Yes you can lease too, Anyone that is convinient and affordable for you is better. You can even get land for free to cultivate in some rural areas if you are in SW, I don't know about other region if that's possible.

You can plant so many things such as ; beans, corn, yam, potatoes, guinea corn, grandnut, pepper, tomatoes etc , you can even specialize in plantain production all depends on your soil nature.

Everything I listed, even I don't need to tell you that they were all lucrative today as a Nigerian and the good thing is the market is not hard to come by , some buyers can even come to your farm to get it.

For the start , you can get like 1acre (8plots) depends on how much on ground though . With 1acre for the start , by next season you must have understood some certain things about farming and sweetness of it then, you will surely love to increase the tempo.

Ok, get a land, buy or rent. You don't even need to carry cutlass before you farm bro. Get people to do the work for you. Though the time is not now but you can get land ready pending the raining season. Study the land on what you can plant or have someone do that for you. Just start , honestly it's fun.

Tap into the blessings, go to farm yourself and stop complaining. Don't ever insinuate that not everyone can farm, everyone can go to farm,even if everyone are saying that, don't be one of them ,get land space either buy or rent, plant whatever you wish not necessarily to be yam, God has blessed us with great fertile land and guess what, if we all do that , that yam or other foods will go down, won't be that expensive.

I regretted been a little economical with farming , instead of cultivating 15acres space I have access to,I only did 4acres and when the harvest begin , I regretted that hugely but God's willing, next year we go higher and more🙏
