Buhari kicked against it because the constitution already spelled that political appointees who wish to contest election should resign a month to the election . But Femi and Co rewrote it that they can’t even partake in party conventions and can’t contest unless they resign . We all know conventions takes place months before elections.
Seeing the plot by Tinubu , Malami and co who had interest challenged the Act and won . Immediately they deleted it .
Though it’s a bad precedence, because the legislature make law , Judiciary interpret it .
