I won't engage you in long epistles just this. I used to have a large farm in one village called rubokia like 40km away from kuje. During raining seasons, only three forms of transportation can access those villages. 1. Legs. 2. Bikes. 3. Tricycles.
What should we do to our leaders then. The response is for them to fix the road, coming up with Ambulance is a sign of.....

Most of the villages have poor access so this tricyle is a brilliant and effective way to move the villagers through the rough terrains till it gets to a motorable access road or hospital. It will also be cheap to fuel and manage.
You should have asked the man to tell you what is inside. It is that extended part that is the unit. The tricycle is the mechanism to move the ambulance section
you are one hell of an ignorance boy. when it comes to health issue, you dont mannage. you produce the best equipment unless you are saying people living in the village there life does not matter.

Do not be naive. Hilux vehicles can not be appropriate for those places. One hilux can buy about 10 of those yet the hilux will be more difficult to maintain. For some far flung interior villages I have visited, this will work better. They barely have footpaths and it is by hand the villagers clear it wide enough for them to even trek to pass.
Many of you live on social media and are ignorant. A village with two to five of this can get help faster than one with just one hilux
idiot....foolish boy

Mr. Mediocre.

The question still stands.

The way some of you justify mediocrity is amazing. If the governor is in that village, will he use that "ambulance"?

Better than nothing commenters!

This is how we accept mediocrity!

Nepa Bill holder is better than GEJ… see us today

A Keke Napep ambulance is better than nothing?!… better to have nothing than a rickshaw ambulance unless you tell me the rickshaw is driven by trained paramedics and contains live-saving equipment (oxygen tanks, defribillator, first aid equipment )in the back such that they can quickly attend to a medical emergency … then this is something!

Else this is rubbish

I would have suggested they buy motorcycle ambulances like in other countries but that would usually need more personnel to operate. Considering the fact that we have fewer medical personnel available to be taken to the scenes of emergencies. It's not just about road access, smaller is usually faster.
Yes we need better roads but ambulances are never enough. Some country ambulances only respond to very serious and near death situation.
They won't even pick you up if you are going into labor.

I would like to see how operates though. What does it contain? is it operated by specialist equipped to provide first aid and stuff? Is the tricycle well equipped? A motorcycle ambulance would have looked more appealing though.

Woke boy, you are ignorant and do not live in a real world outside the social.media sir.

That is a brilliant idea to save lives. I have been to villages far flung with less than 50 adult villagers. This can be easily managed by these folks. All the ambulance you watch in films are not for those terrains and waiting for the villagers to get the level of knowledge and resources to get just one of them will not make sense. I am in a real life and know terrains that even those nice vehicles you see in films can not access or can get stuck. You can pack them somewhere and use this to quickly move through the rough terrains. Not every vllage , especially those with very low population, want the access big city roads you watch in films that will take away hectares of their farmlands they use as means of economic activity.

I will tell you again.

Having that keke is better than having nothing at all because I have worked where there is no form of vehicle to convey a patient.

Since you know nothing about that then keep doing what you know best ;"making noise "

Mr. Man, you people should stop supporting nonsense. Keke cannot go where cars cannot go. Kekes are less sturdy than cars. They lack traction because of their small tires. They lack torque because of their weak engines. And they are often light, top-heavy, and unstable, which makes them move all over the place in bad terrain. This one with the ambulance rear will be worse.

That said, people in those remote villages you mentioned never use kekes. They use bikes or cars. Why do you even think Nigerians never use keke as a form of personal transportation and use cars instead or buy bikes?

Even in Lagos. You see that kekes and elsewhere, you see that kekes only transport passengers on good roads though they may take diversions in case of holdups and all, but they stick to the good roads. If the road is bad, it's bikes and small buses (korope) that make the trips.

Honestly, we shouldn't just come here and criticised everything govt try to put out there, it might come with a good motive. You will find it amused that some of this tricycle are basically costly or at thesame value with the regular ambulance buses.
But I know this would only be used in a remote area where access to roads is not durable as we can all agree that this tricycle ambulance is not befitting a state medical affairs.

Can keke go where cars cannot go? Have you ever entered a keke and it took you through a bad road? Now, compare that with when you were in a car and it took you through the same bad road.

Imagine the gibberish you just typed as comment. Kai. True true Nigerians deserve the politicians they get.

Please,

1. Where will the victim/patient lay?

2. Where will the EMS officer stay to manage the patient/victim?

3. The terrain you are talking about, does it include swampy areas? If you have rode in a Keke on such roads, what does the keke rider tell you when he's unable to move?

4. What's the speed of a Keke as regards a very serious case?

You go fit run pass keke be that abi na bugahtti be ambulance abroad...

What's stopping these useless so-called leaders from constructing accessible roads in villages? People like you are one of the major problems of Nigeria, you will see black and call it white.

But you would not know what this is dedicated to per say. No sane govt would want to squeeze a human being inside that thing. What if it is proposed to only transport medical equipments and drugs into respective hospitals and clinics?. See, we are not in govt carcus and govt should also try as much as possible to justifies settings like this so that people don't get a wrong sense of it.

While I understand the point you are trying to make, you should understand that a tricycle is not built for a rough terrain. There are multi-purpose vehicles built for that. Can this tricycle pass through a muddy road without getting stuck? Except the roads are graded at least to allow for a smooth ride, using a tricycle on a rough terrain will just be putting a round peg in a square hole.
