I may not like the Ekweremadus or hate them, however I think they did the right thing by stating the purpose of the VISA to UK.
The boy is actually 21 and not 15 as he claimed.

The only problem is if the Ekweremadus did not sign a legal agreement with the boy. If there isn't a legal agreement, we can suspect fraud on their part as they will never part with their money for a land with no documentation.

Parents will do anything for their children and one cannot blame the Ekweremadus. At the same time, poverty is not a crime and thus the life of David should be guaranteed by a legal document.

The boy wanted to Japa at all cost: I don't know if this was part of the design acting out.

Is it a kind of deal I could take if I was in the boy's position? Most likely yes!
An agreement is an agreement:I hope the Ekweremadus got a lawyer for the boy to document his rights before and after the surgery.

Nothing will happen to the boy, infact his life just took a new twist for the better. He will seek Asylum there and will be granted cos the British government knows his life will be at risk from Ekweremadus and allies if returned to Nigeria.

Ekweremadu and wife with their level of education and exposure were just stupid not to have carried out compatibility test here in Nigeria before flying the boy abroad.

What do you mean everything was done discretely?? They found someone that agreed to donate at a fee, they paid him, he was well taken care of, all documentation done legally and he entered through the right channel...said individual decided to be wicked and take advantage of the situation, instead of some of you calling it what it is, ur speaking English...you guys should try and be honest for once in your lives for heaven's sake.

Nobody ask for donors openly, what people ask for is money and Ekweremadu have the needed money, what they needed to do was to look for donor and negotiate with him which they did.

I may not be the fan of the senator , but let's be honest with the whole thing, was the guy aware from the onset that he will donate one of his kidney? I think the answer is yes. If the guy later change his mind which is not out of this world , he should have come out plane and tell them sorry I can't do it again instead of trying to ruin the family.

If he is looking for all means to travel out he might have implicate himself because if he is found guilty he may not be able to enter that country again

He thinks he is helping Ekweremmadu, but he is even sabotaging his case.

Frankly, assuming that Ekweremmadu played the boy and his family tape on the deal (pending for sure if paying an organ donor is legal in U.K, it is illegal in the U.S)
folks are hugely upset that Ekweremmadu didn't do much in anything to Improve the infrastructure here in Nigeria.

He has occupied juicy positions in the senate , he has been in the corridors of power since 1999 but look at our infrastructures here in Nigeria. His kids schooled abroad while ASUU since when? It is hard to see anyone that graduated from a Nigerian public university that didn't experience some sort of strike.

Folks are just angry , upset about the neglect of the common man by the politicians while masses are suffering, they are enjoying, using the common man as a sacrificial lamb so there own family can live and enjoy the good life.

There is an issue of culture and orientation. In Nigeria we find ourselves in a place where anything goes and nothing shocks us anymore.So the idea of paying somebody for their organs is not shocking for us in fact the boy is a villain for daring to renege on what many see as a normal agreement.

The problem is there is a different culture and orientation in the UK base on a practice or striving for social equality and as such the idea of paying for organs is abhorrent. Why would anyone do this if not for desperation. Their vision of their country is that no one should be that desperate whereas for us in Nigeria it is normal

Yea, because Ekweremadu himself has no kidney. His wife has no kidney. Their other children whose photo just appeared on Nairaland earlier today, none of them has a kidney. Their entire extended family had not a single person that could have donated a kidney.

They could also quite easily have solved their problem by making a simple public appeal for a donor. But they had to hide it from the public as only Nigerian politicians do and look for the first weak, powerless and vulnerable person they could find.

Ekweremadu and his wife are in this mess because deep down they believed they were outsmarting and victimizing that young man they hired, only for the tables to turn so violently. Now the likes of this dodgy FFK are helping them play the victim, shedding public crocodile tears. Even if they end up not being tried or convicted, it's already in the file as another instance of a Nigerian politician caught by his wickedness and narcissism.

The Act partly reads: “Under S. 2, an individual commits an offence if they arrange or facilitate the travel of another with a view to that person being exploited. It is irrelevant whether that person consents to the travel, or whether they are a child or an adult.

Not true . I really do not know how you know what their stated address is .

The fact of the matter is they appeared before a Magistrate Court charged with offences that cannot be tried at the level of Magistrate Court.
It needs to be heard at the level of CROWN COURT( High Court) >
A magistrate does not have the authority to grant bail in such cases

The question for me is this

Can anybody talk to anybody (hopefully not a minor) to donate their organ, pay them off and it will be considered legal? So any Nigerian could have asked John directly to donate his kidneys and the law won't find any fault in such arrangements?

The money that should have been used to build proper hospitals, build an economy and create wealth.......

The greedy political class pocket it all, forgetting the services they allowed to rot, might later be needed!!!!!!

David witnessed how a country should be, electricity 24/7, good roads, good schools, enough employment etc etc etc, the thought of sending him back to that shithole, was never going to be an option.......
