My literature teacher in SS1 (Laaye) came to his first lesson with a bundle of sticks (pànkéré). He was so harsh and mean that we dreaded him immediately. He turned out to be a softie/comedian. We eventually loved him but that first impression kept us in check for a long time. He didn't get to use the sticks.

PS: his nickname, Laaye is from the poem 'Salute to the Elephant'. He was so dramatic with that poem that I hear his voice in my head each time I read it.

How can a girl on a date ask 'what's your most expensive drink?' That's a red flag for me.
It's okay if she ordered an expensive drink that she likes or would like to taste with no knowledge of the price. Even if she picks one from the menu with the price listed, it's still okay...but to ask for the most expensive when you don't intend to pay, that's so wrong.
