Charcoal isn't petrol bro .. They don't catch fire like that.. You have to heat them up before they turn red hot meaning they can withstand high temperature before burning...

Secondly, they will be placed at strategic areas in the car and of course I don't expect anyone to put them on the engine ( it won't even stay on the engine) .

Buy charcoal and place it at strategic points in the car. Rats can smell the charcoal and will be fooled into thinking that the place is burning.

They will not return. I had a similar issue last year while in Nigeria. I saw a post here and did the same thing.

I have to washed the engine each morning to remove

You never seize to amaze me. What of me that allowed them to stay in my house yet what did I get ? They kept eating my leftovers and at the end they will mess my house with their shit....I kept on fumigating but he refuse to go...he even threaten to chase me out of my house with his annoying behaviour. Last week I saw him doing jangolover on the dstv cable ...I begin to wonder if this one is a witch . Anyways his days are now numbered cos I am planning to buy a cat ...i am tired of poisoning him with out sucess .

Wash ur car engine and remove every stuff they packed in the engine . Start very often to heat up and possibly change ur packing location .

indocid has been doing wonders since time immemorial, just buy fish and mix it the only disadvantage is they can come and die in your room . They will never die where they ate it

Yes, they eat wires anyhow. It happened to me back then but I had to buy rat poison and placed it in strategic places around my engine housing. The rats ate the poison and one after the other they got wiped out. The poison even killed agamma lizards that found their way to my car's engine.

Always warm the engine of the car, move the car it will make the rats to run away
