Peeps are saying since Jigga came out since 96 he shoulda sold more and then i ask how many rappers that have been out since then are still relevant now? 11 multiplatinum selling albums na beans? Even Rockstars would kill for that C.V not to talk of rappers

Ibime is the Rafa Benitez of NL's FPL

@Borat
Yeah i know! I wanted to sneak in Villa players in my team and there really wasn't anyone else for me to pick i thought with the world cup coming up he would raise his game to at least make the Three Lions bench for WOZA 2010 but it seems the Babylonian had other plans and even Dave Bentley must be fancying his chances now. Picking defensive players from Villa turned out to be a bad move and Galacticos must be a tad upset! it was a road game anyway and when i realized that i pumped ma brakes on Villa defenders

Its nice to see the captain leading by example 9goals already and i am backing him to get 20 in all competitions he has an eye for goal too and should be scoring more from the middle a la Lamps

Happy to see Young Zizou back! And with him Fab,Arsha and Rozzy (fingers crossed) around it would be soccer symphony and showtime at the Emirates and any other stadia our music tour takes us

Diaby is one lucky mofo! Injuries just seem to keep working in his favor. At least we don't have to rely on Eboue and his mofonic tendencies in that RWF position Nasri,Diaby or Rozzy could play there

I think the Arshavin critics should ease up on him! He has goals in the EPL and UCL and is doing his bit. We don't want to exhaust all the bullets in our Kalashnikovs and Tec 9's at this stage of the battle its still too early! Cesc would not always be in sparkling form this we all know and that is when we would need to call on our Ace to do the bidness and i have no doubts in ma mind that the assasin would deliver

Maybe he is having relationship issues. He is a better player than Rondo he should not react to taunts from a lesser one. He should learn from what Dirk did to Tim Thomas in 06

@Jesoul
A.I is unhappy about his role with the Grizzlies. Same ish different toilet

PETA are just idiots! Na too much enjoyment cause am

Dirk is a BEAST!! Anyone that thinks he is not think they know but they have no idea
2 stls,5 assists,5 blocks,40pts (29pts in the 4th) it doesn't get any more clutch than that

Apparently someone did not give Mike Miller the "don't wear any Lebron James paraphenalia" memo. He was wearing a cool pair of LBJ sneakers while the Wizards got their customary beatdown from Lebron and co. Toshmann!!! Where you been compadre??

I like Rafa but i think more than anyone else he has been the problem of that Liverpool side i mean can anyone point to one outstanding signing he has made aside from Fernando Torres since he got to England?
His haste to buy Robbie Keane and then flog him off counts as one of his numerous gaffes and WTF was he going to do with Dossena,Degen and those buncha average Joes he signed. Aside Benayoun they don't have a bench no backup for Torres and the list goes on and on and on. Although TBH injury has been unfair to him this season there is no team that would not miss Gerrard and Torres it is still expected that Liverpool should not have lost 5 league games before November

I heard of the Rondo/CP3 beef and i think CP3 over-reacted from what i heard Rondo told CP3 that he has won a ring and that CP3 might never win one
Newsflash Rondo!! CP3 would win a ring! but first he has to get his butt out of the Hornets but seriously CP3 should man up trash-talking is part of NBA if he played in the 90's he would probably cry after every game

A.I has started bitching about his role again!! Why didn't they just let him go to Greece or better yet retire!! I feel his pain sha its not like he is being benched on the Celtics team but he needs to accept the window has closed on him

JeSoul:
My brother, for how long were the Packers supposed to be held hostage to Favre? He retired, cried during the press conf and all and they moved on, only for his behind to show up at training camp and demand he be annointed once again with the starting job?

He shoulda humbled himself and competed with Rodgers for it like they offered instead of turing his nose up in the air in diva-like indignation and stomping his feet like the spolied bratt that he is. Numbers or no numbers, I support the Packers decision. Athletes no matter how accomplished should know they are not above the game . . . just like Manny with the Red Sox. We lost huge #s after we got got rid of him but to me it was addition by subtraction.

lol . . . these Saints are frightening though. I don't think anyone can stop this run they're on. See Brees looking like a combination of Brady and Peyton throwing accurate passes to guys with triple coverage . . . they have the chance to go all the way this yr.
Lemme play devil's advocate here. . grin grin grin Favre was and had been their franchise QB for eons the truth is that franchise is probably never going to have any player as good as Favre and despite his drama he was doing the bidness on the football field and was still somewhat productive. Now with all that he had done at Green Bay its only normal that he would feel insulted for having to compete for a starting job with Rodgers who was practically an unknown at the time.Its easy for us to stand from the outside and criticize but place yourself in his shoes. Would you happily compete with or deputize for someone you know you are better than? He is no saint though but these things happen and sometimes we forget these athletes are human too

Could you raise your golden/yellow terrible towel twist it round your hand and wave it like a helicopter like a true Steeler would

@Jesoul
Lets be fair to Favre though on his day even Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would pay homage and i still think the Packers did him greasy after leading them to 13-3 and the NFC Championship game in 08. They say Men lie Women lie numbers don't the Packers are 10-16 since he left and Favre is 16-8! They have not been better without him and for now and barring any spectacular upgrades. A-Rodge is still an apprentice to Favre. Oo si n ko se (e still dey learn work) We go do freedom party for am when he leads the Packers to the playoffs

@Bawo
TBH, Your posts on NFL these days have got me questioning your sanity. Apart from the fact that form is temporary and class is permanent. Did it occur to you that both the Vikings & Pats comfortably lead their divisions?

Orton's non deep throwing ass has given them 6 straight wins! Sorry but Eddie Royal does not score punt return and kick off TD's every game, they where bound to lose sometime. His non deep throwing ass threw about 2TD's and copped him a 114.5 passer rating against the Chargers

The Chargers are playoff contenders so i don't know what you are on? You have typed enuff opaks for one day. Go to the library and get a chic to give you some medulla oblongata(head) if you've listened to "Poke her face" you would understand me

Shior una for no beat Browns na. Those ones na awoof to stop the rot for your Bears

Don't get it twisted i wish him to score but above all i wish y'all to lose and this has happened twice already! Nothing would make me happier than seeing Drogba grab a hat-trick in a sensational 3-3 draw against Utd. I like Drogba though! I always have one player from a rival club i always wished was a Gunner, he's been very reliable and the week i swapped him for that Rastafarian Togolese bloodclot at Man City i horribly regretted it

5-3-2? Hell nah if i had my way i would play 3-3-4 with RVP,Torres,Drogba and Bent in attack. What happens if your entire defensive unit fails to keep a clean sheet? I have had weeks where my pts total shrink before my very eyes when my defender's team concede consolatory goals,last gasp equalizers or goals that condemn them to defeat. Its very demoralizing

Me watch just the Boxscore? Stop sniffing barbiturates bobo. I saw three Broncos games last season,The Pro Bowl and 2 Bears games this season. . He didn't start choking at the Bears so your O-Line is not entirely at fault

He used his feel to play the Seahawks? Hahaha talent dey waste! Go and audition for Def Comedy Jam or Saturday Night Live cos even Stevie Wonder can use his feel to play the Seahawks. Those ones dey play D at all? Where was his feel against the Falcons & Bengals. Its actually disrespectful of me to mention him with elite throwers like McNabb and Warner i hope they forgive me. He would struggle to be on Matt Ryan's level sef

Can he cut down his INT's? I wouldn't bet on it! When a QB throws 7 INT's in the red zone alone in a season and a quarter you begin to wonder

@Biina
I thought i told you the Eagles know how to fuckup the Giants and would most likely do so. The NFC East is now wide open! Things have improved for the Cowboys since they made Miles Austin their marquee WR we shall find out if he's legit or a fluke in due course

Bawo stop hating on Orton! This your Cutler addiction is something else you need a 12-step program!! Bobo they played the fucking Ravens! And last time i checked they where one of the best D's in the league as if thats not bad enuff they face the Steelers next week and i expect them to lose too. You must be loco if you think i would beat up Orton for losing to two of the best D's in the league! If you Bears had their schedule y'all would finish 6-10

I ain't even a Blue but someone needs to talk to Drogba about his finishing! He is costing me FPL pts. . We know he is good with his back to goal, on the air and what not but he is still very deficient on one on ones we saw that yesterday
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Nairaland Fantasy Football League 2009/2010 by A40(m): 5:18pm On Nov 01, 2009
The FPL makers are English so i am not suprised! There is no way both cats should cost that much. . For example with the crap Ashley Young has been playing this season he should be worth 3.8 and not 8.3

RVP has given me 12pts another 12pts and 15pts in the last three weeks and he wasn't even ma captain in two out of those three weeks! Thats as productive as it gets. Nando and Liverpool need to get their ish together i need that matador in ma team. Drogba's wastefulness has landed him in probation his finishing yesterday made me want to throw up! It was disgusting! Three one on ones with Jaaskelainen and he missed em all
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Nairaland Fantasy Football League 2009/2010 by A40(m): 4:20pm On Nov 01, 2009
@Eldee
Which still boils down to efficiency or the lack of it. From all the big names mentioned the only cats i don't have are Lampard & Evra. Players lose form but i have learnt to assume they would lose form. . Darren Bent is a good example besides its a world cup year so expect most quality players on the pitch. Not changing an FPL team for 3 months is a mighty long time! Thats just suicide IMO
A lot can go right or wrong in 3months its better to keep your team flexible

@Cristalz
No guts, No glory i guess but what if the players you copped don't deliver? You might be hesitant to change things because of pts losses. You would not score 88pts every week

@Borat
Lampard is too bloody over-priced! How can he be worth 12.something when Cesc is more productive than he is. He should phock off! I am still monitoring Liverpool & the Fernando Torres situation. Its just that RVP has been doing the bidness since i bought him
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Nairaland Fantasy Football League 2009/2010 by A40(m): 1:41pm On Nov 01, 2009
Infact we at Team Roc are not just about getting pts! The beauty is in the efficiency. What drives us is the objective to get the most pts with the least resources thats our mantra lol

For example losing 4pts for a striker is not a wise gamble unless u are sure of a hatrick,brace or a goal and assist from him! If he scores just a goal you might have as well kept your misfiring striker as 6pts - 4 is still 2!

Now if he ends up not scoring then thats -4 now that woulda been fine if the striker you sold did not score however if he did then the least number of pts you would lose is 6! If he scores an assist to bounce grabs a deuce or more the pts loss take a geometric progression
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Nairaland Fantasy Football League 2009/2010 by A40(m): 12:56pm On Nov 01, 2009
@Cristalz
Be you? I laugh in Auto-Tune. . . .
I have learnt this week that this FPL thing is not by gra-gra my team got the least attention from me this week and i still got my 2nd highest pts total

You did get a lot of pts and your gamble worked to a T! The question is was it efficient? I made just one transfer and ended up with 71 you made 9 and ended up with 88 so after all is said and done i bagged 15pts more than u with far less wahala
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Nairaland Fantasy Football League 2009/2010 by A40(m): 1:49am On Nov 01, 2009

This Villa thing is complicated. I got the shitty Ashley Young(Obasanjo would rule the US before Capello would add him to his World Cup squad) he's been piss-poor! I also ran to cop Friedel and i wonder if i would be given points from him in the mid-week
