Talking about 2 world class players in each position, TAA was promoted from the academy, Shaqiri was bought from Stoke City for peanuts, Robertson was signed from relegated Hull City for peanuts, Widjnaldum from relegated Newcastle for peanuts, Joe Gomez is from their academy so what do you mean when you talk about world class players in each position? Those guys are mostly average to good players, only Salah, Allison, VDD came with a high profile. You can add Keita.

Your defence for the incompetence of Mourinho does not cut it. Pogba was glued to the bench, one of his most expensive signings, Fred was no where to be found, Lukaku is a shadow of himself, Bailly was named on the bench but only started cos Smalling picked up a toe injury which I suspect is down to fears rather than an actual injury. Sanchez even if fit hardly ever features, Lindelof can't be better than Tuanzebe who would have since made it to the first team had we had a progressive manager, Joe Gomez isn't Vetter than Tuanzebe.
Of Klopp's top signings, VVD started, Allison started as well as Keita.
Of Mourinho's top signings, Lukaku started, Pogba was benched, Fred was no where to be found, Bailly was scheduled to take his place on the bench yet you want the board to trust Mourinho with more funds? Like seriously?

Funding is never the problem from the initial start of Jose reign as a manager,the board has been doing their best for the club and the manager but cannot see any improvement yet from him. If this business is yours will you continue to pump more money without any significant improvement.
The players were acquired by him yet he gets fade up with each and every one of them within a short time,what does that tells you. Spurs didn't spend this amount yet they are playing good football, Liverpool didn't spend either etc.
I bet you that Mourinho will still not achieve any good result if given the best world eleven now.

Klopp and Liverpool are identifying players that are cheap and are able to play an attractive style of football while Mourinho has spent millions on millions on expensive flops who have all struggled or failed in one way or the other.

If we can't blame JM for the struggles of Pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez, Fred, Bailly, Lindelof e.t.c who should we blame?

We have a dead right wing and in the period Jose Mourinho has been here Liverpool has bought Salah for 37m and Xaqiri for 13m and JM is paying Sanchez a king's ransom to stunt the growth of Martial and stink up the LW.

Liverpool spent 52m on a pacy technical midfielder like Keita and we spent 50m on Fred who can't even get into the match day squad.

JM bought a suspect Bailly and corrected it by buying another suspect Lindelof but still wants to spend more money on CBs.

Robertson who was dealing with us last night cost 8m. Trent ALexander Arnold and Joe Gomez were from the youth team.

I can't really name any United player who has improved under JM apart from maybe Jesse Lingard. ALL the players with real talent have regressed, ALL OF THEM.

Why do you want Mourinho to stay, what with the trash he's served us since 2017?

Our squad is one of the laziest in the league. These players don't press for the ball nor seem to have any zeal to play for the club or the manager.

Mourinho has made a number of bad investments in terms of players he's brought in. (Or maybe is it that any good player find it hard to cope with his methods?) Bailly, Fred, Pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez. He bought these players but none of them are performing to expectations.

Is it logical to hand him another 200m to squander on moderate players and eventually turn them into Titus Brambles? If the performance is top notch I doubt the board would hesitate to buy him a new defender. The reality is that it just isn't.

This dude is leading the club nowhere, that's for sure. I'm not saying sack him now but his termination letter should be in the microwave. There are many things wrong with the club and Mourinho is one of them.
