You can rationalize whatever you want. I posted a list by Thisday, a reputable Nigerian newspaper. Most of the people on their highest paid CEO list are Europeans or Asians. Added to that, on a more pedestrian level, my observation at Nigerian Airports is that Europeans or Asians are accorded better privileges than Nigerians. You yourself must know that is true.

Keep justifying nonsense, this sort of inverted thinking is EXACTLY why Nigeria is and will remain what it is for a loooong time to come, a poverty stricken hell hole. Enjoy your riches in Nigeria. Like you guys always say, it is well.

I hear you man. Years ago I was forced to get out of our car because a traffic accident had just occurred blocking both lanes of the Lagos Expressway. I was on the shoulder of the blacktop and not on the road when a car took to the shoulder and hit me square in that back at 20 mph. Perhaps my weight lifter's muscularity at the time saved me but I was catapulted into the air, before breaking the car's front window and landing on the ground where all I saw was white fog that seemed to take forever to clear, before recovering with no lasting damage.

You broke the same cardinal rule that I did by stopping and disembarking anywhere along that highway, and by pure luck, I survived as did you many years later under identical circumstances. The bottom line is to avoid stopping along any Nigerian highway UNLESS your vehicle is disabled. The instant you disembark your vehicle alongside the expressway the background noise reduces your ability to hear approaching cars until it is simply too late to duck out of the way.

Finally, on the subject of bikes, I appeal on behalf of your loved ones that you hang up that helmet and stop riding a motorcycle on Nigerian roads for good, and if possible even on American roads. The odds of sustaining serious life-changing injuries rise dramatically if one is on a motorcycle as opposed to being belted in a car, in the event of a crash or tire blowout. You are an esteemed member of the Wabenzi Tribe, and now you must comport yourself accordingly by driving ONLY dat Benz, Ogawa Egun Agbalagba.

In 2017 I had the privilege of visiting the river-front house of a CEO with national responsibilities and global influence resident in Canada, and noted that there was NO house help of any sort in or outside his modest middle-class suburban residence. The CEO cooked his own meals and occasionally his wife shared that duty. This is the only truly wealthy man I have the privilege of knowing and visiting outside Nigeria, and it was there I arrived at the conclusion that outside of Hollywood, it is unusual for even the wealthy to hire chefs or full-time cleaners.

In Nigeria, a corporate head of similar status would have a battalion of personal employees at his beck and call. The understated humility of the Canadians in general was a revelation to me. During that same visit to Canada, while walking along the street passing Ottawa's Houses of Parliament, my host stopped to introduce me to a well-dressed pedestrian hurrying past at a brisk walk, alone.

After the sharply-suited man had walked off unaccompanied by anyone, my host stunned me by informing me I had just shaken hands with Canada's Minister of Finance, a billionaire in his own right before assuming office. Even after many years living in America, I experienced culture shock that day, realizing that this man who walked ALONE down a street of his capital city, with NO entourage in sight, was none other than the nation's freaking Minister of Finance.

Many years ago I worked in downtown Raleigh, the capital city of NC, USA. That was when Mike Easley was attorney general and later Governor. I used to see him walking around to restaurants and the post office and maybe other places, without any escorts whatsoever, sometimes with a few people who were obviously friends or colleagues. No police in sight or maybe they were hidden somewhere?

Sure that can't happen with the President of the USA and perhaps not with his Cabinet members. The USA has too much at stake to risk that, but North Carolina may have a bigger GDP than Nigeria for all I know. grin

Ok I checked out their website and it’s awesome what they’re doing.

The founder does not look like Tinubu however, don’t tell me he’s trying to pass the lady in question’s picture as his too??

This has nothing to do with Tinubu or his potential presidency, it’s a charity operated organisation that was created after a fatal incident within her family in Nigeria.

The rich is Nigeria don’t even know how to enjoy their wealth. Mostly liqour, women and status activities.

What happens to exploring the globe in a yatch?
What happens to traveling and learning other cultures?

What exactly is the enjoyment?

They're simply following Nollywood movies template of 'enjoyment'.

Once a young man come across some cash, he start womanizing, clubbing, smoking, drinking, bragging & oppressing others sad

Those movies follow this same storyline, nothing different.

In my village when in Nigeria I ride my motorbike daily, BUT the speed is never faster than FIVE miles per hour because I ONLY ever ride on dirt roads leading to my hunting forest or passing through desolate farmland. I never encounter a single car on those bush roads, and thus have a decent level of confidence that even if I should fall, there will be no impact at the very slow speed that I normally ride.

I would encourage Egun Agbalagba to ride a motorcycle ONLY if it will be on a dirt road with no cars, and at a very low speed. The instant a motorcycle starts mingling with 2-tonne cars on any road at normal highway speeds, the stakes go way up. In conclusion, I am delighted to hear from Egun Mogaji that his power bike riding days are over at least while he is on Nigeria's unforgiving roadways. I am certain the man's loved ones will also be relieved to see him traveling by car rather than on that power bike whenever he heads out on the road.

the southern kaduna ,benue and jos issue has been brewing for over 30 years and now climaxing along the flaut line. THE MUSLIM NORTH MEETS THE CHRISTIAN NORTH THE HEADER MEET THE FAMER

.the politician have exploited this defects .it beyond sending soilders .now terrorists and bandits are also exploiting the crisis. Most of the attack in southern kaduna is a tit for tat cycle .the fulani communities are also victims ( unreported ) .NB Fulanis are now a Major source of volient criminal gangs in Nigeria. The army is not well paid or funded to perform Magic .imagine paying a copral 55k per month to guard a crude pipeline in Niger delta moving 5 m USD crude per day .

i

Such under acknowdged points.

May fulani themselves have come under attack from the so called Fulani herdsmen over the years but ignorance and biased reportage from the media point another picture to drive an agenda, this further weakens trust and leads to more Carnage.
