"Elerin Ipin" is one of the best movies I've seen this year. I rate it highly just like I did "Jagun Jagun".

I regard "Elerin Ipin" in this manner because of the positive way it portrays Isese, Yoruba culture and traditions, especially the scenes (Philosophy 101 in Yoruba) about Orunmila, who is "the father of wisdom" for us, the real Yoruba people (not Yoruba-Arabs or Yoruba-English people).

The lead actor, Adeyemi Ifasooto, who also wrote and produced the epic movie, portrayed the concept of egbe (group) and atona (guide) well.

For wise Yoruba people, these are key support systems in this wicked world.

A person without such a support system and such vital connections to their roots (their ancestors and forebears) is weak and vulnerable.

There are some challenges one faces in life that make one realize logic isn't enough in certain situations in life and that Qur'an and the Bible have no real power.

In such situations, a wise person will know they need to turn to their ancestors and forebears for guidance.

These are your egbe (your group of souls) as designed by nature.

Even if a person's dad or mom or other key members of their family are dead here, they're still connected to the person on the other side (unless the person severes the ties themselves), and the knowledgeable can communicate with their deceased relatives or parents using certain waves, which operate like radio waves.

All this has its own math and physics underlying it. In the coming years, this knowledge will become popular.

When you look at the electromagnetic spectrum, those waves of extremely low frequencies (ELFs) you see around radio waves, which the majority of humans see as nothing or trivial, represent unknown realms or worlds to humans.

Those ELFs are a big deal to some people even though they mean nothing to the ignorant.

Freedom at last. Tani Olorun has opened a new chapter in the history of Isese, which is the totality of Yoruba culture and traditions, and the struggle for Yoruba people to gain freedom from their mental enslavement to the Arabs and the whites.

Okay, thank you. I've seen its review around and know what it's about briefly. But I've not had the time to watch it (or even any movie or series lately) due to busy work schedules.

I added some new words to my Igbo vocabulary today. So, I learnt Igbo is a tonal language, just like Yoruba, unlike languages like English and Arabic which are non-tonal.

Learning languages is an interesting hobby. Igbo and Yoruba languages have a number of aspects in common, especially the tonal aspect and some key terms such as Ifa (Yoruba) and Afa (Igbo).

When I left xtianity thanks to the bible contradictions, inconsistencies & how miracles stopped happening after the invention of internet & camera phones. I say make i check other religions.
I attended Eckankar in the past. Very different religion from Xtianity. They believe more in spirituality & reincarnation. Look like a rebranded & repackaged Native religion. Though they have a living a master who they worship & adore. Their sunday service is always brief.

Not knowing arabic language & inability 2 locate a nearby mosque discouraged me from joining islam. So why did you leave Islamic religion?

It was mainly curiosity (I read a lot), and my interactions with atheists and agnostics on Nairaland during my university days that pushed me to research deeply into Islam, Christianity, and other religions.

After leaving Islam about 8 years ago, I've been irreligious and mostly prefer being on my own.

Unless it's absolutely necessary, especially for professional purpose, I don't like joining groups apart from the natural ones (family, lineage).

This (the photo) is the popular belief among Islamic clerics anywhere in the world. The use of the brain is relegated to the background in favor of following anything the Qur'an and Sunnah say.

We see it in form of incantations and spells in our locality. Where I'm coming from is I believe there are spirits that most times influence the activities of some of these happenings once their "codes" are spoken or written out. I have seen a popular guy in my area few years back suddenly come out of his jeep, stripped himself naked and was dancing around. Okay, when people are discussing science in the theoretical stage, or even if it's established science, it's always good to research and think critically about things yourself because even in what's called established science, there are many wrong ideas (limitations), faulty assumptions, and the likes.

It was some of such limitations (wrong ideas) that great thinkers like Newton, Einstein, Dirac, Schrodinger, and the likes discovered and improved further in the established science of their time to develop a new science.

And this allowed them to write their names on the sands of time.

That was a common practice in other relatively developed parts of Africa and even other relatively developed parts of the world as well at various times in the past. It wasn't limited to just ancient Egypt.

It's one of their ways of protecting their knowledge from being stolen and misused in ancient times.

However, such a practice has its downsides (like what we've been witnessing today about the way people use words like "juju", "voodoo" ignorantly).

In modern times, we use technology (different software programs and the likes) and various laws to do this (intellectual property protection), such as encryption techs, various intellectual property (IP) laws, and the likes.

All these have their downsides as well.

About the replication aspect, research work in science is done in stages and follows specific, well-laid-down protocols.

What I stated in that post are in the theoretical stage. However, for some thinkers, once you see the physics and math for something, and those are sound and logical, its applications (the techs to be built from the physics and math) are just around the corner, especially if such applications had already been developed in the past (extinct) eras.

I found that news update from Google interesting. Due to some projects I've been working on for a while now, this part of the news report specifically caught my attention, as reported by Legit.ng:

"For the physics and geometry solver, Google leveraged its Multitask Unified Model (MUM), which understands specific search queries across various formats, including text, images and videos."

On the plus side, this tool will help students solve complex problems more easily and facilitate learning of difficult concepts and topics, especially in Math and Physics.

However, it can stifle the creativity of students, especially those pupils who love copying solutions to problems verbatim from their fellow students or on Internet platforms without understanding what they've copied.

If any student really wants to excel in their studies, they've to ensure use of technological tools like calculator, Google, ChatGPT, and the likes doesn't stifle their creativity and ingenuity.

For instance, if a student wants to be extremely good at Math, they've to learn how to solve Math problems without the use of a calculator.

That's what even the gifted ones really love.

It's intelligent people that solve various problems humanity faces. This is one key reason why students are taught various courses in schools to develop their cognitive skills and problem-solving ability.

Apart from academics, anyone can demonstrate intelligence and creativity in any area of life and excel there with hard work, determination, and luck (this last factor depends on the first two).
