For those who dont already know, ckenneths is a combination of my real name and the first letter in my surname, that is the username I was using 4-5 years ago when I was trading stocks in the Nigerian stock exchange as an investor/small time trader. Since I cannot finish sending my pictures this night and am not sure of being in town tomorrow, I decided to wake up the lost id and post these pictures with it. I will be using this username to post till my Spyder880 user name is restored maybe today or tomorrow. I am therefore begging lawyer to please unban Spyder880. Spyder880 is ckenneths and ckenneths is Spyder880. |

spyder880: My house, updates Your house is coming out well. For the down part of a duplex, is it advisable for somebody to do POP or PVC or just paint the decking?. The down part of my duplex project has the main sitting room, dinning, kitchen, store and an ensuite room on it and iam wondering whether to do a POP or PVC on or just to paint the decking or do a POP or PVC on the main sitting room and dinning areas and then paint the others. I have already decided that it will be PVC ceilings for the upper part. Comments and suggestions are welcomed from other gurus. |

@ NL1960, Its really a matter of choice, each of the 3 choices are good and will be pretty if well finished, your pocket will also play an important role in coming out with the best decision. (my 3 cedis worth) |

After 5 days of work, we have filled the foundation with blocks and are waiting for the carpenter to board the pillars so we can start casting the pillars, thereafter we can start filling up the foundation with sand. I dont think we can hit our target of 15 days to lift this work from first digging of the foundation till getting decking ready, but we are going to give it a very good try. More pictures of work progress later. |

After 5 days of action, this is what we have in the 6 bedroom duplex project in Owerri. The blocks are old and some have changed colour, they are also of irregular size from the mold, but that will not be an excuse for us to do a bad job, my work must be neat irrespective of how bad the blocks are.

Did you see the height we are giving this foundation, 5 blocks before the floor slab. The immediate implication of this high foundation is that you will need an additional quantity of filling sand to fill up the foundation before you do the floor slab. But yeah, better thing dey cost money
