Is it not ironic that Scholes got away with a deliberate handball last week at Stoke? and he was already on a yellow!! I would bet if Rooney did what Richardson did there he would not have been sent off but hey it coulda been worse a dubious penalty or 1 hour extra time coulda been added grin grin cheesy cheesy

I guess you are one of those Floridans who made Tampa Bay, your first love, while rooting for 'em Indy Colts. grin grin

Your man Dungy was such an under-achiever jare! 1 miserly superbowl in about 8 years. He coulda done better especially with a younger and fitter Manning pulling the strings then!
Be grateful there are teams who have not won a playoff game in a decade grin grin

biina:
Baltimore @NE: Hope they beat up on Brady and the patriots

Tennesse @ Jacksonville: The jaguars should soften them up for us.

Seattle @ Indy: Colts 4 - 0  grin

Dallas @ Denver: A good test for both teams, particularly for the Broncos as this is their first serious opposition. Romo is always entertaining to watch, irrespective of who dallas is playing.

San Diego @ Pittsburgh : Hate Rivers and the Chargers; hope the Steelers crush 'em
The Titans stink! I always suspected that team was dodgy i want to see the under-achieving Jaguars step their game up and beat them

Colts should be too strong for the Seahawks even though stranger things have happened

Broncos vs Cowboys: Hmm i would go with the Cowboys they seem quite a better team and are not missing T.O at all!! Marion Barber,Felix Jones and Witten have been holding up well as far as i am concerned the Broncos luck tank must be on E right now judging from their next few gameweeks

The Steelers should nick it against San Diego i mean the rot has to stop somewhere so i am backing my boys to handle their bidness

Watch out for my boy Mark Sanchez now thats an efficient QB right there
Music/Radio › Re: Drake - Forever Ft. Wayne,kanye & Eminem. Eminem Has Done It Again by A40(m): 7:43pm On Oct 02, 2009
These Stans have started bussing nuts again  huh huh First and Foremost the song is not all that!! I have heard better collabos in 09. Now back to that track there is nothing out of the ordinary about Eminem's lines granted he was louder than anyone else and this always gives Stans orgasmic pleasure but aside that word for word Eminem didn't massacre anyone.So y'all should cool it

ravenzord:
For lyrical depth on that song it was Drake all the way,Eminem killed it of course cos his delivery and multis were the illest,as for Kanye,he was just normal Kanye,and Weezy wasn't as bad as everyone's saying,the line: 'Let the king talk, check the price and pay attention. makes sense 2 me. Good Song
Gbasibe!! The thing is i have never been a big multis fan i would simply liken Eminem's verse to Young Buck when he was rapping with G-Unit i am not saying Buck is on the same lyrical level as EM what i am saying is his verses usually catch your attention cos of the high-octane delivery and loudness

@edoyad
So do we just play tall players for playing sake? I'm sure we can borrow Yao Ming from the NBA teach him footie and draft him to the middle. Cos i wonder who is in Diaby's league of all those players you mentioned
He should only feature cos he brings something to the team and not just cos he is tall. Song,Cesc,Denilson win more balls,tackles and complete more passes in the middle and please i want to know the games Diaby contributed aerially to our game play and no the Man U game does not count. Abou's problem is he is not as good a dribbler as he thinks he is. The other thing is he is a very slow thinker and therefore does not know when to hold the ball or simply pass it and till he sorts that out his height as we saw against Utd would always be more of a liability than an asset

BTW i have a funny feeling Gooner is ahonohai
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by A40(m): 8:42pm On Sep 30, 2009
@debosky
It seems Anderson is not the only one paying school fees here

@duduspace
Lemme address your points one by one

Starting with who you would prefer defending a set piece we all saw how well he did that against Man.U. You don't have a case here,Cesc brings more to the table defensively than Diaby

Secondly our patented wasteful style is more inclined with our profligacy in front of goal. We are usually clueless going forward without Cesc whether he is direct or not is irrelevant to the discourse as he remains the gear,engine room and piston in our midfield. Your Liege illustration was a one-off which Diaby has always proven over time

Thirdly no be only Steel na copper. We won that match thankfully to Mannone's brilliance then Cesc's pass and RVP's iceberg finish. Diaby didnt do shit! Danny Murphy had hin in his pocket from start to finish

Fourthly that is just an excuse IMHO the draws made the run insignificant and useless to our cause. Infact we have A.Villa's wafer thin squad and AA's arrival to thank for finishing 4th

Ma Fifth point as per the F.A semis. Diaby got the stick he deserved cos Arshavin did more in 15mins than Diaby did the entire 90! Besides i am at a loss when you use the term "lightweight" how heavy are the likes of Scholes,Giggs,Carrick and Anderson? How heavy are Xavi,Iniesta and Messi? As for Walcott he was our best performer that day infact if only RVP had buried his cross we woulda been singing a different hook. Aside Fabianski. .Denilson & Diaby where our worst performers that day i was so sure we would lose that game when i saw them starting ahead of Nasri and Arshavin

Lastly he is too inconsistent to consistently rep the Gunners. Diaby is in that squad primarily because of Nasri's absence(infact i am suspecting thats why he injured him in training)he and Cesc coulda been our Xavi and Iniesta lol
Diaby has been at Arsenal since 06 and unlike the early days of Song he has had far more playing opportunities. I think 3 years is more than enough time to show your worth!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by A40(m): 5:07pm On Sep 29, 2009
Ogheneme!! Some peeps are even listing height as a justification for his inclusion in the midfield. . .Riddle me this! How tall are Xavi,Iniesta,Busquets,Keita,Gattuso? How tall is Arshavin? Scholes,Giggs,Fletcher,Carrick or Hargreaves? Height is not a factor in midfield in fact the longer your legs the harder it is to make clean tackles or even throw that defense-splittin pass
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by A40(m): 4:43pm On Sep 29, 2009
@duduspace
Are you Katt Williams in disguise?

First and Foremost i would take opinions of experienced footie commentators over that of fans everyday of the week.

Secondly. . Never ever ever mention Diaby & Defense in the same sentence cos even Cesc does more defending than Diaby does

Thirdly your example of the Hull game is a uber-poor one! Their goals came from a long range strike and a set-piece so i wonder what difference the diabolical one would have made there,infact we owned that game from start to finish and only our patented wasteful style allowed Hull to do a smash & grab on us.
Stop referring to that annoying 17 game run it didnt win us shyte do u know we drew about 4 straight games in that run?3 at home and against sub-par opposition too? Ok how about the crucial run of games we lost at the tail end of last season? Against Chelsea in the F.A semis Diaby was undoubtedly the worst player on the pitch

Besides his occasional flash in the pan performances he is one player whose inclusion in the team is somewhat mind-boggling he lacks defensive steel and tackling ability of a DM,he is not creative enough to be a Cesc,too slow to be a winger and he definitely cannot drive a team like an Essien,Gerard or Paddy V would do.
So please tell me his use other than an extra body in the squad or as he's been aptly described "a luxury player"

Na so we see am oh our offense took the day off in the first two games and in game 3 our D decided to take the day off in the 4th quarter! Palomalu is sorely being missed cos the secondary is shyte.Big Ben has also been unable to locate Santonio lately but i'm sure we'll recover last season has thought me not to rejoice over early starts.The Cowboys where 3-0 and finished 6-7 to miss the playoffs same thing for the Jets and even the Titans with their best record in the AFC got dumped out in the divisionals.Although i have to admit some teams have just been whack! The Panthers,Bucs,Titans,Redskins(Haynesworth's addition did not change jack maybe they should have gone for a WR cos they stink on offense) and even Cardinals (not writing these ones off ohh! they started worse last year)

@bawo

Am i dreamin? Whats all this noise been made about Diaby? He was arguably the worst player on red and white last Saturday! He sucked so bad that even the commentators wondered why Diaby was being pimped like a two dollar ho by Danny Murphy (who's about half his size i could almost swear i saw him in chinchilla fur with a hat to match)anyone who saw the match on Hitv would attest to that.
He's been at Arsenal since 06 and is yet to prove he is more than just a squad member! Even younger players like Song,Walcott,Nasri and maybe even a Denilson have somewhat proven their relevance.Diaby has not

Pls when is Nasri coming back? I'm tired of seeing that diabolical fella

Tamuno calls halt to transfer spending
by Martin Samuel (Daily Mail correspondent)

Buoyed by last week’s 94 point haul, Barclays Fantasy Manager of the month, Ibime Tamuno has splurged a further £16m 16 points on new acquisitions, after which he drew a line under MEND FC’s transfer campaign. Tamuno is only the latest manager to call time on his transfer campaign following a similar declaration by Sir Alex Ferguson earlier this month. MEND FC’s latest acquisitions bring their total summer spending to £76m 76 points. Analysts have opined that MEND FC’s expenditure has seen them cede ground to their title rivals. However, Tamuno believes that such expenditure is necessary to keep the club competitive. As such, he has declared that barring injury or a force majeure, MEND FC will not be making any further purchases in the Extended Discount Window. Tamuno now believes that he has the most efficient squad that £100m has to offer. Perusing over his squad list, this journalist for one is inclined to agree.

Critics of MEND FC have argued that the latest points deduction have put an irrecoverable distance between MEND FC and bitter rivals Team Roc and Gateway FC. In response Tamuno stated that “Team Roc and Gateway FC are just noisy neighbours. Their early season flurry is nothing but initial gra-gra. They have reached their nadir and will find their level over time.” He went on to state that he believes that MEND FC’s only rivals are Sooting Stars, and every other team is just flattering to deceive. He also spoke extensively of his respect for Chun Li and the steady job she has been doing at Reptilez FC despite having to work to stringent budgetary constraints. His latest comments will only serve to fuel whispers that Tamuno will recommend Li as his successor at MEND FC when the managerial behemoth finally decides to call it a day.

Whether engaging in a game of brinkmanship with his rivals; or speaking of his admiration for other managers, Tamuno pulls no punches. He remains an irreconcilable pugilist, which bodes well for a captivating title race this season. Let’s just hope that his rivals are ready to rumble.

                  Fernando "El Nino" Torres scoops the FPL Player of The Month Award

                         By Akpos Ogheneajiri OgheneVirgilio (The Urhobo Times)

The FPL Player of the month award last night went to Fernando Torres at a ceremony held at the 40/40 club/sports bar in attendance was club owner,FPL President and Team Roc supremo Shawn Corey Carter
A more elaborate ceremony was later held at the Team Roc HQ in Bedford-Stuyvesant (Bed-Stuy) where "El Nino" Team Roc's captain was also awarded player of the month ahead of Didier Drogba and Darren Bent,his prize was a timeless Patek Phillipe timepiece which is valued at a quarter of a million euros

In other related events Team Roc's manager Sizzla Kalange who has been embroiled in a war of words with Tamuno Ibime and Adedayo Adepoju managers of MEND FC and Sooting Stars respectively chose the opportunity to address the ongoing feudo which began at the manager of the month's award where Sizzla Kalange was 2nd runner up behind Tamuno and Adedayo, Despite their pyrhhic victory it seems both geriatric managers are envious of and somewhat uncomfortable with the young and dynamic Sizzla whose meteoric rise has wowed both the FPL fans,players and managers alike.In response to allegations of disrespect and insubordination,Sizzla was quoted as saying "I dont owe these niggas nothing"

What most educated observers sense is responsible for the bad blood between the geriatric coaches and the dynamic manager is the seemingly efficient way at which Team Roc is run. . "Despite lavish spending their inability to pull away from Team Roc even after spending almost five times more is enough to get anyone mad ,In subsequent weeks we shall know who is who i am a manager that lets his players do the talking on the pitch. . Enu o se" was Mr Kalange's closing remarks

Its early days yet but the managerial tug of war has begun in earnest and unto the victor goes the spoils.Lets Play
