Last I checked, there were not thousands and thousands of citizens trying to flee from here or the UK but I can’t say the same for Russia.

In war, everything adjusts. What is paramount is the food sector. Ukraine with territorial diminution and destruction may be operating from without. Foreign currencies may not be needed, the rubles may do very well for domestic commerce. Russia may not need cash transfer to do her bidding. Transboundary operations are never free even in peace time. Nature abhors vacuum; supplies will transcend boundaries. Even the morbidity and mortality rates may not deter the NATO-Russia war from playing out as necessary.
