Our police lack civil training and humanright laws. The senior one are better understanding than those in the street, they are told only how to deny responsibilities at training centre.

Someone would say victim was dragging gun with the officer soon. They have forgotten that people were around and might record the incident.

This should serve a Clarion call to retrain our uniform men on how to manage civil issues and overlook some people misbehaviors, which are not relevant and inconsiquential.

I once had an accident while travelling... My car skidded off the road and went into the bush.... People who were driving past when the accident happened alerted policemen at the next police check point but the policemen didn't move to rescue or anything. Luckily I was unhurt and came out of my car, got a bike to take me to get a towing vehicle to take my accidents car to my destination. Only for myself and the towing vehicle to reach the police check point and be accosted that my car must be taken to the police station.... I was appalled and asked them how they knew where the accident occurred only for them to tell me that they got the information immediately the accident happened.... I was MAD MAD.... I had to call my uncle who was a senior police officer..... It was then they started apologizing for not coming to rescue me.... Cos my uncle actually said I should follow them to the station so he can get their full details for appropriate action.

Bottom line.... Avoid these guys whenever wherever however you can... They have absolutely no regard for human life

He should have followed them to station as long as he knows they are truly police officer not kidnapping. When they reach station, na to extort him and if he sabi oga at the top then a single phone call solve everything at station. If you are rich in Nigeria and don't have police escort that follow you around then it means you dnt value your life

We come here to celebrate western countries, the US, the UK..can you argue with the police in those countries? They will place you under immediate arrest and charge you for asaulting a law enforcement officer..or can even shoot and kill you in the US.

Our police may not be the best, but 2 wrongs does not make a right, the first rule of engaging with them is to obey and respect them, you are more likely to get home safely and on time that way.
