Quote: “and the myth that Rooney and Van Persie can’t play
together has been dispelled with both of them enjoying equal
freedom in the attacking third this year.”
So has that really worked for United? Has it increased goal scoring
compared to the likes of Man. City? When Rooney stops his greed
for goals, then he would earn the highest respect he even wouldn’t
have expected. Or better still, he should be striked, and a creative
midfielder like Kagawa should be played behind him,I am sure that will
be his desire. And that will cost RVP to sit.
If you can rate Wazza this high for working for his ‘MONEY’ and
expect the fans to go over head for his contributions which is much
expected to be his obligations, then I believe if you are to write
about Ronaldo who in humility is more or less like the club and
contributes at the highest level I can imagine, then you will compare
him (CR7) with Jesus Christ!
@RedSanStorm, Rooney is doing what is expected of him and
what he expected of his career. If he works harder and becomes an
icon, the record will be for himself and generation and not for the
fans. So that decision to use his talent to the highest potential should
be a choice.
And stop praising him like if he leaves United, then it will be the end
of/for United.
Gracias.

Agree 100% Cole. If Rooney was not greed with the ball, we
would have beaten Arsenal 2:0. Yes he is a good player but let
him remove that jealous for Rvp. If he can change then we can
win most of the remaining games. Why do your articles (writer
of this article) always point out Rooney’s positives but no
negatives? You are indeed one of the problems that Man United
is facing this season. NO PLAYER IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB.

If there are 65 problems wrong with Manchester United this
season, you, the writer of this article, you’re all of them. Think of a
better place to stick your tongue other than Wayne Rooney’s butt,
seeing as our almighty Moyes is doing a great job at that already.
Your article is annoying on all levels. I don’t even know where to lay
hands on. You apparently didn’t read the portion of SAF’s book
where he said Rooney didn’t put in an official request because of
financial reasons.
You also haven’t noticed that the reason why we are struggling this
season is 65percent as a result of Rooney’s selfishness and bitchy
attitude. Of course you’re too busy watching him run up and down
the pitch to even notice.
When it fully dawns on you that Wayne Rooney earns a million pounds
monthly, then just maybe then, you’d have a rethink on this whole
Rooney-United fans debacle

Exactly, cool million per month. Let’s not forget that he didn’t
say a single word to dispel the rumour about his desire to join
Chelsea.

5th in the table, 5 points behind Arsenal in November. Definitely ‘
struggling’. God, some United fans have had it too easy these last
20 odd years.

Rooney hasn’t signed a contract yet?? So we don’t know whether
he will stay. He is working hard and is putting in performances but if
he doesn’t put pen to paper soo it’ll be the same, only worse, all
over again next summer. I wouldn’t say it was fickle fans that
“turned” on him. As far as I remember most people werejust saying
if he does want to go (which nobody knew for sure) then it was
time to let him go and get good money for him. I for one love having a
fit and in form Rooney in the side….however, I’m not convinced he
has been fit and in form at the same time, for a couple of
seasons….barring the start of this one. People slating Rooney and
calling him greedy are ridiculous. He often looks for assists where
some people (RVP, Welbeck & Hernandez for sure) would shoot.
Of course you will find examples of occasions where he made the
wrong call and took a shot on himself but if he didn’t occasionally get
things wrong he wouldn’t be the player he is. If he was opting to
pass instead of shooting, half of the spectactular goals we’ve seen
him score over the years wouldn’t have been scored. Get a grip
people. The reality is, we are a squad of good – excellent players,
man for man we are weaker than City and Chelsea, but we’re a
team of winners. We aren’t even playing well at the moment, and
for me Moyes is making a lot of poor decisions. However, we’re 5
points of Arsenal and sitting pretty for what we’ve been worth. A
lot of football before New Years Day and if Moyes can get his
system sorted it’ll be an interesting 2014, which hopefully Rooney
will be an integral part of (and will have signed a new contract.

hes not kissing rooneys ass, he is just stating the fact, rooney is not
greedy, without rooney this season, united would have been gone, he
is the most important united player, if not you can sell him and use
welbeck and co, bring him to chelsea, we will treat him well with
love

Just wait until you see an inconsistent Rooney labouring around
ineffectively in the big games particularly in Europe and you’ll change
your tune. Rooney is the proverbial ‘good but not great’ player.
Rarely has their been a more over rated player in the last twenty
years in the Premiership. Can you honestly say that Rooney
compares with the best in his position in the history of English
football? Zola, Bergkamp, Cantona, Henri, Gazza,, Charlton, Hoodle….
to name but a few were ALL way better technically than Rooney
will ever be. Yes he has a good work rate, but that alone doesn’t
make him a great player. He simply hasn’t produced enough for either
UTD or England to be considered in that bracket. UTD would be a
better team without him as our ‘principal playmaker’.,

i think wayne rooney is doing well but if kagawa was the no 10, the
whole team would be playing better fluid football and rvp would be
scoring hat-tricks for fun.just a thought

Its a shame that the writer of this article decides to shy away from
obvious facts. Are you saying Fergie publicly lied against Rooney with
the whole world watching? That aside, where have you heard Messi
or Ronaldo getting applause for their “workrate”? Please, all that
headless chicken runaround doesn’t fool everyone bro, at least those
of us that ain’t English… Rooney’s best shot on this United team is to
play on the left side of attack if he really wants to help this team,
as simple as ABC… & if Fergie was still in charge, ‘England’s Golden
Boy’ would have either been playing somewhere in France or Turkey
this season, or rotting in the Man United researves

That was the baffling bit about it, the way he stated those things with such confidence. It was like he knew something we didn't know

We've been advocating this since the start of the season.
But no, myopic dullards like elampiro cannot be bothered to admit that it is probably true.
Shinji Kagawa should be given a run at the hole behind Robin van Persie.
Let's see how that pans out.
Unfortunately some people cannot see beyond Rooney and nothing else. Even when he offers us joint-stinking performances like the 62% pass completion vs Sociedad the other day. The same game where Kagawa delivered a fleeting cameo of his ability to create and make us dynamic in attack after the "God" Rooney was yanked off.

Incredible Ron! Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2013 In Numbers
By sn_admin cristiano-ronaldo-gallery-pixel-images_316485

The race for Ballon D’or is in full swing and Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be leading the race. If you are wondering why; here are Cristiano Ronaldo’s amazing stats for the 2013 calendar year.

66 Ronaldo has scored an incredible 66 goals for club and country in 2013. That includes 56 goals in 46 games for Real Madrid and 10 in nine for Portugal

8 The 28-year-old is the TOP SCORER in the Champions League this season with eight goals, one ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and two ahead of Lionel Messi.

1.20 Goals per game ratio for Ronaldo in 2013. And it gets better if you only look at this season. He has 31 goals in 21 appearances in 2013-14. That’s 1.48 goals per game.

16 The Portuguese is also the TOP SCORER in La Liga this season with 16 goals in 13 matches. He already has TWICE as many as Messi.

47 Ronaldo EQUALLED Pauleta’s national record of 47 goals for Portugal. The forward is closing in on Bobby Charlton and Thierry Henry’s records, but has a way to go before he catches Gerd Muller (68) and Pele (77).

5 Ronaldo has OUTSCORED the Premier League’s five biggest clubs in 2013. Liverpool (61), Man City (56), Arsenal (55), Man United (54) and Chelsea (54) have all scored fewer league goals this year than Ronaldo has scored in all competitions.

225 Since joining Real Madrid, Ronaldo has scored 225 goals in 216 games for the club. In just five years he has already become Madrid’s FIFTH HIGHEST SCORER and is closing in on Ferenc Puskas (242) in fourth.
