And yorubas always fall for it.

They will blackmail you emotionally untill they start to control you.

Their greatest weapons of manipulation are playing victim and calling you a tribalist to the extent that you will be looking for their validation and making attempts to please them in other not to be called a tribalist
Be as heartless as possible, they won't be able to enter you.

Optics. Change am to naira. Come divide am by subsidized dollar rates. You go shout "Thank you my creator for Jagaban" before you slap your mouth.
There's no difference between what Donald Trump is doing in America and what Tinubu is doing in Nigeria.
How do we resolve a balance of payments deficit in an economy?.
Way back an ss2 student will answer this question, but now even graduate may not be able to answer.
Balance of payments deficit is not like an ordinary malaria, that can be fixed with an OTC drugs.
It's actually a cancer, that will gradually eats and eventually kill the economy.
IMF warned the Buhari government in 1985, to remove all forms of subsidies, that people should be encouraged to grow instead of being spoonfed.
Over $400B within the first 30 years of Nigeria's independence, nothing to show for it.
Rather we've grown foreign tastes, foreign debts, and over bloated population of entitled lazy ignorants.
The only people I sympathized with are those born from the year 2000, anyone older than this needs to shut up.
They should have known better, that " Ile ti a ba fi ito mo, iri lo ma wo ".
Nigeria was doing better without crude oil, at least the country was working, until we started converting our factories into places of worship, so that we can cry out to God, to make us rich regardless of wether we merit it, or not.

Unfortunately Reno is now an errand boy for Tinubu seeking for financial resuscitation and political survival.
Atiku is ready to run for the President until he clock's 100 years old.

Atiku is not used to jogging, let him run.

Interesting watch
In the introduction of the 3 tribes the commentary noted the following.
Hausas: Steeped in tradition and suspicious of western ideas. Their forefathers, stronger than their neighbours, raided them severely and enslaved them.

Igbos: Eager to learn, sometimes willing to offer their services for free for the betterment of community. They are often used as administrators by the colonial governments.

Yorubas: Devastated by a brutal civil war where large communities were massacred and wiped out. Ibadan, is largest Negro city in Africa.

I'm still watching.......
Oh the same Ibadan that some nomads were calling brown roof today?.
Already a city in 1948?, wow.

What is the opposition to APC in Nigeria. Can't you see that Nigeria has become a one party country?? All the PDP members are just moving to APC daily.
Erin Keke l'abule baba Suwe.
The people wey dey play opposition in Nigeria has RONU and vowed since June 12, that they will NEVER play opposition in this country again.
They discovered that this country is not worth dieing for.
So if you can't beat them, just join them, the more the merrier.
And so gradually gravitate themselves to the sit of power, they are now in control brilliant.
And they were proven right as instead of a vibrant opposition, we have hate mongers and ship jumpers, who do not really understand the assignment and so, Nigeria is unofficially a one party state.
It was actually their dream just 12 years ago, so sad their wish is being granted when all odds are stacked against them.

The most viable option for the North now is Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Constitutionally, he has one more term and that can give the North the chance to get back to power in 2031. However, it will sure take a lot of convincing and strong political hard work to get him to contest. Still, you cannot rule out Tinubu's dexterity to flop this move.
Any move to make Obi the leading figure is dead on arrival. The North will prefer to take the risk of an Atiku ahead of Obi because take it or leave it, Atiku is a bigger force than Obi.

The more I read their posts, the more I realized that they haven't learned anything from Zik's coalition with the North and the consequences.
Neither have they learned anything from their 16 years of servitude to the North in PDP.
SE will need to grow APGA into a regional party, to stand a chance of producing a president in this country.
I told them this on this forum in 2011, when they were mocking ACN.
Mocking and jeering Tinubu and ACN, calling him a local champion of a regional party.
Let Igbos make APGA great first and the rest will fall into place.
If they are waiting for a Northerner of any shade, Igbos go wait tire.

Wonderful Yorubas like you are the reason I still have hope in Yoruba race. You guys always have sensible people among you speaking the truth, remain blessed.

Back to your topic, honestly I do get shocked most times observing how your people defend Tinubu's incompetence and failure as a President.

In less than one year, Tinubu turned Nigeria upside down, you need to be earning a minimum of 3million naira monthly to live a good life in Nigeria under Tinubu's regime yet many of your people defend him.

Igbos have never produced President since 1966, the closest time they had the chance to produce one amidst heavy political marginalization, they got robbed off that opportunity and yet my Yoruba brothers expect Igbos to be smiling and clapping for them and Tinubu instead of showing empathy for Igbos and instead of Tinubu to show some empathy and carry Igbos along, he rather chose to despise Igbos by all means and yet Yorubas expect Igbos not to react, they want Igbos to be happy and clapping for them, and I ask sincerely, if Yorubas are treated the way Igbos have been treated in Nigeria, dear Yorubas, please how would you feel?
Funny bunch, you guys had better sit up, what manner of bullshit is this?.

That Enugu governor no send Atiku or that Agulu fraud and neither does Oyo governor. In fact Wike has already chased Atiku out of PDP that's why Atiku is going up and down as he was doing in 2007 after Obj dealt with him before Tinubu saved him.
Had Tinubu not being in that 2023 contest, Atiku would have won the election.
That would have been a disgrace to Southern Nigeria, those who could have stopped Atiku from piking the presidential ticket were all southerners and they all sold out for money,

Dougad:
Among the three ardent fighters for Nigeria's independence in the '50s, Awo was indisputably the smartest. There is no room for contention in that regard as every student of Nigerian history will attest to its veracity. What, however, cannot be ignored is the fact that Awo, as brilliant as he was, spun the fibre of the contemporary unbridled tribalism that has become so intricately woven in every layer of the fabric of the Nigerian society, be it religion, politics, or even business.

His deliberate misrepresentation of the Western Premiership election as an ethnic battle rather than a clash of political ideals, where the contestant with the best ideal-constituent fit wins betrayed his highly coveted western education, portraying him as a man not at all dissimilar to thugs-turned-politicians ever so ready to fight dirty to achieve a political goal. His nefarious strategy worked so well that decades down the line, the average Nigerian still fails at placing policy as the highest priority when casting their vote. Our so-called founding fathers were blessed to occupy the unique position of steering the path of a soon-to-be Independent country to greatness, eschewing the backward tenets of tribalism that left them the biggest failures in the globe, but ultimately chose the sinister path that leads to doom like their fathers before them. Awo, being the smartest, surprised me even more by adorning a XXL clown costume.

Perhaps his failures to achieve his lofty political goals, evidenced by his constant adulation of George Washington and Winston Churchill, was a karmic response to the active role he played in ensuring that the future of his countrymen centuries down the line amounted to nothing.
Self preservation is not tribalism.
Awon saw into the future, he did great,
May the Lord rest his soul.

Buhari saw through the greed and uncontained lust for power and self-angrandisement. Events have proven Buhari right. Tinubu is now sending emissaries to beg Buhari in time for 2027. I thought Garba Shehu told them that Buhari would work for his re-election. This was well celebrated by the Agbadorians. What has changed? Barring rigging (which will be resisted), there is no pathway for his re-election.
Between a man who contested four good times and a man that contested once, who has an uncontained lust for power and self aggrandizement?.
