

If we start loving our neighbor as ourselves, that will be the end of sectionalism, ethnic and tribal divide . if those trio are successfully reduced to level that won't cause economic damage then more than 80% of the problem we are facing as a nation will be solved . .

The bottom line: corruption is not our major problem today . . .

Wish you well as you go all out to make your choice, we shall all come back in one piece . . grin grin grin

Election day! make una see prayer points o!                          If you can say Amen to any of these prayers please go to the polls and vote for PDP:
1. May your lives and businesses be run exactly the same way the PDP has been running Nigeria for the past 12 years.
2. May your life be as bright as PDP has lit Nigeria with electricity.
3. May your journey in life be as smooth as the interstate roads in Nigeria.
4. May your home be as organised and as beautiful as Murtala Mohammed Airport.
5. May your life savings be managed as PDP has managed Nigeria's foreign reserve.
6. May your family experience the peace and love that the people of Jos have experienced in 4 years.
7. May your children's education and working career reflect the standard of education in Nigeria.
If you were able to say Amen to just one please feel free to vote PDP on Saturday. If not, then you have the power to give CPC/ACN a chance to correct all these defects of PDP.
Let us vote wisely. Its not only about a personality. Let us think and ask ourselves this question: "is it proper that the party that brought us to this mess be the same party to lead us into the future?" Think Nigerians, think.

Right there is where your hopes have been completely dashed! There is nothing like CPC/ACN. The alliance failed and PDP has won the election already. Buhari is already licking his wounds. Join him.
