Preliminary investigations have shown there is a considerable population of Igbo people in Sagbama LGA of Bayelsa state namely the Osekwenike, Abuetor, Okpokri. While many know of this there are indications Igbos are to be found beyond this three communities.

We must therefore collectively invest our energies to seek out this children of God indigenously found across this state, and bring them back into the fold. Udo.

See list of Languages spoken in Bayelsa.
In Yenegoa LGA , certain villages speak Ekpeye, which is an Igboid language.
So yes! There are Igbo speaking people in Bayelsa state and they are Ekpeye people.

If we get a real well funded pan Igbo nationalism movement that can return Ekepye to the fold, we will reclaim our territories in Bayelsa.
And mind you in the past, the Edoid people like Epie and Attissa people aligned alot with Igbos in Eastern region than with Izons.

If Eastern region was split by a referendum and not a military fiat, those groups would have pitched their tents with Igbos as against Izons. cool

Finally, it's a breath of fresh air to see IPOB Multiethnic Babelian Biafra die a natural death and in it's place is an aggressive Igbo nationalistic movement gathering steam.

So refreshing. I have always waited for this day.

If you surgically strip out all the non ijaw groups that make up bayelsa state, you will be shocked how much little land would be left for the ijaws.

Bayelsa state is a politically motivated artificially created state that has no strong bearing on ethnicity

That's no surprise my people were said to have had links and established traders all the from the confluence down to the ocean so i'm not surprised that we have links with those in Bayelsa State this is good news if we can continue uniting all the Igbo speaking groups it will give us more power in politics and election and hopefully one day we can include a clause in the constitution for democratic secession through a referendum but for now let's focus on Igbo Unity then Southern Unity ( With those who are willling )

Seriously, some Igbos here just like to bring disgrace by trying to make it seem the great Igbo race are forcefully attaching themselves to minority tribes. You guy keep giving these minorities room to insult Igbos because of your useless attachee by force threads.

Some of you really have to get serious job in life.

Allow the minorities to speak themselves and be the boss

I just hope this online attitude is not being reflected in physical.

Most of you Igbos keep giving Igbos bad name

If Buhari appoints someone from that village, the OP will create another post as to why these people he claims are Igbo are not Igbos

Seriously, how does that concern anyone if they themselves haven't come out to lay this claim? Are you Igbo from bayelsa?

You Igbos need to stop this nonsense.

Everyday you keep opening one thread about Igbos are here and Igbos are there.

I haven't heard anywhere in physical where such arguments are made, except here on nairaland, Facebook and other social media where you Igbos publicly try to ridicule the great Igbos. If those Igbos in SS haven't com out to identify where they belong, please allow them be.

Stop all these attachees.

There are bigger issues to tackle in the south east. You Igbos keep killing businesses in the east by attacking everyone and every businesses. How do you expect people to take you serious.

Don't be stupid.
You can't care more about Ndiigbo than Igbos themselves.
Face your group and let Ndiigbo be.

There has never really been a truly aggressive Igbo nationalistic group in Igboland since Igbo state union was killed by Ironsi in 1966.
Ohanaeze has been more like a political jamboree group of old senile old men out for Ghana must go bags from politicians.
IPOB is a confused group that is actually anti Igbo.

When we finally evolve a truly Igbo nationalistic movement that will put the interest of all involved clans as Paramount objective, all Igbo speaking groups will willingly come and bend the knee.
Because language and culture is and will always be a strong pulling force.

Chibudom Nwuche is an Ekepye top Politician who has continually identified with his Igbo identity.

Problem is that SE has been derailed by Utopian Biafra with minorities for too long that we have failed to work on Igbo nationalism by actively and deliberately politically uniting all Igbo speaking people while "binning" the minorities for now. cool

igbos are not trying to force any minority tribe..we are simply trying to unite our Igbo brother that were separated from us by the Nigerian government...

China despite their strength, population, and land mass couldn't let go of Taiwan and Hong Kong, does that also make them attachee by force or land grabbers??

I never wanted a Biafra nation that involve multiple ethnic nationality, but I stand with the unification of the Igbo race not minding your location...

Since Ijaws has the effontry to look Igbos in the eyes to say Opobo, Ndoki, Bonny, Obigbo, Afam are Ijaw, we will show you guys where you come from, and your true size.

Bayelsa will be so ripped that what will be remained of a truly Ijaw enclave, will be so inconsequential that you will be so terrified to engage Urhobo in a fight.

We will so rip you upon that you will be scattered and never gathered again.

Ijaw has pushed their luck too far by trying to grab Igboland.

What remains is to dump the name Biafra cos we hinterland Igbos can't be bearing a name given by Protuguese sailors.
