First swap towards the right.
Second, position the tires along the two small spaces one tire on each and move towards left slightly
Thirdly, zoom straight and after you pass , return your hand and control.

For clarity, see picture attached.

At this point just try to make sure at least 3 tyres are save if you can swerve well.

If I got tubeless tyres then no qualms because as soon I try to maneuver through and it hits the tyres,with my tubeless it can carry me a long way on full speed before stopping.

O.P in a situation like this, when you get to the spot, just put off your headlights, throttle the vehicle as if you're zooming off, quietly come down from the car and quickly move away the one that's the main obstacle.
Watch out for either torch light or vehicle light, if you see any torch light, quickly take cover on the bush depending on the direction the light is coming from.
If you see no light, quickly move back to your car, central lock and zoom off.

Easier said than done.
But if your heart is at your back, be rest assured you're free.

You never know how its going to turn out for you until you are living the nightmare. Some posters here have given us detailed "engineering drawings" of how they'll go over the nail studded planks, veer off into the bush and back unto the road again, reverse without stopping, swerve right and left (at the same time!) etc.

You never know how it'll turn out. The goal (of those who set the planks) is to get you to stop the car - and everything is configured around this. For starters, some kidnappers/armed robbers would put the planks after the curve in the road where your headlights won't pick them up until its too late...while some kidnappers/armed robbers will place them exactly as shown in the picture in this thread. If your driving skills are top notch and you get past the planks at high speed, some armed robbers will turn their attentions elsewhere and wait for other victims...while some armed robbers will spray your fleeing vehicle with bullets - with the intention of killing everyone in it.

Few things will test your nerve more than staring down the barrel of a rifle or an automatic weapon on a dark lonely road, knowing that your life is literally in the hands of the person with his finger on the trigger. I know this because I passed through this and lived to tell the tale.

You never know how it'll turn out.

The problem with this is they might be waiting at the back cuz they know the first thing that will come to any driver's mind is reversing. So, they will stage at the back and also at the front waiting for their preys. In that case, you need to reverse very fast with full speed.

That's why its always advisable to use a very good tires. Like Mechelen, firestone, Dunlop etc. They can climb on those torns and nothing will happen to them, till you get to your destination.
