I don't think it is well.
Just look at how they painted Nigeria.
I hope the leadership of Nigeria see this and take steps to re-project a cleaner global image.
If nothing is done, Nigerians will be barred even from entering Ghana in the nearest future.

You're definitely not going to achieve that with a drug traff!cker as a president

When grace speaks for u, nothing is impossible.

I ve never been a religious freak or tied to any pastor..i m a normal daily sinner who loves God.

I applied my first even schengen visa with a bank statement showing i earn 30k naira a month. It was my honest earning, i didnt try to manipulate the statement.

My visa was approved, it was in kenya(transit) they tried to come between my grace because they queried how is it possible that the first stamp in my passport is schengen but God pass them. That was how i escaped Nigeria.

It was very rough at first but now i earn btw 1.2 to 1.4m monthly legit.

I feel bad when i see people abroad discouraging those in Nigeria not to leave. Its wickedness.

If u find your way...japa..its worth it, US,UK, Australia, Schengen regions.

May God bless you bro..

Well, it's sad to admit but that's what Nigerian citizenship attracts...doubt, suspicion, and rejection! And yet, some folks are still proud to be part of a useless and failed country that even the citizens of smaller countries with fewer resources deride. If you have had the pleasure of traveling outside the shores of that country, you'd understand the way holders of that gawd awful green passport are treated. These people, including the well-to-do, are subjected to all manner of inhumane treatment by immigration and border officials at entry points. But the irony of it all is that most do NOT make a connection between the ill-treatment meted out to them and the sorry and dilapidated state of their country. Nigeria with all its so-called human and natural resources has the worst reputation in Africa and the world in general. It's NOT getting any better.
Re: Why A Nigerian Was Denied Schengen Visa (Refusal Letter) by etrange: 2:23pm On Jul 30, 2023
Wow... they really did thier homework. The question to the OP is, are they right? Do you really have a flourishing company in Nigeria or did you just get a company registration for the visa? If you do, why didn't you submit thr company's asset details, the income statement or your CIP receipt? Are you really going to Sweden for the reason you stated in the application? If so, why didn't you submit supporting documents? I understand how this might be sad for you, but if the embassy is right in their assessment, then I'm sorry to say you might be a part of the problem. Applications like yours are the reason the genuine ones sometimes get rejected.

I'm not judging you. I'm just saying it for the sake of those blaming the government or calling out the embassy for painting Nigeria bad. The truth is, this is probably a great work on thier side. If all refusals came with this amount of detail, genuine applicants would at least know why thier applications were rejected.

Sorry.

The visa officer took it very personal. He/She has been waiting for this day, to justify to a great length why you will not get a schengen the visa. grin

Nigerians are to be blamed, always using dubious means. Now with a president of questionable character, our image is totally ruined.

Hmmm

It's even affecting lots of Nigerians applying for residency in many parts of Europe.
I have seen them doubt passports verifiably issued by Nigeria embassies in Europe.

They said while the passport may be genuine, the documents presented to get it issued "might be fake". Because the immigrant initially entered irregularly. They do not trust weak Nigerian institutions, home and abroad, to do a thorough job.

The European country's embassy in Nigeria sent staff to verify family in 9ja. That is another racket by the Nigerian staff they use.

Unless those Nigerian staff get enough bribe, they will submit to the embassy that they can't confirm that the family is genuine. Even after seeing childhood and teenage pictures of the immigrant taken with those family members, gone to their schools, interviewed old friends, etc. That way, the Nigerian staff may be sent several times to verify same person. More visits mean more money paid to them by the European embassy/consulate and more bribe because the applicant and family will become desperate.

It dragged on and on for years.

9ja don cast tey tey.
Really? This is epic, which country in Europe does this?
Re: Why A Nigerian Was Denied Schengen Visa (Refusal Letter) by pansophist(m): 2:41pm On Jul 30, 2023
But let me give you guys a trick, please don't tell anybody. Student visa is far more easier to get than a tourist visa, and the reason is this.

Schengen visa is based on the Regulation (EC) No 810/2009, and a key requirement to get a visa is to prove you'll return. Embassies judge this by your economical status back home.

Student visa don't have this requirement. So you can pick an almajiri from Sokoto, give him an admission and embassy will give him a visa. Students are seen as potential assets.

So if your true intention is to migrate, don't go as tourist. I personally think that western embassies have shadow banned Nigerians. So unless you are extremely successful in Nigeria, getting a visa is harder than entering heaven.

No.

Even if they confirm you are qualified, that visa might not be issued. Ask me why?

Go and read travel advisories of all the western Nations. It is either level 3 or level 4. Level 3 advises their citizens to only travel to Nigeria on ESSENTIAL travel while level 4 states that their citizens SHOULD NOT TRAVEL to Nigeria

This means that if you get to your destination country, despite having ties in Nigeria, you can apply for asylum and it will be valid since they know the danger in going back to Nigeria. No Nigerians have control over that in as much as we continue killing, kidnapping etc.

Western nations do not want unnecessary bagggages as they are facing their own economic downturn.

You are very right

Nigeria.

A country where the good time is in the past, and the worse time will be in the future. Nigeria is officially a nation where the population are now slaves.

In fact Nigerians lived better during the time of colonialism than now. Hence I've always maintained that colonialism didn't end, it just evolved

Nigerians are like children to an absentee father. They know they have a father, they bear his surname, but the father is more of a problem than solution to their life.

Well.. then, it wasn't anything to do with God or grace, you were honest, did the right thing, followed the correct process. That's all many nigerians had to do to obtain visa, rathee some of them tell lies, all a white man wants is for you to be honest and be trustworthy to them, something many nigerians lack.

Do you earn 1.4 millon in naira or dollars? Is it after tax or before? grin i am guessing you don't pay rent, mortgage, or bills. You don't even buy food.

Not only about our leaders alone, Nigeria media is also killing this country. Let us keep projecting bad bad views/news to outsiders and see how they'll continue to love us more. Nigeria is not bad as projected to the outsiders
I believe one day, we'll all have sense to speak out only good about this country. God bless FBN

Not only one country o but worse in one big country known to be very strict with immigration enforcement in EU.
Those racketeers know themselves.

Why our people turn virtually everything into corruption scheme is beyond me. shocked shocked
The saddest thing is that victims prefer to be silent to avoid suffering even more victimisation. Because at the end neither European countries nor 9ja govt will come to their aid when they protest. Even most Nairalanders here will say "what are they doing in that abroad sef, going to do slave, doing to wash old people nyansh, etc".

But maybe this renewed shege will make them see why people have been leaving all these years.
