I thought I paid 100k to my lawyers account for his service not knowing I credited a wrong account with same name. (The tellers fault anyway).

My lawyer trusts me so when I told him I’d credited his account, he believed and didn’t bother to check.

The money got into a teacher’s account. A kind hearted woman who kept on going to the bank to report the anomaly.

The bank kept asking her to go that it was her money.

She kept going to different branches till one customer service officer reached out to me.

I confirmed the transaction and a reversal was made.

I begged the teacher lady to take 10% of it as my appreciation but she declined.

I was so surprised I started having faith in Nigeria again.

This was in 2008.

Things have really changed now

1.have done ussd top up to a wrong number, placed 5 instead of 9 as d last digit n one old woman get d 1k card instead of my banny n d tin pain me die..

I gat do another top up to bea n dis time I was more careful n used tootpick to count n confirm d numbers..
2..a man credited me with 200k by mistake n was calling n begging me to refund, I jokingly told him dt av already use half n he said I send d other half, I sent him the whole 200k n he was shocked, he called n invited me over for dinner n gave me 50k cash as compensation..
note it happened 2013 when naija still better n i was financially Owkay n I doubt if I would do such doing this hard buhari regime, maybe I'll bargain n get my own cut n send d rest..

I beg how did you get the court order coz a lawyer wanted to charge me 60k for a court order ... I was told the same thing.... I mistakenly transfer 14800 to a gtb account number that have been added to my mobile app since 2018....i still can't remember that person. I have gone to the bank and they told me it's either I get a court order as they can't contact the account holder.... Note I transfer from gtb to gtb. It was a mistake as I didn't check the name on my Beneficiary's list well.

Mine was very painful..I wanted to send money to my other account. I was gusting and mistakenly sent to another account.

The bank told me they couldn't do anything about it. However , I was given the contact of the person. I called her she kept dribbling me to no avail.

All those who said they mistakenly transfer money is a fat lie, because after u input Ur account it will still show u d person's name.
That's not a mistake anymore unless u are drunk, but airtime is very possible just one mistake in d numbers then boom!
