And Lookmon too instead of trying to fancifully beat the keeper. Osimhen looks injured and should have been removed earlier but Lookmon kept on.

Chukweze should be avoided if they go past this level. He is out of touch and drags the team back instead of hastening the counterattacks.

I suspect the gentleman may have initially been a simp who later found out that most women who rejected him only did so because he wasn’t rich. So he probably set out to have any woman who had a price and documented their names for future reference and shaming.

Those with the their surnames listed are probably the ones who insisted on cash payments, hence he had to do a transfer to them. He will probably release their middle names if they try to deny.

This is rich coming from Amaechi after his tenure as minister, and the man he contested presidential primary against and lost just got affirmed by the Supreme Court. Bad optics coming for real!

ENDTIMEISNEAR:
Former transport minister, Rotimi Amaechi, has accused Nigerians of voting for corrupt politicians especially thieves and certificate forgers.

Amaechi disclosed this while speaking at a recent event in Lagos.

The former minister noted that Nigerians know the politicians with history of corruption but choose to support them regardless of their crimes.

“What is new to say, Nigerians don’t react to anything. Has any politician told you he is not a thief? Which politician told you he went to university, which politician told you she served in NYSC, and which politician told you he has his certificate? Nigerians know and still vote for them.”

The minister had accused President Bola Tinubu’s adviser and former Nigeria Ports Authority boss, Hadiza Bala Usman, of telling unquantifiable lies against him in her book.

Politics Nigeria recalls that Amaechi lost to Tinubu during the 2023 APC presidential primary election.

Importers prefer to use Lagos port because the market is already in Lagos.

What's the point of shipping your item through calabar port and still look for a way to bring them to Lagos market.

Not because of any nonsense or restrictions.
Lagos port for example can export crude oil, but would it make sense to take crude oil from south south and ship it through Lagos when there is port in portharcout and calabar?

Politics / Re: AGUIYI-IRONSI Decree 34 Abolishing Regionalism Sets Nigeria Back For 100 Years - by 9gerian: 10:15pm On Oct 21, 2023
Reno is right. The Western Region was a pacesetter in not just Nigeria but also Africa.

Azikiwe through his faulty discretion for whatever reasons ranging from greed, selfishness to clannishness prevented the only tool (Secession Clause in the Constitution) for check and balance that others with foresight wanted. All because he thought he could outsmart the Yorubas into leading their region or outdo the Northerners by playing second fiddle. He failed in both cases. After all, “charity begins at home” they say.

In similar fashion, another Igbo man, General Aguiyi Ironsi on assuming the position of Head of State promulgated decree 34 abolishing the regional system of government in spite of outright rejection of the policy from other regions especially the North. The North thereafter expedited their revenge on the first coup plotters and its beneficiaries (especially General Aguiyi Ironsi), and have continued to use the system created by Ironsi to their advantage. Who is to blame?

The lack of (1. accountability and (2. emotional intelligence by those Igbo leaders got us to where Nigeria is today: calling for restructuring and resource control. This also led to an avoidable civil war, since the Eastern Region could have seceded peacefully when it declared secession from Nigeria.

The worst hit by these twin misadventures by these Igbo leaders is the Western Region that had the edge having been led by a visionary (Awolowo) who ensured accountability, free education, free healthcare and rapid development, all of which were cut short/destroyed.

It appears the guy is trying frantically to be on the FG’s most wanted list so as to get asylum abroad but unfortunately he has been completely ignored (at least judging from available facts). So he continues to double down on the different persecution narratives to project danger on himself. It’s also possible that he is experiencing paranoia due to some of his deliberate anti tinubu’s government activities and reports, which is normal if he thinks he is stepping on big toes. Anything to help him get some sympathy from his audience is game.

The only problem is that he has all along been partisan, which projects him as a political mercenary as he revealed that Dokpesi hired him to find fault about a political opponent- Tinubu. This is bad optics for an investigative journalist who had initially been adjudged as a human rights activist that wanted change.

Bottom line is it’s all politics after all!

The police should should carry out extensive sting operations (in conjunction with sincere media organizations eg Sahara Reporters etc) to unearth all their links, networks and collaborators across the state and in fact Nigeria.

That’s the only way such evil can be stopped or reduced significantly. Working with credible news organizations is to prevent politicians at various levels from interfering.

Politics / Re: Neither Tinubu Nor Atiku Forged Credentials With INEC-Kperogi by 9gerian: 11:05am On Oct 14, 2023
The article is long but here is the major point raised:

People who have an emotional investment in the idea that Tinubu "forged" a diploma that he validly earned (which is ridiculously excessive legal literalism to begin with) leave out that context and make it seem as if the registrar's words are an inviolable article of faith and not a conditional, context-dependent response to a specific question about a specific photocopied document that doesn't reflect all the features of diplomas CSU issued in 1998 BECAUSE of photocopying.

This issue has demonstrated to me in starkly dramatic terms how partisan blinders can distort people's perception of reality. When people so badly want something to be true, but it turns out to be untrue, they choose to hang on to the most absurd apophenic hallucinations (i.e., seeing predetermined patterns from a chaos of unrelated phenomena) they can invoke to validate their preconceptions. I've studied and taught this phenomenon for years but had never seen it manifest on a mass scale like this.

Feintline:
There is no grammar to modify criminality.
Tinubu forged the certificate he tendered to inec.
CSU publicly denied the certificate tendered to inec. CSU boldly said it did not come from them.
Infact , tinubu not only engaged in forgery. His documents reveal identity theft, false informations like the so called government college, discrepancies in age, etc. So much criminalities.

Tinubu himself, in Chatham house before the election told the world that he has received his " replacement certificate" from CSU.
CSU under oath said , we did not issue him.

Any person trying to dilute or cover these criminalities is also a criminal.
Mr kperogi, I advice you keep quiet else we officially baptize you as a criminal accomplice.

Sounds good.

Item 1 should have an option of 6 month’s military service so that more citizens are prepped against bandits and terrorists attacks. Such people can then be easily drafted to special police or military if they choose.

Just a though.

Most developed worlds don't do programs like NYSC which have no or little impact on the economy.
The US unemployment rate stands at 3.1%, what the government does majorly is provide grants and create entrepreneurship institutions like Silicon Valley. Elon Musk got a grant from the government to start Space X, Meta, Google, and Microsoft are all products of Silicon Valley.
Which notable entrepreneur(s) has NYSC produced that has helped to solve the country's problem None undecided
Nigeria's unemployment rate stands at 53% among the youth and 90% of Nigerian graduates go to NYSC programs. The funniest thing is that it's not the US government that is creating the employment directly, the employment is being created by those who went through the grants & funding series, and Silicon Valley.
My opinions are
1 NYSC should be replaced with compulsory 6 months of entrepreneurship programs in major areas of the economy.
2 Every successful candidate should be given a noninterest loan of 5M each to start a venture.
3 Candidates who failed the programs should go for mandatory skill acquisition for 6 months. The government should give them the necessary equipment they need for their trade and a 1M noninterest loan. (e. g. , a trained fashion designer should be provided with a sewing machine, a weepy machine, and a 1M loan)

Business / Re: FOREX Crisis: Naira Plunges To 1,025/$, Job Losses, Factory Shutdown Loom by 9gerian: 9:54am On Oct 11, 2023
There is actually a global economic crisis made worse by the Russia/Ukraine war:

https://www.reuters.com/markets/imf-says-global-economy-limping-along-cuts-growth-forecast-china-euro-area-2023-10-10/

https://www.chronicle.ng/2023/10/homeless-residents-sleep-in-cemetery/

Israel/Palestine war will equally create more impact.

But the impact of these external events on Nigeria (and other oil producing countries) could have been well mitigated if the governments over the last 14 years knew what to do to make the nation energy efficient (optimum crude production) and sufficient (working refineries to efficiently meet local demand for petroleum products).

It is noteworthy that the last government did try in the agricultural sector with local production of rice, however, it equally sabotaged its own efforts with the free reign by the killer herdsmen and bandits that kept farmers away from their farms. Incredible indeed.

The government must declare a state of emergency in its energy and food sectors (food was declared but we are yet to feel the impact) to maintain a stable economy whatever it takes. Take care of those 2 things and the economy would stabilize gradually. Nigerians are a resilient people.

Business / Re: FOREX Crisis: Naira Plunges To 1,025/$, Job Losses, Factory Shutdown Loom by 9gerian: 9:21am On Oct 11, 2023
The genesis is the thinking that Nigeria has a foreign reserve of 33 billion USD as at the change of government only to later find out that the actual available is 3 billion USD. It turns out the previous government had artificially defended the Naira in a manner that completely depleted the foreign reserves on the one hand, and equally subsidized PMS consumption on the other hand all through foreign debts. Serious double whammy of exponential proportions that could have led to a Sri Lanka type of economic collapse if it had been continued.

The manner this was realized compounded issues, especially when the international banks declared a counter position against an initially corrected figure that the foreign reserves was about 18-20 billion (down from 33 billion) after adjusting for the declared foreign intervention debts of about 13 billion usd. As a result, currency Speculators became confident that the government can’t intervene much and have therefore doubled down on consistently buying up the dollar once made available through any government interventions. They know there is not enough reserve for the government to intervene or adequately supply the market. They are fully in charge controlling the market in conjunction with corrupt government officials who roundtrip the forex to maintain scarcity.

The other underlying cause is stolen crude oil that prevents Nigeria from meeting its daily opec quota. This one is a major cause in addition to the discovery that Some major oil wells were producing zero crude, hence the need for new major investments for finding and developing new wells. The inefficiencies and corruption (including the just removed fuel subsidy) in the oil/energy sector are actually the biggest undoing of the Nigerian economy. The close second undoing is the pervasive corruption in the land fueled by corrupt politicians and the even more corrupt civil service that constantly sabotage the people and economy for personal benefits. A very worrying development indeed.

It does appear that corporate governance was at its lowest ever during the last government.

The short term solution may be to stop the physical importation and use of dollar and other hard currency notes and taking such needs and transactions online for needed traceability and control.

Another solution (short to medium term) is to increase crude production intentionally through every possible means including stopping crude oil theft and the injection of new investments for starting new oil wells.

The government already kick started the gas pipeline to Europe. That needs to be completed in record time too.
