Yes they are murmuring quietly yet queuing for petrol at N140 a litre. |
Re: Occupy Nigeria: Updates From Across The Nation by Wisdomxy(m): 1:17pm On Jan 03, 2012 |
@Aminu2012 you should not expect Kano to be on fire when you surely know that hoodlums will turn it to free license to steal, kill and loot private properties and give chance to miscreants to unleash terror under the guise of fuel subsidy. No one is happy about the removal of the subsidy but we have to be careful how we handle it.I bought @145/litre this morning at one of service station in along Bompai road and it was not funny. |

Demdem:My South-South and Rivers people have nevered featured in struggle for the existence of Nigeria except when it concerns RESOURCE CONTROL and really it is no surprise knowing they are complaining yet are doing nothing about it! If Ken S. was from South West, His fight and struggle against injustice and corruption would not have been in vain! Where are the Asari Dokubo?, Where are they , |

First, I blame our fathers and mothers. Yes, if only they took the rights steps since the time of IBB by the way of protest, we would be having a good life (at least close to good) by now. Instead, they'd tell us to stay indoors and not be caught wanting by the government. Today, various imbeciles except the late President Yaradua have come in the form of President and Head of State of this so called great nation called Nigeria have continually increased prices of goods and services including our "curse" called OIL Is this the good life I was promised before I was brought into the world? I will defintiely not let my children come into this part of the world if these are how things will go unless I'm convinced. Forget NLC, forget TUC, forget any organised protesters under ANY body/union. They are there for their own "pocket". Check Channels Television and you'd see the heads of these Unions have been called for an indoor meeting. What have ASUU been able to achieve before I graduated? Instead, I was forced to spend over 1 year extra while in the University. What has the NLC ever achieved that has not been over turned presently? These people will be bought over and they'd be used to advise us wrongly. Is this what we want? Youths of this great nation, our teachers (even the Cadbury Bournvita advert) have always lied to us and it is high time we say NO! They said, "Chidlren are the leaders of tomorrow". How evident is that? How many young bloods represent us at the National level? How many? We are responsible for our lives, not the government hence we must take decisions via actions. Say NO to Oil Subsidy removel, Say NO to ethnic violence and religious bigotry, and say YES immediately and forcefully to improved healthcare, alternative and function transportation (not KEKE or Okada), good and improved roads, improved education (scholarships and grants for researches) and everything that we deem our rights, say YES to it. If you must remove subsidy, let us see what we benefit first as a nation and how expensive it is rather than let a "microscopic few" benefit its removal and enrich their unborn second generations. |

Among oil companies’ named by the committee, are: Oando Nigeria Plc; N228.506 billion; MRS; N224.818 billion; Enak Oil & Gas; N19.684 billion; Con Oil; N37.960 billion; Bovas & Co. Nig. Ltd; N5.685 billion and Obat N85 billion and AP; N104.5billion. Also listed were Folawiyo Oil; N113.3billion; IPMAN Investment Limited; N10.9billion; ACON, N24.1billion; Atio Oil, N64.4billion; AMP, N11.4billion; Honeywell, N12.2billion; Emac Oil, N19.2billion; D.Jones Oil, N14.8billion; Capital Oil, N22.4billion; AZ Oil, N18.613billion. Others are Eternal Oil, N5.57 billion; Dozil Oil, N3.375 billion; Fort Oil , N8.582 billion, while some construction companies were also on the list but the committee said since the commencement of the hearing, the construction firms shut down their web sites. Reginald Elijah, executive secretary of the PPPRA had told the committee that between 2006 and September 2011, a whopping N3.655 trillion was expended on fuel subsidies, the figures, which differed from the figures of N1.426 trillion submitted by the NNPC, as subsidies on the products, as at August 2011, but argued that the actual and correct figure was N1.348 trillion. the above are the people we should force to fix our refineries with a 90 day ultimatum |

Ibadan, ours was a success story dis morning. We took off as planned at Mokola roundabout by Tantalizers and matched slowly and peacefully. We were joined by students from D Polytechnic UI. We all had d honour of a senior police officer and her team escorting us to see the Governor at the Govt house. After initial resistance, some commisioners came out to address us bt we insisted on seeing d governor. He bowed to popular demand and later came out to listen to us, address us and take a letter containing our needs to be delivered to Jona dull. |

1st estees: More power to your elbow however the job is simply starting. we need to tell these suckers that we mean business. Tomorrow make sure u guys split ursef into 4 different strike groups. there is a need for us to start burning, especially federal structures and probably cabal's filling station. That letter may not get to the hands of the President, Abati will intercept it but serious burning and unavoidable killing of the men in black will get the attention of the president. Once again Kudos. |
