MadamVanessa:stop decieving yourself Christians and muslims are both hypocrites and both useless religions to humanity. You just fighting for your own useless religion. Christians cry out when they are not given privileges they think they deserve, you guys are not about fairness, but you want to suppress every other religion just like the muslims too. The evils from your religions is the reason why the world is in such a mess today 3 Likes 1 Share |

The whole quotes in the Bible are my favourite. O, how I wish I can recite the whole Bible off hand. But let me just share this. Matthew 6 25. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 31. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. 3 Likes |

HardMirror:And what business of yours is it if I really read my Bible or not?? Afterall this same bible ya'll are quoting was written by a human being like me and it was also written in PARABLES So I purposely said that to see what people like you would say ALWAYS out here to criticize others yet people like you are the devil itself!!! People like you are the reasons why I don't let all this end time so called pastors and prophets preach to me!!! Bunch of "holier than thou" set of people So why all this unnecessary "it's would have being better to keep quiet" drama Very childish I'll say 1 Like |

dazzlingd: I don't brag to know all but again I will gladly say, it is good that you quote these verses to show that only one who is a Christian should understand these things. Let me educate you with my little knowledge, and do not see it from the lense of debate, except you willingly quoted the verse and not out of ignorance. In the book of Numbers 31:17-18, it was not God who was talking to them but Moses. Now, the mediatnites women had seduced the men if Israel to sin against God and the men were killed by God himself. Later on, God ordered for the median medianites to be killed but the people killed the men and left the women and children (as it was the rule of war then to not kill men and women). When they came back to were they camped (not yet Canaan), Moses confronted them with words from passages before the ones you quoted. He then asked them to kill both women and children (who seduced the men into sin), but the virgins should be left and whoever will marry, can marry any of them. "Keep them for yourselves " does not mean make fun of them or they are sex slaves. They can't marry because the men have been killed, and they can't be alone because another city may attack them or ill treat them. So it was adviced by Moses to keep them among the Israelites and whoever desire to marry any of them, will have to undergo the normal marriage rites. About Ezekiel, the passage was never about a woman. Read from verse 1-4 and you will understand better. There is what we call Metaphorical language in the Bible. For instance, if I want to describe a man of wisdom, I can use Grey hair to depict wisdom. The passage you quoted was about Oholibah (Jerusalem), the younger sister of Oholah (Samaria) who delve to prostitution and even chose the way of Egyptians and live comfortably with immorality. God was speaking a warning to her by first describing her evil acts of lust and prostitution in that passage (Descriptive language as it is called in Theology). It was not a prescriptive language (God asking one to do).... Hope you read, God bless your day sir 1 Like |

dazzlingd:let's analyse the scriptures you posted above. You need to always read the full chapter or the full story to understand the event. Not just quote a verse or two to draw conclusions. For Ezekiel 23:20 , go to verse 1 and start reading from there. You will see that the Lord God himself was talking and He did say it was a symbolism of Jerusalem and sameria. Let me quote 23 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, there were two women, daughters of the same mother. 3 They became prostitutes in Egypt, engaging in prostitution from their youth. In that land their breasts were fondled and their virgin bosoms caressed. 4 The older was named Oholah, and her sister was Oholibah. They were mine and gave birth to sons and daughters. Oholah is Samaria, and Oholibah is Jerusalem This should shed more light. For Numbers 31:17-18 the second scripture you posted, note that God was executing vengeance on that land. It's good to read from the begining of the chapter to get a clearer picture not single out a few verses. Let me quote some part of that chapter to shed more light 31. Vs 1 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites. After that, you will be gathered to your people .” Let's scroll down to the verse you quoted let's read the full picture 14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who returned from the battle. 15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man . I hope this makes it clearer. Always read the full picture to understand the story. A little piece dose not say the full story. @Alajiki |

SandraIkuboR:*smiles* try and read your bible madam and stop fighting the truth. I discovered most of you call yourselves Christians and dont even know what makes you one. Stop throwing tantrums. I am an atheist, I dont believe any god exist, but it is painful to see people claiming to believe something and they dont even study what they believe. It is this problem you have that makes you talk like jezebel but would claim to be a Christian. Why are you decieving yourself? |
