it's difficult to understand the logic behind the decision of the supreme Court even though it was expected as a continuation of an existing standard,but then when a law is made it is supposed to have a general effect n whoever stand to suffer any loss by violation of such law should have a right to seek redress, nomination for vp is not usually a voting contest but purely the choice of the presidential candidate,so how can any other party member contest such nomination in court?I don't know if there's this kind of precedence anywhere else in the world or the supreme has just established a very bad standard,the supreme Court that should be the custodian of justice is really acting in very strange manner.

AA still wouldn't have won Southern Nigeria. I can't say for South Easterners, but most people share the tribal sentiments (Fulani to Fulani transition is DOA). Worst case scenario, the turnup in several southern states will be very low.

I believe the other pre-election matters can be looked into even though I don't believe any of them have merit.

1) Drug Case: Has been dismissed with prejudice by the U.S court already. Case long dead. Also, Tinubu was not under a fine for any criminal activity, rather the U.S have the right to seize accounts (where the account is under judgement and not necessarily the person) if they suspect foul play. There, Tinubu received money from a Nigerian politician Akande for them to open a business account in Lagos but no evidence Tinubu (who was in Lagos at the time in Mobil) knew about Akande's business in America. Hence U.S could only seize a certain amount according to their law and return the rest to Tinubu.

2) Conflict in School Certificate: Have been dismissed since 2003.

3) Perjury: Tinubu once had a diplomatic passport in Guinea and did not consider that good enough for him to say he once had the citizenship of Guinea. I see no real issue here.

So that's the summary of the pre-election matters left I believe.

I surmised a few weeks back that the so called ‘supreme court’ have already got their answer on ANY petition brought before them that has the possibility of denying their paymaster his ‘mandate’! All they have to do is work from answer to question! Same thing will play out in the main election petition tribunal!
