Tinubu did not win popular vote ,he got 8.8 million out of 23 million votes
Atiku and Obi got 13 million together
This in a country of supposedly 200million.
It is not a strong mandate when you consider how powerful the president is but it is what it is

Even if the mandate is switched to Obi or Atiku it would still be weak based on very low turnout.

All parties must accept the outcome of the court process.

There is no peaceful alternative.

The Gen Zs and others calling for military govt are daft and foolish. Those kids born in the 90s and 2000s... They lack wisdom so much.... Democracy allows for change of govt every 4 years but a military man can come and not leave power in 10 years. He ends up oppressing anyone that challenges him...

That will never happen in this country again.
Tinubu will do this first four years and if he still has move grace he will do another term.... Anyone who doesn't want it can go on exile or jump into the lagoon
The last military government lasted 16 years
I believe some people see this as a way of seceding

So should that be an excuse for someone to blatantly rig himself into power by subverting the will of the people in the name of this shambolic government we practicing? Truth is that military is way better because at least you know they're there with ill intentions unlike some deluded fellow saying we're practicing democracy where the will of the people don't reign supreme? A government that blatantly defies supreme court orders calls itself democratic? A government that rigs people into power says we're practicing democracy? Even military is way better than this sham. And I want them to take over. Let's know we're practicing a dictatorship rather than deceiving ourselves that we're practicing democracy!

And fyi, I've lived through military era so I'm not a so-called gen z. If this is what we call democracy then it's better the military take over

These Gen Z pikins who were born and started knowing their left from right when Obasanjo started wearing “Agbada” to rule Nigeria won’t understand what a military dictatorship is.

A simple analogy for them to understand, can they just imagine rtd General Muhammad Buhari ruling Nigeria with no opposition at all and having the absolute power to ban social media, kill anyone without trial, install sole administrators in each state and be whipped by security men on the road for not obeying rules and order.

People who witnessed Buhari’s military regime can testify to this.

An unconstitutional democratic government is same as a military government.

What is bad is bad and must not be allowed.

The constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria is supreme. It is above any person, advice or thoughts.

I believe there is a temporary point we can get to as a nation. Then we do the needful to ensure the right leadership according to constitution takes over.

What exactly is the unconstitutional government and please enlighten me on how military rule will equate to a democratic rule

Me hating on Tilumbu? My political affiliation or candidacy preference doesn't mean I should hate on other candidates and concerning military dictatorship I have always been an advocate even before now but unfortunately theirs nothing that ever work out positively in Nigeria just as you've rightly pointed out about the fulanis.

Give Nigeria an egg then watch them make it become a kernel, give them grains and watch them make it become sands. We have this habit of bastardizing everything offered to us and examples can be seen in our politicking, religion, socialism etc.
Nigeria needs a selfless leader who wont attach religion or ethnicity into his governance, we need someone who will be ready to step on toes so as to achieve the ultimate. We need someone like the late Jerry Rawlings.

That's ur own opinion,
So because you prefer an imperfect democracy that sees an individual wield more power than he ought to,
How much power should am infinitude have?
Is it him that said you should not wield your power?

Did he say you should be weak? And lazy?
and also turns the civilians into spineless individuals,
How did he town civilians into spineless individuals.
Na him say make you no get liver

that can't talk or even defend themselves cos of fear of arrest from the so called imperfect democratically elected (if actually they were elected or rigged in per say) selfish politicians.

and you foolishly think you can talk and defend yourself against the military

I say No, I rather stick to a perfect military regime that openly takes power and makes good use of it and favour the populace,

which military Regime has made good use of power.
anyway me I be soJa before So e pay me

I go fit deal with fools like you with no consequences

than forcing yourself on me as an elected democrat,
And you thin military will not force themselves on your dumb ass?

what's even the difference that you rigged urself into power knowing fully well that the people didn't vote you, and the same military grabbing the power to rule

You cannot rig where you're not popular
That's the difference

[quote]
