Sky sources understand Manchester United remain in talks to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid and they are increasingly confident a deal can be agreed.

United cannot talk to Morata and discuss personal terms until a fee has been agreed between the clubs.

Real Madrid value Morata at up to €90m (£78m). They bought him back from Juventus last summer using a €30m option.

"I would say Morata is a better fit than Lukaku for Chelsea. I think he is a better all-round footballer. Lukaku is a goalscorer and if you look at the stats, the running and the sprints are nowhere near in the same league as Costa.

Makalele went for 14.8m, Robben for 21m Euros, Sneijder for 11m. Among all only Robben has injury problem. And they are all around 25 years. Give me Bale for 20-25m I can take the gamble, but 85m for a 28year old British injury prone player is plain stupidity. Instead of bale I will rather gamble 25m on Douglas costa.

The best thing mourinho will do for me is to get me Fabinho and a very domineering striker that can finish very easily, allow Martial to flourish. Mikhi and Mata are better than James, get me a sharp winger and another world class central defender to help Rojo and Bailly.
