So we can all agree it is OK for Tinubu mad his cousin to own company abroad now. Not that is when peter Obi n Oyedepo that your ruke applies but when they mention Tinubu you want him jailed.

coolWen has OWNING BUSINESS, ever been a crime anywhere in this world? Fund source and business activity is the issue. BVI is a lucrative business hub for many reasons, not only tax. Many tax offense in America is not even an offense in Nigeria and how many tax offense in Nigeria is prosecuted? Is it not dumb for anyone to setup business abroad to evade Nigeria tax? grin

Oga let us do our Media trial, we know Nigeria court is not competent, the rich get away with anything so media trial is all we have.

Besides we have be using the Media trial on celebrities too, I didn't see u complaining.

If we continue media trial without commensurate court trials for perceived offenders, we may be unwittingly destroying the court and the society at large. How about we insist that everyone mentioned in the Padora leak be dragged to court and not just the media?

It could be anyone's turn tomorrow.
I rest.

My pastor? Perhaps the problem with Nigeria is that her citizens make judgements on mere assumptions.

I repeat that anyone who has broken the laws should be dragged to the court and not just media trial.

'Your pastor' should be doing time in jail for tax invasion .
Google tax laws in Nigeria and see for yourself.

Individual - Taxes on personal income

Individuals resident in Nigeria are taxable on their worldwide income.

The principal basis of liability to tax under the PIT Act is residency. A person is considered resident if one is physically in Nigeria for at least 183 days (including leave and temporary absence) in any 12-month period or serves as a diplomat or diplomatic agent of Nigeria abroad.

"Seek Christ first and every other thing (Money, properties) will be added onto it"

Many of these Pastors started humbly from nothing, they were preaching the gospel of Christ when there was no monetary gain, after winning souls for Christ, God is adding other things which he promised to add and this is why their blessings keep on increasing and their coast is being enlarged.

So whoever is reading this "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need" Matthew 6:33

I am not even a born again and in most cases I will be the one to criticize Pastor but I now know better
Anybody who serves God wholeheartedly can never be poor. Try it and you will see it. No be film trick oo

Many nigerians don't understand anything. When money goes outside your shore without adding value your Nara goes down. When you hear about Panama companies, most time they do nothing there. They just move billions outside Nigeria and devalue your naira. They should all be sent to jail if our leaders are reasonable.

Is there anything wrong in Nigerians owing companies abroad?

What law(s) have they broken in simple terms?

If there is/are, then drag them to court immediately and not the media.

Now that the laws broken have been identified, can we now insist that they be dragged to court?
Isn't that how to build an egalitarian society when we insist that perceived offenders have their days in court and not just on the pages of newspaper.

So if you think they are some kind of which hunting team set up by Nigerian government to discredit your holy Peter obi, then you better have a rethink and smell the coffee
grin The Pandora people were only interested in BVI business under the guise that all such business are setup as tax evading schemes. grin They shud have excluded Nigerian businesses in dat, cos our tax laws and enforcements are not rigid enough to cos peeps to run to BVI

Jesus also said to d rich man sell all ur properties /wealth and follow me. He went ahead in the same passage "it is easier for a camel to pass the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
Being a true Christian isn't meant to be easy. Matthew 6:33 talks about heavenly wealth and eternal life not wealth on earth

He even intentionally misinterpreted the quotation. It refers to NEEDS not stupendous wealth!

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

You can be wealthy, cool. Just don't mangle the bible

You are absolutely right.

Even if the man is bisexual, shown on camera to carry out child sacrifice and known to have used a different name to defraud a bank, his congregation would come to his defence.

what is fraud here? So you cannot own an offshore company, right?

It is fraud. Those companies only exist on paper, the sole purpose of their existence is to help its owners escape paying taxes from their earnings.

But the motive is simply to keep money offshore where no laws would prevent access or taxes.
